  1. Bob ,no I didn’t purge air , figured after 5000 mi. 2years and no change in coolant level it wasn’t air locked.but ? Pat and Ken ,we do all our work except computers,above my pay grade .Wife still greases MH while I change oil and filter. I just bought the green coolant from Fleetpride . Pat ,I saw your post about green being wrong for your 07, ours being 08 isl400 had me wondering. 08 camelot isl 400 tag
  2. Gweedo and others , changed coolant couple years ago, told Fleetpride what we had ( isl 400 Cummins ) Since then it runs about 10 degrees hotter,the new coolant is green . Radiator clean on outside, who knows about inside.Changing thermostat now just in case.   5. I’m beginning to think there’s not a nut ,bolt or fitting Ivan hasn’t had a wrench on.
  6. Be wary when salvaging pex fittings, the smallest nick on the barb’s will drip. Tommy 08 camelot
  7. Update on chasing oil leaks, curb side rear engine. Injector pump gear box ? Mounted with 2 studs and nuts , hyd.pump married to gear box. Bottom stud on block seaping oil on outside of nut around threads . Silicone spread on nut and stud with red paint on them . Cleaned , tightened nut (very little) appears to quit dripping. Time well tell . Pretty sure this one was blowing back on toad. 2nd leak , oil return line from gear box to crankcase. 90 degree elbow screwed into block seeping. Ivan K gets credit for this one, while checking my dip stick tube I found the elbow above and behind the tube . Appears to been drifting back to bell housing and dripping off bung hole, giving the appearance of rear main. I sure hope not ! Have to pull hyd. Pump to get to this one. 08 camelot isl 400

  10. Happycarz Harry , we do have the isl red with Doc and DPF . Engine serial number 46741969. Somewhere I got the idea it’s a 400 ? A few thousand mi. back replaced leaky valve gasket, put on home made slobber tube bottle,new crankcase filter, maybe 4 drops in slobber bottle today. Intermittent warning light, maybe 100 mi.into trip ,maybe 30. First code reader says excessive crankcase pressure,find nothing wrong. Few weeks later 2nd tech reads excessive crankcase pressure, but shows slight vacuum at idle, very little pressure at higher rpm. 3rd tech does update, reads history, all good except crankcase pressure code. He thinks weak, bad sensor. All venting components were clear and original filter passed air easily. Will check all venting again and replace sensor. Raining now, will look for leaks with engine running later. Bill no such luck on oil pan plug ,all dry. Ivan, can only hope mines as simple as yours, will borrow wife’s fishing camera just to try and see it..
  11. Have a small drip while traveling. Not enough to show on dip stick between oil changes. Leaves multiple spots on passenger side of toad. Have oily residue from behind timing cover to bell housing,passenger side. About 3” above oil pan to 3”below. Small oil return line, dip stick tube and rear main look suspicious. Cleaning area 2nd time today, will run at high idle in hopes of seeing were drip is. Not looking forward to changing rear main seal and having it done would be whole years allowance. Already drinking cheap whiskey and no sugar in my coffee. Any moral support appreciated. Tommy 08 camelot isl 400 side rad.
  12. Lost a rad cap ( never fit right) temp started climbing. Stopped, what a mess. Filled with water,made it home. Flushed, new coolant, 16 lb. cap ,but it runs a little warmer ever since, engine 202, Tran . 205. Normal load ,maybe new thermostat will help? Cleaned cooling stack as best as possible, without pulling condenser, hyd cooler and CAC to get to Rad. Summer heat coming, appreciate any adult supervision, 08 camelot isl 400 side radiator
  13. 08 Camelot ISL 400 side radiator, thinking about trying to add vents to exterior engine hatch to let some heat out. Rear bath and closet gets really warm. Not bad in winter, preheated toilet seat and shower. Summer’s a little different. Anyone have a DIY suggestion or pictures of your modifications Thanks , Tommy & Cheri , Eufaula Ok.
