  1. Our 2003 Camelot has pneumatic gauges. I would purge the lines and have the air dryer serviced.
  2. I also opened the side panels on the rear (3 screws and brackets at the bottom). That helped a bunch for access. I also used a nut splitter on the upper nut (mine were top stud mounts). I just tightened the nut splitter enough to slightly deform the nut. They were easy to remove at that point.
  3. Carey, I used a 6 point socket on mine. Came out fairly easy as I remember. I also used a non-hardening thread sealant the first time and it was real easy the next time. Bob
  4. I’ve had the same problem and the “33” fault code twice since owning the coach. First time I changed the thermostat and the belt. Still faulted with 33. Replaced the sending unit and problem solved. Last year got the problem again, changed the sending unit in a rest area and no more problems. I carry a spare as many have advised. Mine is on a slide, so it is easily accessible.
  5. Been in Bucees many times. Never had a problem, but as others have said you need to not be in a rush.
  6. As OhReally wrote, check around the banjo fittings and there may be a plug fitting opposite of the return line. Make sure that's not leaking. The lift pump side is isolated from the return side on my original lift pump (took the old one apart after it was replaced once) and there wasn't a way for the fuel to crossover.
  7. David, Congratulations! I've seen and read a number of threads on this issue and as a retired electronics engineer had often felt that it could be solved. I'll watch for the solution to be posted as I think it will be great reading! Again, congratulations.
  8. As we're planning for the 2023 Ramblin Pushers Maintenance Session the Firefly System has been suggested as a topic. Reply to this message if you have the Firefly system, plan the attend MS2023 and if you'd be interested in a seminar on it. If there is enough interest, we'll try to get a session or 2 scheduled as part of the MS. Thanks all. Bob
  9. I know several have said it but, get a high quality professional Racheting Crimpers and use commercial crimp connectors! I have a crimper that wasn't cheap years ago and it has never failed me.
  10. I would not just replace a grade 5 bolt with a grade 8! The manufacturer used hardware that fits the engineers specifications. Using a grade 8 in place of a grade 5 will cause wear and damage on other components. The bolts are most likely designed to wear rather than the other more expensive parts of the towbar. I've rebuilt my towbar 3 times over the years. As soon as I see bolts wearing, the correct parts are ordered from the factory and installed. A large part of my working career was in the engineering/maintenance field and I did see the damage that was caused by not using the proper hardware.
  11. Same thing happened several times. I just pick up some aluminum flat stock, cut it to length, drill the holes, and screw it back in with stainless screws.
  12. On a previous Class C we had, I ran into the same problem. Those stab connections are garbage! I use old work boxes and commercial grade 20 amp receptacles to replace them. At least in the current coach there was room to do things right. The "C" was real challenge.
  13. We have had the ATT Mobley for 4+ years now. I did move the SIM card into a unlocked Netgear Nighthawk M1 4G LTE Mobile Router (lots of instructions on how to do it out there). We can connect multiple devices to it and it doesn't time out like the Mobley did. Also have a Wilson weBoost Drive 4G-X Cell Phone Booster. We can get very good service in a remote area we travel to that we'll have weak cell coverage in.
  14. Yes, it can send alerts via wifi. One important note, it sends the temperature it is at. In our Camelot its in the small cabinet above the door and reads the temperature up near the ceiling. I'm going to relocate it when I have a little free time.
  15. I never used the LED tube replacements for the fluorescents since they were not available 5 years ago when I converted ours. I used the self adhesive Cool White/Daylight LED strips which are wired directly to 12v. All the ballast's were removed and then the LED strips were installed. We love the additional light from the LED's over the the old fluorescent lamps. Haven't had a LED fail yet.
