  1. Sounds like you would have to check it out with someone stepping on the pedal.
  2. I wouldn’t touch that 3/4 plywood as I would suspect that it adds to the structural integrity of the front cap area. Remember, Monaco had issues with windshields coming out or cracking on some models.
  3. I also built a similar test to what you have Dennis. I keep it mounted in the wet bay on the wall close to the cord reel so I don’t forget to use it every time. A couple differences that I thought were worth sharing is that I used digital volt meters on both legs/outlets and I also wired in a 220volt tester and wired it across the legs to assure the pedestal is not a cheater 50 AMP. Sorry that I am not near the Coach to provide a photo of the completed tester. Here’s a similar digital readout that I used and the tester also. I know had to put the digital readers at opposite ends of each outlet so they would fit
  4. Roger Burke offers a filler neck repair kit on his site. His site is: rvhydronicheaterrepair.com and the part is called “no-solder-filler neck kit”
  5. Thanks again Richard! I think mine has the external loop and wish I would have found Roger before I changed my fluid. 😳. He is a great guy!
  6. Thanks Richard, I thought that propylene glycol was the only approved fluid due to the toxicity of ethylene glycol. I am clear that fresh water loop and the closed part of the system are separate. Is there any risk with the use of ethylene products?
  7. Sorry, I was wrong in my statement in regards to my unit. I do not have a 450. Mine is a 100 series. My apologies, don’t know what I was thinking.
  8. I recall when changing my fluid in my 450 that I ended up putting in somewhere close to 14 gallons of fluid.
  9. Agree that this is a fragile mount. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! or the tab will break off. Don’t ask me how I know 🤬
  10. If you have a situation where there are short sections, maybe 5 bulbs or so that are out try this prior to replacing. With the lights on put your fingers together and rap on the light hard. You hopefully will be pleasantly surprised that they come on. I had a few areas like this and it worked for me. good luck
  11. I did Rustoleum Deck Over Paint. Two coats. It’s a great product and 4 years later it looks like I just put it on. Prep is key. It is applied with a roller and brush. Thorough cleaning, assuring all chalking/ sealing is in good condition and masking the paint line. I overlapped the old paint line by 1/4” or so to assure the edge was sealed. I now wash my roof once or twice a year with a mild soap and a soft brush.
  12. Thanks Ivan. Will do Have a healthy and happier year ahead!!
  13. Paul and Dennis Yes mine are the same as yours. Unfortunately, I just don’t care for the “European” look of the original ones. I was hoping to find red lens LEDs but no luck. I will be going with the original 98-02 Navigator taillights which have red lens and will install LED bulbs in them.
  14. Those are not a match to mine. Thank you though!! These are mine. Not exact in the layout of the chrome but very close. So ugly to me 2002 lincoln navigator tail lights - Google Search.pdf
  15. Eddy Just wondering how you are making out with your tire rubbing issue?
  16. I would like to replace the original ones because I really dislike the look of the original ones. They look like they belong on a rice burner low rider. I was hoping to go to a red lens LED if they are available. I have found that the origami application for my 2006 Executive are from a 1998-2002 Lincoln Navigator. The ones Monaco used were made for this application by an aftermarket manufacturer in Taiwan and are no longer available. I will purchase a set of stock red ones that were originally used on the Navigator and use LED bulbs
  17. I thought I saw something on this awhile ago but I haven’t been able to find it. Does anyone know what tailights were used on this Coach. I thought that they were from 2006 Lincoln Navigator but I think I may be mistaken Thanks,
  18. Very nice. New stainless is on my to do list for this year.
  19. Totally agree. On top of it he was certainly not just a CEO. He founded the company and with dedication, commitment, a ton of risk and most of all he gave a large part of his life to that company. He deserves every dollar he got and all the best to him.the tough part for him will be seeing his company change dramatically how it is run. When it’s your baby that’s a tough this to deal with.
  20. Thank you Dave for the very well written wishes. I am thankful for everyone here along with their thoughts, help and input. Thanks to all that help support this great site! You are a great team! Merry Christmas to all and here’s to a healthy, joyful and successful year ahead.
  21. Unfortunately replacing them with new Velvac parts won’t solve the problem long. I first replaced one base and after just two years the chrome was blistering around the mounting ovals. Much better to go to Space Coast for a long term resolution.....and you will save money too
  22. Look at David’s post above. He is the owner of Space Coast. He lists the pricing.
  23. Not really true, many fleets stay with grease packed bearings as they continue to feel that they provide better longevity. Also, there is not a need to repack them annually on a MH considering the extreme low mileage that they see. Certainly over the road trucks that run daily will consider this to be part of a regular maintenance list. I wonder how many folks actually ever repack bearing on a large MH during their ownership. I decided to have mine done last year as I don’t have a lot of the 3/4” drive tools needed for this big stuff. The local place that I took it to does a lot of MH service as well as big truck stuff. When I told him what I wanted done his comment was “nobody has that done”. Of course he was referring to MH owners. I think that in the case of most MH situations repacking every 5 years is plenty enough but I’m sure there will be others that will comment to the contrary. It’s a personal choice, do what you are most comfortable with.
  24. Ugh! Certainly the family found it too hard to walk away from 300mm but the summary from Thor clearly defines the path, which is to increase profits. Not unusual with an acquisition but in this case a bit scary considering some of Thors quality issues. Likely not to be much of a change while Bob is still there but after he is retired who knows.
