  1. @Scotty Hutto @ok-rver, I do not know if my setup would help. I replaced my Aladdin Jr Weldex monitor w a new Weldex several years ago. It too is surface mounted. I use the Aladdin joystick to cycle through it and I have 2 buttons to pan the rear camera.
  2. @1nolaguymy leak was actually a pinhole in the top of the slide in a low spot that collected water. I cleaned it well and applied eternabond over it too.
  3. I redid a the tape on my bedroom slide w Eternabond. It is a headache to remove all the old and looking back, it may not have been necessary, but I was chasing down a leak. I like the fact I have new eternabond tape down. That was 2 years ago and no issues since.
  4. I'm late to the party here. Did you get your problem resolved? Mine did this and I had the same issue w that blue wire. I jumped the blue wire to the chassis source in that bay. BUT, I also had a bad battery. I don't know which was truly the problem, but new batteries, new relay and jumped the blue wire and it all works fine. I forgot to mention earlier I did replace the relay as mine was bad too. But that didn't immediately fix the issue. Maybe check your house batteries closely too. Steven
  5. A picture of your setup may help. You might check w some of the RV salvage yards. I included a pic of my tray after painting.
  6. I ordered 2 new heat pumps from PPL last Wed and they arrived today. My question is, how did you get them on the roof for the install? 120lbs each and me w no lift. I've read about tying ropes and sliding up a ladder. Other options? Thanks
  7. Nick, I like your plan too. One thing to consider here w all you're having to do is your case does make a strong argument for a second (PSW) inverter as others have done for their fridges. Then you'd have no worries about it. Just a thought.
  8. @jacwjames I ordered 2 Wed from PPL also and am calling the freight company today. I guess I should've asked a couple more questions about the gaskets. I assumed they came w the new heat pumps? From your post,, I guess they don't? I replaced one of mine w one from Steele Rubber before and liked the quality of it. How are the Amazon ones?
  9. @saflyerold style outlets from me just meant the single receptacle that came in the coach. They just look old (to me) and when I looked for a replacement, I could only find em on Ebay making me think they were not made anymore,, therefore old style. Sorry if I termed them wrong.
  10. @bgfleckthese look good, but they start from a HDMI port on the output side. I could probably set up a splitter to make it happen, but am not sure. Thank you. Good website BTW.
  11. Like others above, I have 2 receptacles behind the fridge and one is powered by the inverter. If my GFCI in the bathroom trips, the fridge and some other outlets stop working, but my microwave still works. Nick, if you have the old style outlets (see pic), you may want to change them out w a new one. My GE fridge has been working fine for over a year on my MSW inverter.
  12. @biloxi_dadwho did your work? If I remember right, you were looking around the MS, AL gulf coast? Would you recommend them? Thanks.
  13. Jim, I guess that's both good and bad. Good that you found the holes but bad bc if you're like me, it'll drive you crazy til you fix those holes. I wouldn't know where to begin in lowering the ceiling to get access. Keep us posted though.
  14. A lot of good stuff since we drove back home. I'll try to chime in where needed. Some of the questions that came up were very well answered. We got rid of Directtv and went w Dish bc Dish is more camping friendly. The HD pics are great on a HDMI cable. @Barry Wthat is a great idea, but they do not work w the Tailgater nor Wally. If we ever upgrade to the in motion satellite for like $1500, we could likely use that. Coax from Dish to receiver, then HDMI straight to TV gives best pic. The Wally also has RCA outputs and those go to my AV selector box and leave on the original coax and go to TV locations but the pic quality is poor unlike the HDMI TV. @waterskier_1I'd be interested to know how you ran the HDMI thru the AC ducts. I have the small 3 -4" round AC registers in the ceiling and am not familiar w the insides of them. What I want to be able to do is split the signal from the Wally and watch the same show on any of 3 TVs. The main one, the one the PO put on the wall by the dining table and the outside TV. Thinking tailgating and when outside hanging out. It gives more options this way and less neck strain looking at the main TV. Thank you all! I'm thinking wired would be the best, just gonna be a challenge running those wires.
  15. @Wrayj1 we have the tailgater w 2 outputs and 2 receivers. Ran a second coax cable on the rooftop and drilled thru the roof and placed the second box in the bedroom. Currently I still have the original AV selector box and that sends signals around the coach. My Dish Wallys are HDMI wired straight to the TVs and I used the RCA output from the Wally to go to the AV selector allowing the Wally signal to go to any TV, but it's thru the coax cables and the oic is not as good. That is currently how we watch TV outside.
  16. If you find your shore power is acting up, it could be that 50a being off. I thought it would make sense to turn off my washer/dryer breaker since I don't have one and found out it messes up the whole intellitec system that way. May check w a local lighting/hardware store for the breaker.
  17. The microair also connects via Bluetooth if u don't have wifi. However, my phone needs to be fairly close to work.
  18. Hey all, our PO installed a second TV in the living room that uses the Coaxial cable from the outdoor hookup via a splitter. We watch DISH on the front TV using a HDMI cable and I'd like to use the other TV the same. However, running a 25 to 50ft HDMI cable does not seem like an easy fix. I've seen wireless HDMi options for about $180. Anyone have any experience w these? I'd like to use it for the outdoor TV too. If they work well, it seems like an easy option for avoiding running a new HDMI cable. Thanks.
  19. My 06 Diplomat has 2 speakers in the bedroom that are factory wired to the main dash radio. Make sure your dash radio is set to center and not front. I added a small soundbar to my bedroom TV. Make sure those RCA are hooked to output if looki g for speakers. If hooked to input, then probably a DVD or vcr, etc...
  20. I have the same setup. I've struggled w a short in my cable that comes from the camera. If you have a small TV, try hooking the RCA video to the TV at the first split from the camera feed. Clean the connectors as mentioned above. Rvcams.com owner Tim Lazaroe is very helpful. I never liked my camera picture and ordered a plug and play replacement from them and the quality and pic is awesome.
  21. From my manual: I know high speed idle is not the same as no load, but this is what my manual says. I'm pretty sure I remember someone who has done this way longer than I have saying he doesn't high idle until his Temps are up. Another sentence says to use the high idle.
  22. Microair has been outstanding in email replies to me when I've had questions about mine. I am looking at replacing both my old Dometics w new ones soon. One caution, the PO put a 15k in the bedroom and due to the small room size, it does run in short cycles a lot which keeps it cool, but doesn't lower the humidity much. That may not be a big issue where you are, but our humidity is about 175% 🤪 on a normal day. When I replace that one, I'll likely drop back to a 13.5k which is what originally came on the MH.
  23. Steve, if memory serves me right, I believe my Cummins manual says to not raise the RPMs from idle until the engine temps have risen close to normal for operating.
  24. Thank you, but it all works properly now after the changes above.