  14. Our 08 Camelot is Valid air leveling only , pulled the ribbon connector,sprayed with electrical cleaner. All good again. Might fix yours.
  15. Do OK, dash air rebuild was successful,flush system,new compressor,filter dryer ,belt ,vac. Freon . One short trip,all good.Good day to clean radiator,CAC,hyd cooler,ac condenser. Well great ,ac condenser has oily spot running down it with a puddle on bottom bracket. Found what appears to be a match at Radiator supply house #740967 700.00$ plus shipping. About 2x the price of our truck condensers. Anyone have suggestions, didn’t find anything in Vendors section. Tommy 08 Camelot 400 Isl tag .
  16. Frank Mc. tech did ecm. Update from 26 to52 . That being the latest update according to his Insight WiFi connection.He seamed very knowledgeable about what he was doing, but he or his equipment was unable to give EIF. PDF. To us.We spent 2hr on engine history,codes,hours,# of regeneration,idling time &one force Regin.plus a lot of questions and answers . I think we got our money’s worth 200.00. Tech mentioned hp uprate ,offered to do it if he had whatever it took ( knowledge,program etc.)not the guru Frank is ,but is 1/2 our age . PS regin showed successful. Tommy 08 camelot Isl 400 DOC.   17. I had the same burnt through gasket. We bought the 08 camelot isl400 with 32000 mi . Had my head stuck in the closet engine access had wife start engine, puff of smoke ,that ain’t right. Two bolts loose on turbo. Wife and I replaced gasket,all good. I too had no noticeable loss of boost pressure while it was leaking
  18. To Frank Mc. Jan. 11 Post . Having MH. Reflash tomorrow, tech offered to do it here since they have a lake home close to us . A win for us ,150 mi to his shop. Question, I’ve read were original programs were lost ,is this something to worry about with reflash. Also will he need to bring anything extra to do a PDF or EIF .   20. Thanks Tom ,sometimes we forget these components are attached to a rolling vibrator . After all there sitting still when working on them. The surge guard has been in service about 10 years, out of sight,out of mind. I need to check it. I use a crescent on my screwdriver for the last twist if the wrist gives up. Plugged 02 Windsor into friends house at Red River several years before Camelot and new surge guard, Progressive wouldn’t let electricity in (reversed polarity)interior remote thru the code, its a nice extra.   21. Not having any problems with the transfer switch,but its the Iota. South wire is 170.00 ,Furrion 200.00 ,Esco 300.00 . We have a Progressive surge hard wired with a little monitor in the MH. A lot of post about transfer switches, haven’t seen any on Furrion. If I hadn’t read post about the Iota and someone asked about it,I’d would say 15 years old,zero noise ( except for transfer clunk) no problems. Now I’m gun shy. Any thoughts on the Furrion .Or ?..??.
  22. Ben, voyager, joystick just says Alladin. Reread manual,I’m not going to dazzle anybody. Just wanted to change from camera to engine while moving,Cheri just tried it,works ok parked . Can’t change going down the road. Maybe it’s like the TV,ha. We’ve done without it for 10 years, no thing. I’m sure it’s pilot error, you guys are way ahead of me on these MH systems .   23. OK , I’m computer illiterate and I know it , my DW not so much . Question I use the alladin screen for rear camera 99%. Would be nice to see engine temps occasionally. She can make it do a lot sitting still ,but can’t change anything when on the road. If someone could school me or tell what page in the book to look at, I could dazzle her with brilliance on how to change screens while moving. Or maybe just baffle her we bullsheet. 08 Camelot Alladin Jr I think
  24. Tom C . Our slide motor is considered a Lippert ,made by Parker.(front hyd. Slides) Manual says to operate manually insert 1/4 drive end of shaft open or close valve, spin motor opposite direction. First ours doesn’t have a place for 1/4 drive . Just a 1/2 nut . Second, it doesn’t sound right to turn the pump backwards. This is a one way pump,clockwise. Since you’re pump use to be like ours you might remember if the manual is correct.
