  1. . I need to find Richard Low coolant sensor is wired to low coolant light on dash. It is not coming on. There has to be a second sensor on the engine wired directly to the ECM. therefore it would not show on Monaco wiring schematic. I know that there is also a separate sensor for oil pressure on the engine witch is wired to ECM. I need to find the sensor for coolant temp. Bob U
  2. I am having a intermittent warning light on my 2000 Diplomat ISC8.3 315hp. My coolant temp is running at 189 degrees normal. When I climb a hill the temp will climb to about 191 to193 degrees and the warning light may come on. Radiator is new and clean. Coolant level is OK. Wiring diagram shows coolant sensor going directly to dash gauge and not to ECM. Is there a second sensor on the engine wired to the ECM and if so where is it located on the engine ? Bob U

  4. I have a 2000 Dip with a ISC8.3 Engine. 30 quarts of antifreeze files my system. I would recommend replacing all old antifreeze and fill with new which has SCA already mixed in. Bob U
  5. I have heard that Monaco had a contract With Freightliner to build chassis for the Monaco Knight. Did they build the same chassis as a RR4R or was it a modified Freightliner Chassis ? Bob U 2000 Dip
  6. I have a 2000 Diplomat 40ft and replaced the Norcold about 6 years ago. I installed a Whirlpool and lowered the floor down to 1 inch above the furnace. No problems with furnace. Bob U
  7. I use a FS19738 primary fuel filter which requires a bowl on the bottom. MH came from from factory with RAC S3201T. I bought 2000 Dip new from Lazydays/ Bob U
  8. Why don't you look at the primary fuel filter and copy down the number on filter. Bob U 2000 Dip
  9. The old adage stands. Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles YOU. The lift pump only runs for about 30 to 45 seconds then shuts down until the next time you cycle the ignition switch. Bob U 2000 Dip with 127,000 miles

  12. I have several repaired over the years. They have a sheet metal shop make a new skin. They copy the old skin. Painting it to match will be the hardest to do. Bob U 2000 Dip
  13. I had my lift pump replaced recently because of a leak. Turns out the return fuel line going to the fuel tank was leaking at the connector. I have the old pump and you are correct the return line goes directly thru the pump casting. There are four sets of holes in the pump of which two sets are plugged. It must be a multi use pump. The pump itself only only runs for 45 seconds and then fuel passes on thru. The return lines are on top and fuel line from primary filter are on the side. Bob U 2000 Dip

  15. I had a fuel leak in the lift pump 2 years ago and I tightened the 3 bolts and leak went away.When it started leaking again I had the lift pump replaced. A little over $1,000. Still had a leak at the pump. Turns out the connector on the fuel line that comes out of pump sending fuel back to the tank was leaking all over the lift pump. Replaced connector and all is good. Thought you would like to know the fix. Bob U

  18. The problem is not fixed only diagnosed. I want to know where the other end of the fuel hose goes. There are 6 hoses hooked to the lift pump. I am curious as to where they go. Pretty sure which one is leaking, but not positive. Bob U 2000Dip
  19. Have a fuel leak at the lift pump. 2 years ago tightened bolts on top and leak went away. Well it came back so I had the lift pump replaced. Turns out the lift pump was not leaking, but a fuel line was leaking near the pump. Does anybody have a diagram of fuel system on RR8 chassis ? Bob U 2000 Dip
  20. The salesman solenoid on my 2000 Dip is located in the front bay under drivers side Bob U 2000 Dip
  21. That box is a converter box using diodes to combine the turn signal and brake light for your tow vehicle . The MH has separate lites for brake and turn signal therefor 3 circuits versus 2 for the t ow vehicle. You can buy them at any auto parts store.
  22. I live in the Atlanta area. Last year when my muffler rusted out I went to Jacks Diesel and Truck Service in Marietta, Ga. They got an exact fit from a truck Parts place and installed it for about $400 out the door. I have a 2000 Dip. Bob U
  23. Richard, I had warning light off and on and it turned out to be overheating. There are six conditions that can cause light to come on. Coolant temperature Coolant level Oil Pressure Intake manifold temperature Engine overspeed Fuel temperature This info is for ISC engine. Don't about other engines Bob U 2000 Dip
  24. This is a well known problem that existed 20 years or more ago. When the voltage drops it will affect the gauges on the dash. I have not ever heard of any problems of blowing a fuse. These circuits use 12v from the chassis batteries which are charged from the alternator . If you check the 12v going to the gauges you will see a drop when you turn on headlights. Rather than rewiring the headlights via a relay using another source for 12v chassis I chose to ignore it. No problems in 20 years. If you do rewire it the headlights will be brighter. Bob U
