  1. I believe there is already RJ12 cable running along the same path I would run the new cable. It is for connecting the inverter to the ME-ARC remote panel below the EMS.
  2. Look at my last post again Bob. I’m not missing the water pump switch. Now if I had a water heater switch there that would be one answer to my question. But there are two empty holes on the panel and water pump would NOT be one of them.
  3. Here is a picture of another switch panel in my wet bay. So the water pump switch is not one of the ones that might have been in the empty holes at the bottom of the fluid tank/battery display. If there never was anything in either the center or right hole of this panel I can avoid the big pain it will be to remove the entire wet bay wall to find what may have fallen behind it. Chris Throgmartin, are you there? What do you have on the fluid quantity indicator panel? I know. Chris Throgmartin has the “identical” year and model as mine but that doesn’t mean they are the same. Maybe I’ll get lucky. Ed
  4. 2005 HR Ambassador. The EMS and battery monitor display panels are on the wall beside the toilet door on the road side. The inverter is in the farthest rear bay on the curb side. Is it possible to pull a new RJ12 cable between these two locations for a new BMK or is that not reasonable? Ed
  5. The tank level panel in the wet bay of my 2005 HR Ambassador was recently pulled without disconnecting anything. On the bottom of the panel are 3 openings for switches or buttons. I don’t remember how many selectors were on the bottom of the panel before. Now there is only one which activates the lights to tell how full all of the tanks are. The other two holes are just that, empty holes. This makes me wonder if one or two switches became detached and are lying out of sight behind the panel. Before I spend a lot of time fishing for these switches can anyone tell me if there should be some switch/button in either or both of the holes? Thanks
  6. I found a qt. of Ace brand at Ace Hardware. Label says Dexron-3/Mercon. Going to use it.
  7. Thanks, I’ll look around for the Valvoline Dex/Merc. I think I saw the same label on a Fram bottle. I’ll read the fine print.
  8. Thanks, I’ll look around. Interesting thing I noticed shopping for Dexron 3 on Amazon. Some of the brands just say Dex/Merc. Probably the latest spec but not sure. Might say in the fine print of the label what the number is.
  9. My 2005 HR Ambassador manual says to use Dexron 3 transmission fluid in the leveling jacks hydraulic system. They continually upgrade these fluids over the years and are now up to Dexron 6, 3 is no longer available. Am I correct in thinking any Dexron with a number 3 or higher is OK for the hydraulic system? Also, an RV mechanic told me Mercon 5 is acceptable. Is that true? Thanks
  10. What kind of problems? Ed ‘05 HR Ambassador TST TPMS Keep in mind my understanding that low pressure warning is more important than high. Ed ‘05 HR Ambassador TST TPMS
  11. The batteries might act much as an accumulator in a hydraulic system. They’d absorb pulses and surges or drops of pressure (voltage). I turned the shore power off and tried the slides. They didn’t move proving they are on the house and not chassis system. However, now that I have turned the shore power back on I get a fault light on the EMS panel. I believe this is preventing the heat pumps from coming on, or anything else AC. I really need heat tonight as it’s supposed to get down to possibly as low as 3°F. Any suggestions of how to clear the fault without reinstalling the house batteries? Ed
  12. My ‘05 HR Ambassador is stored in a building on my property. I have it hooked up to 50a shorepower but disconnected the lithium batteries. I guess the inverter/charger still powers the 12v house items because, without thinking about it, I ran a slide out. Is there any potential harm in doing this? Ed
  13. Great information. I was able to contact the company that is repairing my jack and they found it. (It was removed mid-December by my FORMER chassis service company. Funny thing is the rebuild company didn’t get it until last Friday!) If nothing else they will be able to give me any information printed on the jack. I’ll check my package of information that came with the coach, also. Ed
  14. One of mine has a leak. Shop sent it to out of town company for rebuild. Then shop owner went off the deep end when I wanted it back after 6 weeks. (I’ll leave out the details for legal reasons.) Our winter trip is in jeopardy. Now I have to deal with overhaul shop and since they probably have it under my FORMER shop’s name I anticipate problems getting it back without legal expenses. So need to find the source for legs. Hope to know more about retrieving my original Monday. Is there model or capacity information printed on the leg? I don’t want to crawl around under the rig looking for something that isn’t there.
  15. Does anyone know the brand/model of hydraulic leveling legs on a 2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40 PLQ? Is any information printed on them? I don’t have the build sheet. Also, any advice on a source for them? Ed
  16. Thanks a bunch. I’m going to start researching printers and all things associated. Ed
  17. How does that work? What goes in as the pattern for the printer?
  18. Do you need a 3D scanner and 3D printer?
  19. Is Jaimie correct? Do you do 3D printing? A lot of parts like this should be easy to 3D print. Ed
  20. If discontinued and parts aren’t available from manufacturer it’s the same situation as the unavailable endcaps for Carefree’s windshield shades. Perfect case for 3D printing.
  21. I need a replacement endcap so I need to know the make and model of my current toppers. I do not have a build sheet. Does the current manufacturer of HR supply build sheets for 2005 models?
  22. Does anyone know which brand and model the slide toppers on a 2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador might be? I realize they might have been stalled after purchase but I’ll accept a first guess. Ed
  23. I’d like to replace my lousy Weldex b/w system. Would prefer to use existing wires as I assume running new ones would very difficult. Is that a valid concern? Also, would like new one to be color and fit in same hole in dash. Ed ‘05 Ambassador
