Les Hurdle
I'm no doubt in the wrong place, sorry. Also didn't see any headings as per this Q. 2004 Cheetah. I see the cable in the rear bay for the sump heater........ looked in the manual and did not find out where the switch is to switch it on. Where is it please? Trinidaddave
On my 05 Safari Gazelle the switch must be on, since I just plug it in when I want to use it while connected to shore power or generator.
96 EVO
That's not an oil heater. That warms up the engine coolant!
Trinidaddave
Correct, mine is the block heater, I must have missed the part about oil heater which I do no have.
Happycarz
Les, having a switch depends on how high up on the food chain your coach is. The high end coaches have switches to turn on the block heater. On my coach I open the rear engine hatch and plug the dangling cord into the block heater 110v outlet.
Les Hurdle
Hi Harry. I believe I have the basic coach ;-)). When I bought it I read somewhere about a 'heater' can't find the print anywhere......... yes I have a dangling cord, will plug in today to see if it works.

I think it requires shore power or generator. I keep saying we will stay somewhere cold enough to test it, but so far it's just theory. Les Hurdle
OK I admit to ignorance. how does Aqua-hot heat the engine? L
96 EVO
It has a pump that circulates engine coolant through the Aqua Hot boiler tank, then returns it to the engine.
dl_racing427
My 1993 Dynasty has the outlet in the engine bay. I added a switch in the lower left cabinet by the bed, which was pretty simple to do.
Happycarz
Less, your coach doesn’t have AquaHot. Some coaches didn’t have that option available. Others could order their coach with AquaHot in place of the furnace(s). And on the higher end coaches AquaHot came as standard equipment. I ordered my coach with two furnaces, although AquaHot was an option for me. I’m not sure if AquaHot was an option in 2004 for your Cheetah. It was offered in 2005. The AquaHot also serves as an engine heater besides heating the interior. Coaches without it had an 110v electric element in the engine water jacket. Solution Happycarz Posted December 1, 2023 Solution Share Posted December 1, 2023 After thinking about that, it makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
Les Hurdle
Thanks all. If it is working seems I have the electric core heater...........
