  1. Hi Tom, Thanks for the feedback. I'm 80 years of age. Still working 10 hours per day in the music biz as a composer/producer and read all that I can. Maybe I didn't read all of the instructions when I joined what I thought was a lighthearted group dealing with RV issues. I'm not of the corporate nor military mindset and did not realise I was to write a report. I do thank people when they helped. Might I add a request of the good Monacoers folk. I am not a mechanic and most of the acronyms used mean nothing... spell it out please. So I apologize if I am unable to comply fully, but if I am such a terror then perhaps you should remove me.. Yes the manual does have a House Electrical section, yes I had read it, as far as I can see in the picture as per operating today shedding is not a concern. The picture in the manual is not quite the same as that which is on the wall. The picture on the wall shows running with both a/c units engaged [one providing fan only but attempts to engage] A friend may have the answer with regard to capacitors and as mentioned on a forum, easy starts. When I get time I'll investigate. Thanks again Les
  2. on my old Southwind shedding was shown but I do not see anywhere where shedding is indicated on a panel in the Cheetah ?? Thanks for the help
  3. Hope I haven't missed something in all the posts. Bought my 2004 Cheetah a few weeks back. A/c in bedroom is ok. A/c in living area did 'appear' to work [heard a 'tinkle'].............. now the fan runs ok, I hear what I presume is the unit trying to kick in [a grumble on the roof] but it doesn't quite make it............ easy fix or new unit? Les
  4. I plan on using air filters velcroed inside the rear doors when I go down our dusty road.......... I do realise some of the dust could be forced into the 'coach side' of the rads. However, the engine/trans/cables/wires gets covered in oil mist seconded by dust. I have tried to blow it off from the bedroom access panels but wonder, what damage can I do to the Engine etc if I use compressed air? L
  5. Hi All Seems there are so many variables and I am way out of my depth here........ I'll have to find a shop who can tell me what I have. Thank you all kindly for all the help. Les
  6. Hi Folks, I will check the 'ride' secction, but will that give me the measurements for when the bags are down? I have air suspension and 'manual' [hydraulic] jacks. I'm just terrified of not being 'down' and stretching airbags when I raise up via jacks. L
  7. I have read so many answers on this site re air bags........ the scary one is air pressure shows zero and bags could still be inflated. I'm new to airbags and understand mechanics etc but this air bag issue doesn't connect dots [easily].......... please see the picture in this post front and back?? I can't see anything in the manual, is there a dimension anywhere eg; top of wheel arch to ground which proves the bags are deflated 2004 Cheetah? 🤢
  8. Thank you............. I'll check something and get back to you Les
  9. I have a sim situation 2004 Cheetah......... as per manual pump brake until down to 60psi [some say don't do it] switch dump and nothing happens. Previous owner said he used to jam a credit card under the switch ???
  10. Folks, 2004 Cheetah I let the air out of the system as per the manual, brake until down to 60psi then use dump. I have even undone the 'valves' at the back....... zero air in system [as far as I can tell]. rear end stays up...... why is that, fix please? L
  11. thank you all. a few tests this week ;-( L
  12. I am a musician/audio producer.. bought my 2004 Cheetah a few weeks ago it came with a Bose sound. bar. It adds a bit of low end but that's it............ I wouidn't buy one.
  13. Thanks. SadlyI live in a desert mountain community where most do not 'live' on their property so wont even follow Fire Dept codes never mind wet the roads ;-)). I think I'll try attaching something outside and see how that works.
  14. Hi Adam, I learn I have the basic coach [Cheetah]....... no auto level. There is a bubble by the jacking controls....... it's almost right.
  15. Thanks folks...... roads 1 mile long 😉
  16. Hopefully this is the correct part of the discussion list[s]. I did mention once before I live up a sandy road [ 1 mile], by the time I get back to base, rear of the coach and especially rads [2004 Cheetah] are covered in sand. I have to move along the road, up a reasonable incline to 5000' at about 5 mph. How to stop sand entering via the slots in the doors at the back.? Don't laugh.................... curtains? Or something. On the inside of the doors, drag them across the vents and then 'park' them when traveling? Or just 'stick' something on the outside. Would the engine overheat in a mile? We do have 100F temps in summer. Possible I suppose. Anyone else had/solved this problem......... one spirited member suggested I move.......... sure 🤣
  17. Hello Richard The only thing I see on the blinds is 'slow-rise'. Yes the front blinds are electric but the sides are manual. It looks as if the [day] blind simply unrolled itself and now I can't trigger it to rewind nor can I push it up manually. The night blind is ok but weak. If the 'surround' has to be taken off to get top the biind[s] I don't see ow to undo the upper screws. Who i Hi Bill, Thanks for the info Called the company they were very helpful L
  18. Hello Richard The only thing I see on the blinds is 'slow-rise'. Yes the front blinds are electric but the sides are manual. It looks as if the [day] blind simply unrolled itself and now I can't trigger it to rewind nor can I push it up manually. A swift 'tug' does nothing. The night blind is ok but [spring] is weak. If the 'surround' has to be taken off to get to the biind[s] I don't see how to undo the upper screws. Thanks Les
  19. Hope I'm in the correct place for this Q My new to me Cheetah 2004 has SLOW-RISE day/night blinds 1. the one's in the fron go all across the front........ drivers side is the day switch, passenger is night blind. Day works ok....... night is intermittent but mostly just hear a click from a motor or? 2. the side/manual blinds seem 'weak' one in particular will not pull up the day blind...... it rolled all the way out and is stuck Tried calling the company.. ;-(
  20. I'm sure to be doing something wrong but did not see anything which covered what I require input for......... apologies if I am breaking protocol I have a new to me 2004 Cheetah. At my house I can park on 'nearly' level ground. I put blocks under the jacks, let all the air out of the system, then try to level the coach.........seems kinda ok but one rear wheel is off the ground. Am I doing damage to the airbag? Is it ok to raise the coach way up and add blocks under the tire[s] then let jacks down? Wha is the correct procedure... read the manual... not too clear especially re when to to do what ref putting out the slides. Apologies again if I have broken the rules
  21. MODERATOR'S NOTE and EDIT Forum rules, for simplicity, is NOT to start another topic that is related to or exactly the same as an ONGOING or RECENT Topic. This causes members to repeat previous posts and the solution is harder for a member to chase down. The new topic has been merged with the one that is ongoing. Thanks for understanding. I have read many of the posts re a/c on eg; 2004 Cheetah........ must be honest some of the acronyms confuse me ;-))......... in my old Fleetwood one would run the a/c unit on fan for a few minutes then kick in the a/c. Reading the Cheetah manual this doesn't appear to be the case. Would it help to run the fan first? Also 'zones' in the controller tend to flicker in the read out. Can't just get 1 or 2 ? Thanks for any help Les
  22. Thanks for the help everyone/Tom......... It's a 'new' coach to me and I'm finding many things which don't quite work, but still like it.... the weather might be warm enough today to see if The a/c works ;-))
  23. I am going to appear a complete dunce..... how do you remove the panel which controls a/c etc functions? It looks like someone added silicon at some point.......... does one just squeeze the side or something? L
  24. Thanks, but why are the headlights working and the indicator lights?
