Yellowstone floods

Did any one get flooded out at Yellowstone?  Looks pretty bad.  I imagine you'all know about it, but here's a link anyway

Can you imagine being parked at the view point when the road in front and behind you disappeared?  That would be the end of our trip when we were there a couple of years ago driving through, out to Montana. Wonder how the insurance would handle it. That road grader will be stuck possibly for ever.

We were in the area June 1-6. Made most of the figure 8 in our motorhome. That and more in the toad. My wife is know for bringing rain with her. Glad we were not there over the weekend. 

With government money in short supply, it may take a long time to get this repaired.

The gov spends money on all kinds of nonsense, but you are right this will prolly be way down the list. 

I wish some of that rain was here in No East Tx. It is getting very dry.  We keep up several acres and it's nearly impossible to get enough water on the grass etc.

We live in Grand Teton NP.

DAMAGE  is extensive in YNP.

All 5 entrances are closed 

They've been evacuating the park for two days.

Northern loop will not reopen this year. Southern loop will not open for another 5 days at the earliest.

Reservations to enter the park are being considered.

That little washout is pretty minor compared to the unreal destruction to all three of our major east / west highways in B.C this last fall!
