  1. Oh boy. Double keyed deadbolt doesn’t sound like a sound plan. If you have that much trouble/concern with break-ins maybe a different choice of places to stay is in order.
  2. Nice work Mike are your cabinets Cherry? If so what did you get for a finish that matches? Thanks, Steve
  3. So just so I’m clear on your thought. Disconnecting a Carbon Monoxide detector is something that shouldn’t be done but doing the same to a Propane detector is ok and recommended by you? Doesn’t make a bit of sense to me. They don’t install them for decoration. They are “required”. Please don’t continue to put yourself and your family at risk and reconnect this device ASAP and certainly don’t recommend that others disconnect theirs. thank you.
  4. Wow. “A carbon monoxide detector is important but I haven’t had mine hooked up in years”. I think you are making a big mistake. Please hook it back up. If it’s location is a problem then install it elsewhere but don’t go without.
  5. Thanks very much Tom. Great info and detail!
  6. Put a digital voltmeter across the two wires. If you get a positive volt reading the red lead is on the voltage feed. If you get a negative reading your black lead is on the voltage feed.
  7. Regarding the need for a new battery tray, I don’t know where you could find one but I think I would locate a local metal fabrication shop and have them make one out of stainless. Will cost more but you won’t have to worry about it again
  8. Mine was boiling at the 90% rating that the previous owner had it set at. A fellow Monaco techie recommended 80%. Went to that rate and all is well.
  9. My coach came with the 8 house batteries with 4 of them being in the rear compartment. The reason that the second set of 4 are in the rear compartment is because they were an option. When not ordered this allowed this rear compartment to be used for storage. The extra 4 batteries were provided when a residential fridge was chosen as an option. From my experience with my setup is that they last a lot longer than 4 years if maintained and charged properly. Regarding the longevity of the steel trays I coated mine with 2 coats of POR-15 and this has made them stay like new for years. A key to this is also setting the charge rates properly. When I got the coach the settings were too high and it boiled the batteries when charging. With the correct settings this is eliminated
  10. Be aware that Monaco used white wire for both power and ground in many cases. Also, if the lights are mounted under a cabinet you will find a false bottom on the inside of the cabinet and if you remove it you will get a better view and access to the wires. good luck.
  11. Great folks here. I joined in December when the site transferred off of Yahoo. Didn’t visit much prior to that because I found the Yahoo site too difficult for me to work with. The folks did a terrific job migrating over to here and I enjoy participating. Glad you made it over also.
  12. Mine was under the cabinets a few inches also. I left tile in my bath. Be aware that removing the tile is VERY difficult and not for the faint hearted. Very dirty, dusty and physical job. I tried a few methods and finally did it by beating the old tile to death. Every square inch had to be hammered and then some light scrapping and chiseling to remove the remainder. The adhesive they used is amazing stuff and doesn’t give up the fight easily. When I tried different chiseling methods too much damage was occurring to the underlaymemt. Hammering softens the glue and kind of releases it from the underlayment. Getting the pieces out from under the cabinets is another challenge. Tedious and time consuming. Overall worst job ever!! Installing the laminate is also not an easy task considering you have to get it under the cabinet behind the slide rollers and then on the other side get it under the flap for the level floor slide. Overall not a job for the faint of heart or those without decent skills. Would I do it again, heck yes, but then again, I’m a glutton for punishment.
  13. Correct. There were not cameras where I now have them. They were in the mirrors. I kinda wish I had purchased the more expensive cameras that Tadi sells. Not because of the picture quality but for the better housing. These housings are rubber and not paintable. Still ok though since they are so small.
  14. All of the lines in the first pic are not from the camera. I will post better pics when I get the Coach outside.
  15. Here you go. Doesn’t look as clear as it does outside. Coach is still in the garage and lights were not all the way warmed up when I took the pics.
  16. We are back north at the coach and starting on my Spring to-do list. Assembled and installed the mirrors with the replayed arms I had done and the marker light in place of the head banging ugly brick cameras. Then I installed the new cameras and wired everything up. Cameras are super small. My only wish would be to be able to paint them. I had to take a peak inside the old camera just to see the size of the actual camera components. After seeing them it’s pretty easy to see that the manufacturer could have made the house much smaller and sleeker. If anyone needs a brick camera let me know I and I will send it over.
  17. M&M Electronics are the Guru’s you are referring to. Great guys. I have had work done by them. Here’s their number. 419-965-2662
  18. Hi All It is evident by looking at my paint lines that a couple of my slides could use some adjustment in height. I have a 2006 Executive with 4 HWH slides. Bed slide is electric. Can you please help me to understand where the height adjustments are for these slides. The street side front slide is a level floor slide. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
  19. Looks good and the picture looks better than the old cameras for sure. Looking forward to working on mine on a few weeks although it looks like we won’t be going out for a bit.
  20. It’s even easier to change your locals with the dish App on your phone or tablet. Just open the app and hit “on the road again” then hit “find me”. It will automatically update your locals based on your location
  21. As a last resort try taking it to a reputable auto body shop. There are a lot of plastic materials and adhesives that they use today.
  22. Oh. Couldn’t tell that from the pics. good luck!
