thomasgibbens Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I am wintering in the Mesa, AZ area and have two windows that have lost their seal and have fogged over. Has anyone tried a repair business in that area that is reliable? Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
vito.a Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 RV Glass solutions has a shop in the Phoenix area. When we visited they had electrical hookups. https://rvglassexperts.com/rv-glass-locations/
Ukulelemark Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Hey Tom, Dual Pane solutions in Mesa, AZ. We have an appointment tomorrow morning Presently on the road from Florida. They have great customer service and their pricing is very reasonable. Mark
Warren B Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I’ve used Auto Glass Boss twice in the last five years and found them to be excellent. They are based in Mesa, AZ, but have mobile units. Had one window done at a rally in Indio, CA five years ago, and one done last year in Yuma, AZ. Both repairs were perfect.
thomasgibbens Posted December 20, 2023 Author Posted December 20, 2023 Thanks to you both. I will contact them. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
planodp Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Before you drive all the to Mesa, AZ you might want to call
frankogrly Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 My experience with Glass Boss wasn't good. After first rain water filled the area between the panes. They were not willing to offer a refund and were very indignant. I was a thousand miles from Mesa and wasn't practical to return. Frank O 01 Endeavor
PeterSchweizer Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Tom: When you complete this work could you share the size of the 2 windows and what the cost was and if you where happy with their work. Will they remove and reseal your existing glass panes or replace them with new glass? Thanks, Peter On 12/19/2023 at 9:23 AM, Ukulelemark said: Hey Tom, Dual Pane solutions in Mesa, AZ. dennis.mcdonaugh Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Just a thought, I repaired my drivers side slider about 5 years ago and it’s held up great. The materials cost a little over $100 then.
Ukulelemark Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Hi Peter, we are very satisfied with the work and customer service @ Dual Panes Solutions, Mesa ,AZ. Its best to call them for pricing based on what degree of fogging /etching you might have. They charge $150. / window for removal, de fog reseal glass using a butyl sealer and replace with a non silicone sealer. We do have some etching that is not noticeable on the door window. The horizontal top window does have a very noticeable amount of etching so we opted to have it replaced with dual pane tempered glass. Cost is a $415. We recommend them highly. 1
Guardian74 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Planodp, what was your experience with quick fix headliners and glass? I have water running between the panes during hard rain.
planodp Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Guardian74, just passing information from our sister site https://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/rv-window-defogging-in-texas-481961.html
Guardian74 Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 OK thanks, I spoke with someone at the facility yesterday. It looks like they have a good process. It's a bit lengthy. She said it's about 10 days total for the driver 2 piece window with the electric roll down. It doesn't matter to me because I live here.
