Bruce Hull
I'm having trouble With the top pin in the door jam. Going after the rattles and fond the top pin was not Laching so i adjust it, then closing the door 2 or 3 times the pin moves so i put it back and get it as tight as i can, work the door and it moves again?? What I'm i doing wrong?? Or what trick do i need to do? Tks Bruce 2003 Monaco Windsor 38PDQ
cbr046
Is the pin screw loose again? If so try some BLUE loctite. This may or may not be enough but what I would try first. Red loctite is much stronger but requires a torch to break free if it ever needs to be removed. - bob

Maybe Monaco_Door_Adjust.PDF? There are TWO types of Trimark doors. You have to first identify whether yours has the bronze bushing or not. Odds are, based on the age, it does. If the bushing is worn, then it must be replaced….and then, you adjust it. There was, I believe, a detailed print and PN for easily fabricating a replacement. I called Trimark and the tech told me that you could not identify the different assemblies without taking the lock or latch assembly apart. I had read that, odds were, mine was the newer design and did not have the bushing. I had it adjusted. It did not have the bushing. The most common issue is the latch assembly moves or “wears in” and the handle will not release and you can’t get out or in and you have to disassemble it from the inside. Several YouTube videos. Lots of info on “Trimark RV door adjustment”
MyronTruex
Here are a bunch of files on doors. There are a couple that shows how to adjust and repair. I'm not exactly clear on how your door is built, but if you are talking about the large bolts that stick out from the frame that the latches connect to then mine are designed to move up and down a bit. 7-8-2011 1-01-00 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-01-28 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-02-37 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-03-12 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-03-33 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-03-53 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-04-17 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-04-43 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-05-35 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-06-13 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-07-00 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-07-55 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-10-55 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-11-42 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-12-04 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-12-31 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-13-08 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-14-15 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-14-56 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-15-19 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-16-00 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-16-18 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-16-40 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-17-04 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-17-38 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 12-59-47 PM.pdf Bay door breakdown.pdf Bay door components.pdf Bay door latches and handles.pdf Bay door seals.pdf Bay Liners.pdf Cargo tray slideout.pdf Doors and vent covers.pdf Engine access doors and hardware.pdf 7-8-2011 1-05-35 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-06-13 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-07-00 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-07-55 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-10-55 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-11-42 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-13-08 PM.pdf 7-8-2011 1-14-15 PM.pdf Door Bushing Replacement & Latch Adjustment.pdf Entry door adjustment.pdf Entry door grab handle.pdf Entry door locked out pdf.pdf Youtube video on replacing latch.docx Entry door seals.pdf Entry door threshold.pdf Entry door trim.pdf Entry door with electric lock.pdf Entry screen door handle.pdf Entry screen door.pdf Keyless Entry.pdf Entry door adjustment.pdf desktop.ini Door adjustment web page.docx Entry Door Strut.pdf Gas Strut replaces swing arm.pdf Gas Strut Specifications.pdf Monaco_door_gas_strut_upgrade.pdf Parts list from Monaco users.pdf Generator door hardware.pdf Generator door.pdf Hatches and deck hatches.pdf Keyless Entry Consumer, discrete, e-Grab w_wo DB_22271-02_2010-04_Rev_4.pdf Keyless Entry Install, Discrete, e-Grab, stnd, w_wo DB_22271-03_2010-04_Rev_3.pdf Keyless Entry Install, Discrete, e-PAD_only_21067-01_2010-11-Rev_3.pdf Keyless entry picture from IRV2.com.pdf Keyless Entry Tri Mark.pdf Keyless Entry.pdf keyless_entry_diagram.pdf Keypad Entry.pdf Keyless Entry.pdf Entry Door Strut.pdf Gas Strut replaces swing arm.pdf Monaco Parts store swing arm assembly.url Monaco Parts store swingarm assembly (VEURINKS) if link does not work.url Monaco_door_gas_strut_upgrade.pdf Swing Arm and more.pdf Swing arm.pdf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6-SFexjNuU This is a video link buried in one of the files. I have chased rattles for years and mostly solved them. Using the round sticky back felt pads in various places has solved most of the issues. Latching the deadbolt while traveling helps as well. I'm envious of those that have some sort of inflatable seal.

Seems most of the advise given is for the door itself..... I believe the "pins" that the door latches to on in the frame are actually designed to "float". Tks Bruce 2003 Monaco Windsor 38PDQ The top pin is designed to move so that if the latch gets slightly out of adjustment, the latch will engage.
