Many motor homes like yours have a variable speed pump that speeds up as more than one faucet is opened.. mine speeds up each time I open more than one demand up to all five faucets. It keeps the flow constant no matter how any are opened. I believe I suggested that might be the problem several weeks ago. Glad you got it fixed. Yes it was you Bill, thanks for saving me tearing the city/tank valve apart for no reason. I thought for sure it was not seating all the way. Bill C
I ended up tearing apart/cutting the water connection area, in order to replace the check valve, only to discover that this was not the problem. It was the water pump. That's why I mentioned that to you, in order to save you the headache I went through 🙂 Bill
Dr4Film
The description doesn't state whether it is variable speed or not. I have posted that specific question on the Amazon web site. Once I have an answer, I will post it here. Seems like a great value to carry as a back-up.
Dr4Film
Here is the answer to whether this pump is variable speed. Customer questions & answers Q: Is the 5.5 gpm water pump variable speed? A: No it is not By john ramstad in the United States on December 30, 2023
Kent Madison
I had a 2005 imperial and that valve was the winter antifreeze valve. I had a 3 gallon holding tank that held antifreeze and when I changed the switch over the door to :winterize" it would operate that valve to the antifreeze tank from the water holding tank and pump antifreeze throughout the home. 06Windsor
This is probably it. Cause I do have a small plastic thank in the compartment with my filters and manifold valves. And there is a winterize switch but I had no ideal what it did. Thank you. Now I’m getting closer.
Kent Madison
I would not effect the overfilling of the tank, as it is not connected to the pressure side of the water system. It only changes the suction side of the water pump from the freshwater tank to the antifreeze holding tank.
06Windsor
Thank you and I’ve figured out the over fill problem. It was my water pump back feeding.
