  1. Also, if you are hooked up to shore water the pressure provided may be above the threshold to allow the pump to activate. Not sure what the minimum pressure is that activates the pump.
  2. My 06 Dynasty has a 15 amp fuse for the pump in the bedroom wardrobe. The reel motor is protected by a circuit breaker rocker switch in the water service bay. This is a multiplex coach.
  3. WorWorks for meπŸ’πŸ˜
  4. Hmm....I wonder if my power ATG shade can be used to project the picture.....that would make it do double duty!
  5. That is a great improvement. I need to follow your lead!
  6. Our 2006 Dynasty has 3 A/C's. Trying to figure out the air distribution for each unit I did a little experimenting on our last trip. It appears the coach has a central duct running the length of the coach (with the exception of the outlet in the toilet room). I found that running only the rear A/C will distribute air to the front vents especially if the rear and center vents are closed. This is also true when running the front unit, air will flow to the rear of the coach. Airflow is highest closest to the A/C unit being operated and selecting additional units adds volume to the duct thus increasing total airflow with the highest airflow nearest the units that are operating. This coach is new to us so we are still learning πŸ™ƒ Thank you for the great forum and great folks that are contributing every day! Dan
  7. We are at our home in Savannah Ga. Looks like I have a direct TV LG Slim line dish. Tried to get it to lock onto satilltes, went into search and peaking mode but didn't lock. Eventually Auto stowed. I didn't watch the whole sequence because I had to run out for a few minutes. Also may have too many obstacles like houses and trees if the satilltes are low arc . May try manual mode tomorrow. Thanks! Dan Pictures of the operation...
  8. Wow, thanks for all of the info folks. Never had satillte service before, need to look at the rig this evening. Dan
  9. Hi Scotty, I'm interested in the Dish VIP211K receiver for sale. My new to me 2006 dynasty came with winegard traveler satellite antenna and interface box. Looking at the Winegard manual, adding this receiver should be easily accomplished by connecting the coax from the antenna to the receiver and an HDMI to my TV and get the proper subscription service. I powered up the winegard interface box and the antenna appears to search for the satellites. Any idea on if this should work with my current setup and the cost to ship to Savannah GA? Thanks, Dan
  10. Really great info! We just bought our 1st motorhome, a 2006 Dynasty in December....no discs were in our documents so this really helps with the history!
  11. I do not have hydraulic Jack's.
  12. Great idea for the temp repair using hot glue gun... genius!
  13. I labeled all wires an connection points, removed, cleaned batteries, unbolted the 3 trays, scraped off all loose paint, treated bare metal with por 15 metal prep and painted with por 15 black gloss black rust treatment paint. All of the above electrical precautions and Also covered solar panel to prevent stray charging voltages. Good project!
  14. Very nice addition πŸ‘! I still need to check / repair my aux compressor on the aft wheel well....not sure they located it there πŸ˜‚
  15. Just did my door lock actuators and lubed the locks last month. The ones from Amazon seem to be working fine. Only issue is my keypad "9"digit is no longer functioning ....guess a new keypad is in my future. I noticed the seal for the latches were missing on some of the doors... anyone know a source for them?
  16. Great write up on the potential issues when buying a "nice" coach. Nothing major for sure, just those minor issues that can make things uncomfortable. As a newbie, I found that problem solving is the name of the game. I've been studying the owner's manual, and retrieving all related systems manuals offline since we got ours in December. As to hiring an inspector, I've heard that it is difficult to find one that will know all the systems. I went through our coach with the previous owner and asked that all major systems operation was demonstrated. He also insisted on a thorough test drive of about 60 miles for familiarization and confidence. Still missed some things like standby electric compressor. I'm sure you'll get it sorted quickly, the Dynasty is an amazing right, may you have many happy miles!
  17. Yes Sir, hope it helps.Learning as I go. The previous owner gave me a heads up on the circuit protection. He was really good at explaining things as we launched into our new adventures.
  18. That's the circuit protection for your power hose reel. The switch on the false wall with the other switches retracts the hose when pressed. The switch pictured is a double action circuit breaker that will trip if too much current is detected during retraction. The small switch marked 4 amp will have a white band exposed when tripped. The hose reel will not retract. I think the small switch needs pressed then the larger one to reset the circuit. Then the hose retract switch on the front switch panel should retract the hose. I usually open the panel so I can guide the hose on to the reel so it doesn't tangle causing binding , tripping the circuit.
  19. Been doing a lot of reading on Surge protection and Electrical Management Systems for protection of the coach electrical system. From reading the manual my 2006 Dynasty is equipped with a Surge Guard /RV Power Monitor/ Automatic Transfer switch model 40250, 120 / 240, 50 A 60 hz. In addition to priority switching between generator and shore power this unit also accomplishes the following protective functions: -A multi-mode surge protection eliminates the potential for power surges to enter the motorhome through power cables during electrical storms. -If the incoming voltage from the generator or shore power exceeds 132 Volts AC, or if voltage drops below 102 Volts AC, the transfer switch automatically disconnects the electrical service. -The transfer switch monitors for faulty wiring from shore power and protects from reverse polarity and the dangers of an open neutral condition. So my question is do I need a portable or hard wired Surge Protector or Surge protector /EMS to properly protect my electrical system? I definitely need to do the best thing to maintain the rig so looking for experienced opinions. Thanks, Dan.
  20. Our drive was from Colorado Springs to Savannah and things went mostly as planned. 1st 2 days were only a couple hundred miles and we stayed at a friends place in DFW for a day. He made arrangements for us to park the rig on a dead end street in his plan. On departure from DFW we knocked out over 600 miles getting all the way to Alabama. That was a log day! Well, safe travels to y'all!
  21. Yes Sir, I plan on covering it with a large ziploc and securing it with zip ties. Definitely do not any FOD or water to enter the intake. How's your trip progressing?
  22. Thanks Richard, most appreciated! I'll do a quick wash this week. I think I'll remove the air filter for better access and cover the rear run box to prevent water intrusion. I'd hate to fry anything back there and it does not appear to be water tight.
  23. I think Richard is correct, the genset starts with the chassis batteries. I have experienced the generator cranking too slow to start but the engine does start with low batteries (12.1 volts on Aladdin IIRC). Only thing I can think of is cable run from the batteries to the genset is much longer therefore more resistance to the genset starter and it doesn't start when battery charge is marginal. Battery boost is your friend in this case. I think Richard is correct, the genset starts with the chassis batteries.
