  1. Took a while, but I *finally* got that posted.
  2. I was coming here to say the same thing… especially with the cruise control issues. Here’s a video done by member @TedZimmer on how to replace:
  3. Robert, Not to further confuse, but to provide additional info… My 2006 Diplomat is on the same chassis (Roadmaster RR8R) and same length as your Knight. Our coaches are essentially twins, with the Dip have a few more bells and whistles (and therefore a little heavier) You might consider going with a slightly larger tire. This will allow you to run a few lbs less pressure and have a slightly smoother ride (don’t expect too much of a difference). I run Toyo M154 tires size P295/75R22.5 at 105 psi, based on weighing my coach. The considerations are ensuring the 295’s don’t rub (they won’t) and a few more $$ per tire. It’s pretty common to run 295s on a RR8R chassis. Hope that helps…
  4. Well, I can decipher P=Private bath (not “W” walk-thru or “D” double bath) and T=Triple slide. The “S” could be several things… “Sofa on Slide” or “Sink on Slide” were two common ones. my 40DST has both a sofa and sink on slides… Could be “Supreme, Super, or Splendiferous” or maybe it’s just there to confuse everyone…🤣
  5. This article from an old Monaco Coach Corp may help. While it doesn’t contain every combination, it does come straight from a Monaco Coach Corporation Tech Support newsletter: PBDD = Private (single) Bath, Double (slide) Dinette
  6. My apologies if the response from Frank and I has been less than stellar lately. I’m on my fifth trip back to MS in six weeks due to a family illness. My MIL is very ill and 94 years old. This has been tough on my beautiful wife. Frank has also had an issue keeping him from the keyboard recently (Not my story to tell) Tom and Dave have been holding down the fort for us, but it’s easier with four than two! Please be patient if we don’t respond immediately… Hopefully we’ll all be back in the saddle soon!
  7. I used this Pioneer kit from Amazon. (And yes, my dash is a flat panel 😁) https://amzn.to/3RY2FdJ
  8. Ron, The wipers on your 2006 Knight are the same as my 2006 Dip. I was having trouble with the blades lifting off the glass. After trying new, shorter blades and a few other tricks, I called AM Equipment and spoke with their tech support. For my case, the solution was to replace the arms, as the springs that hold the arms to the glass were fatigued, and cannot be replaced. That doesn’t sound like your problem… I would suggest giving AM Equipment a call and speaking with them about it. It’s what they do for a living 😂. They will ask details about your coach and wipers. That is likely your quickest route to a solution.
  9. I believe Gary @NGADawgs has done this on his 2007 Dip. I can’t find a post on it, but I know I 3-D printed some adapters for him. Maybe he can give you some tips.
  10. If you're not receiving newsletters for some reason, or if you ever want to go back and look at older newsletters (no need to keep them in your inbox since they are archived on the site.), the following information may help: This link will always take you to the current Newsletter: https://www.monacoers.org/newsletters/1-monacoers-daily-news/ If you scroll to the bottom of that page, there is a link to the last 4-5 newsletters, and button (link) to View All Newsletters. Here is a link to the archive of all newsletters back to the beginning of the current Monacoers.org site: https://www.monacoers.org/newsletters/1-monacoers-daily-news/?do=issues Still working on that archive of the old Yahoo! site (I have the database), but haven't found a way to convert that database to something that's friendly with our current provider. If you ever want me to look something up, I do take special requests... Hope that helps! Scotty
  11. That is not an IOTA ITS-50R. Here’s what an Iota looks like inside: Here is an ESCO LPT50BRD install on the same coach (the bottom unit is a Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C surge protector): Some may disagree, but my opinion is that the Southwire 40100 is a better ATS than the Lyght (ESCO). (And for the record, I have the ESCO LPT50BRD in my coach - but I plan to change it out.) The reason behind my opinion is the way that the Southwire unit does “break before make” on the neutral. This prevents the possibility of feedback through the neutral when switching between shore power and genny while still plugged into shore power (another topic for debate). The LPT50BRD does not “break before make” and could, potentially allow feedback through the neutral. Now, this can absolutely be prevented (with ANY ATS) by simply unplugging shore power before starting the genny (or conversely, never plugging into shore power with the genny running) - both of which rules i follow with my current setup. The Southwire unit will require more work to install, and many Monacoers haves used the ESCO/Lyght LPT50BRD for many years with no problems at all. BUT, from the standpoint of an engineer that worked in the electric utility industry for 43+ years, my opinion is that the Southwire is a better design.
  12. @Georgia Mike, I have the software and equipment to read the Bendix brake system fault codes. Maybe next time I head south I can throw it in the truck and we can check your brake controller. I’m in Marietta, so about an hour (or so) away. Let me know if you want to try and set that up. Scotty
  13. Ok. I also sent from my Yahoo! email address. Wonder what's up with that?? See the private message I sent on here with my phone number. Call me when you can. Scotty
  14. I wouldn’t necessarily call it an upgrade, but I have a remote coach monitoring system, and I went with a Hughes Power Watchdog because it integrates with the RV Whisper remote monitoring system. Electrically they are very similar, but the Hughes connects via Bluetooth to the RV Whisper.
  15. I have a used - but in perfect condition - Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Hardwired RV Surge & Electrical Protector and a Progressive Industries EMS-RDS Remote Digital Display (with a custom Paul Whittle @pwhittle designed flush-mount plate) for sale. $150 for all + you pay shipping. Here is a link to the Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C description and specs: https://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems-hw50c Here is a link to the Progressive Industries EMS-RDS description and specs: https://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems-rds Here are current pictures of the unit I have for sale:
  16. I can only speak for my coach, but the OEM drums on my 2006 Diplomat were made by Webb. Very expensive and hard to find these days. Some upper-level Roadmasters had disc brakes; someone else will have to answer that part… Also, there is a plethora of information on brake parts in the parts list!! PS - I used aftermarket drums (mine had a crack in the driver’s side steer axle drum) and they were significantly less than the Webb drums. The only difference was the aftermarket drums didn’t have the little screw holes to hold the drum to the axle before you put the wheels on. That’s been a few years ago and the aftermarket drums work just fine.
