  1. I had a similar problem where compressor would try to start but condenser fan was sluggish . Its motor was stiff. This caused the circuit breaker that feeds both compressor and condenser motor to trip. the circuit breaker would reset itself and try again to start both. Replaced condenser fan and all was well. Bought fan at NAPA. Bob U 2000 Dip The clutch on compressor will have a very small amount of resistance. probably less than 10 ohms. Bob U 2000 Dip
  2. I used Coach Net to tow my 40ft Diplomat 45 miles to a repair center. The guy did a great job. He towed it from the front, removed the drive shaft, the mud flap, and the tow receiver . He attached a box with tail lights , turn signals and brake lights to the ladder. He asked us to follow him and call if we saw any problems. When we got to the repair center he backed the coach into a parking spot and restored everything back to normal in about 15 minutes. Bob U 2000 Dip
  3. The first thing I would do is change the thermostat , water pump and radiator cap. Mine came with a 7lb cap. I had problems with the warning light coming on while going up hills even though the temp gauge was only about 205 degrees. Turns out there are 2 water temperature sensors , one for the gauge on dash and one for the ecm. Replaced the one for the ecm and no more problems. Bob U 2000 Dip ISC8.3
  4. It sounds like it is time to do a TRW steering box replacement. The leak is probably due to a failed seal which will only get worse. Plugging vent is a just a patch and will come back to haunt you. Lost steering due to a cracked seal on I 85 in South Carolina. Not fun Bob U 2000 Dip
  5. Are you looking for the air dryer for th3 air system (air bags, breakes, etc ) or are you talking about A/C for dash ?
  6. I had some engine work done and they had to remove the CAC and radiator .Cummins sent the units to a radiator shop for cleaning. They said that both were in bad shape and recommended replacing both. They made knew ones out of brass.Had around 90,000 miles on coach. While they are out I would replace both. 2000 Dip Bob U
  7. Don't trouble trouble till trouble troubles you . Ecm probably changed by Banks upgrade. Bob U 2000 Dip
  8. Barry, Fan blows out not sucking in. If you stand behind motorhome with engine running it will almost blow you away. By the way how long did it take you to remove radiator ? Bob U 2000 Dip Rear radiator on Diplamat not side radiator Bob U
  9. Problem solved. We are at Lazydays for rally and ordered shroud from Lazydays RV store. Got it next morning and installed it today. 15 minute job. Bob U 2000 Dip
  10. Thanks Ray . I can check Lazydays and Camping World. Also Amazon. Have friends here at the Rally yo help install.
  11. On my trip from Atlanta to Lazydays I lost the cover om my front air conditioner. I checked all my manuals but could not find any info on brand or model. It is original and low profile. Does anybody know the brand and model ? Need to replace before going home. am on 239 in campground. I know Chris of Talin would know off the top of his head. Thanks Bob Ulrich 2000 Dip
  12. It sounds like a possible bad neutral in campground power box. Too many things damaged. Bob U
  13. On the 2000 Dip the slideout switch is in the cabinet on the passenger side where the inverter readouts are. The 2000 Dip manual is practically worthless. I have over 103,500 miles on my coach and it has a Sheppard M80 stearing box with little or no play in steering.I would not spend the money for a TRW box if i don't have play. If you do have an M80 there is NO TRW replacement. Bob U 2000 Dip bought new .
  14. I have had a leak from the lift pump before and it never caused a problem about starting. I tightened the 3 bolts to keep the leak from making a mess. The lift pump only runs for about 30 seconds. Try turning ignition on and listening if pump is running. You can hear it in the back. After 30 seconds turn off switch and then back on again.after doing this for 3 or 4 times try starting engine. If you have changed filters make sure they are not leaking as this will cause your problem. Starting the engine about once a month is a good idea. Bob U 2000 Dip
  15. Warning light fix for my 2000 Diplomat. Thanks to JACWJAMES I found the coolant temperature gauge sensor that feeds the ECM. It is located just below the thermostat. I replaced it in June and have not had a warning light in over 1000 miles. The coolant temperature gauge on the dash was accurate. Bob U 2000 Dip
  16. I would check the air intake , air filter, and hoses to intake. You might have a hole in air filter. Bob U 2000 Dip
  17. I am quite familiar with Bill's coach. A gentleman from the Marietta Ga area bought the coach. If it has a Georgia tag on it then it might be his old coach. The paint scheme on his coach is pretty much standard for a 94 Monaco . Bob U
  18. Glad to hear the good news about Debbie. Bob Ulrich
  19. When I cracked a seal on my m80 I was towed to a shop in Duncan, SC. There is no TRW replacement for an M80. They had to use a torch on the bolts to get them out. This is a 2000 Dip. They had it rebuilt and reinstalled it. There is a written procedure somewhere on Monacoers blog on how to do a trw replacement for an M90 or M100. Good luck Bob U 2000 dip
  20. It sounds like the easy fix would be to install a knife switch on the positive side of your chassis battery. Make sure the switch can handle the electrical load. Search on battery knife switch. Bob U 2000 Dip
  21. I had a situation once where the condenser fan was running slow and would stop. It would draw too much current that it tripped a 20 amp self setting circuit breaker. This also caused the compresser to stop as they are on the same circuit breaker. Replaced the fan which fixed the problem. Expansion valve being clogged can also cause your problem. If properly charged and everything is working right Then you should get a 20 degree drop at the center vent with a/c on max and blower on high.Get a temp gauge with a probe and measure at center vent, this is your ambient temp.Start engine, turn a/c on max, turn blower on high. Temp will drop 20 degrees in a few minutes. Bob U 2000 Dip Repairing a/c's since the old R12 days.
  22. a properly charged system will lower the air temp in the motorhome 20 degrees measured at center vent. I question the pressure gages. You have way to much freon in system. Bob U 2000 Dip
  23. Your A/C uses 134a freon. Walmart and auto stores sell the oil for 134a. Bob U 2000 Dip
  24. I have not received any daily emails for several weeks. I have checked my settings and the seem ok. Help !! Bob U 2000 Dip
  25. I will only go to one shop. Creative Coach in Lakeland FL. Even though we live in the Atlanta area the drive to Lakeland is worth it. This is a top end shop. I have been a customer since 2004 when we blew a left front tire and hit a guard rail and a bridge. Been back for several issues over the years. Bob U 2000 Dip
