Go ahead and install the red 1157 bulb. As long as your brake lights illuminate in red, the setup is legal. It doesn't matter what color the assembly is when not illuminated.

I had the same problem. The screws had pulled out of the metal frame. I replaced the screws with some stainless ones, a half-inch longer and larger diameter. Urethane caulk and re-installed the belt cover. Still good after 3 years!

From the time I bought my motorhome, I had attempted to solve my overheating problems first by flushing the cooling system, then by replacing the radiator. I finally received the proper diagnosis from "The Little Diesel Shop" in Kelowna, BC after a very tedious summer climb over the Rockies. My hydraulic radiator fan was not operating properly due to my hydraulic pump failing. A replacement was not available in North America! The manufacturer was in Italy, but had no replacement parts. They could, however, manufacture and supply a replacement of the discontinued pump next year for $7 or $8,000. I limped home to the east coast, and my mechanic found a clever hydraulic specialist who found a replacement and the problem was solved. I never knew how easy my coach was to handle with power steering that actually worked!! I sincerely hope that your problem is easier and cheaper to solve, but my story may help in your diagnosis.

If you filled your tank just before stopping to camp, the leak may merely be from expansion. The fuel is stored underground at the station. The fuel might have expanded in your tank when exposed to the warmer air, causing the tank to overflow. I made a mess of my driveway when it happened to me.

My friend with a 2017 Bay Star swore to me that his rig had no furnace. The option was not available on his thermostat... just A/C, heat pump or fan... yet the furnace exhaust was evident on the side of his rig. When we opened the access panel ...there was his propane furnace. Between his owner's manual and Google, we determined that the furnace option on the thermostat needed to be activated via a dip switch on the panel inside the A/C cover on the roof. His dealer set it for him, and said the A/C - heat pump had been replaced before the rig was sold, and the tech forgot to set the dip switch properly. It's worth a look!

What appears to you as fiber optic tubes are actually reflecting tubes that glow nicely when an LED bulb is shone into either end. That's how my grab handles are illuminated.

It's not rocket science. Have you ever used a roll up window shades? Same principle. I priced replacements for my four toppers from Carefree... at a fairly hefty cost. I had to locate a serial number on each unit for a "perfect replacement". A friend suggested another RV shop who keep a supply of generic vinyl toppers. They simply cut to size and charge by the inch. Worked out to be 25% of the cost. Call around in your area. If you have 2 or 3 able-bodied people, it's not a difficult job. Great videos on YouTube. Just find one to match your make and model. I saved hundreds! $$$

I have to remove the panel holding the gauge cluster to access the afore mentioned black box with red button. That's the unit you're looking for.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but in our 2007 Beaver Contessa, it is it is behind the gauges in the dash panel.

Grab the glass and turn counter clockwise. Use a jar lid grip cloth to get a decent grip if needed. The bulb is a halogen two prong. I replaced the 37 bulbs in mine with LEDs.

Here's what I do. Sanitize the water system: Prepare a chlorine bleach solution of 1/4 cup to 1 gallon of water for every 15 gallons of tank capacity. (For the 100 gallon tank, mix 1.25 cups, or 0.4 liters to 5 gallons water.) Add the solution to tank by first attaching the fill hose at the service panel, and then adding the mixture with a funnel to the other end of the hose before attaching to city water. Set the lever to fill tank, and fill with water. Open each faucet until a distinct chlorine order is smelled. Close faucets and let stand 4 hours. Drain system and flush with fresh water until chlorine odor and smell is gone.

I just had the windshield replaced in my 2007 Beaver Contessa Pacifica. John Inman at Novus Glass in Charlottetown PEI had to ship it from Michigan. I doubt whether there is a Canadian manufacturer.

Rubber valve stems with a half-ounce TPMS sensor should be no problem. I've been using the RVI system on my Ford Flex for years.

I'm in the process of replacing my 2007 Sony Bravia 32" TV with a 40" Hisense Smart LED. The height is similar, and I have sufficient width between overhead cabinet doors for a nice overhead installation.. I had bought a 58" Hisense for my house last year and have had good results with picture quality and reliability. When we bought the coach, the previous owner gave us the 3-page tutorial on how to use the satellite dish, DVD player and surround sound. We haven't turned on the TV in 2 years. Netflix and Youtube are our go-to's for entertainment at home. A good data plan and setting resolution at 720 will serve us well on rainy days.

I had my dash A/C recharged last season after my compressor seized and shredded the serpentine belt. All of the recharge fittings are below the windshield in the generator bay on my 2007 Beaver Contessa. Easily accessible.

It sounds like a short in one of the rear lamp sockets may me the culprit. Test one, then the other. Possibly a bad socket or a bare wire short circuit behind the socket.

Just fill your tank and run water through all taps and appliances. Also ensure any water heater bypass is off so you can fill the water heater tank. Throw out the first two fills from your icemaker. You're ready for the season. Happy camping.

They all come with a dump valve. Some are mechanical, some are electric. All use gravity to drain. And unfortunately, every model is unique. If the manual is not available, or simply no help, try to follow the plumbing lines, starting at the tank.

I have fried my 30/50 dogbone trying to use both A/C's on a 30 amp service. The A/C units have a sharp high-amperage draw when the compressor starts up. As I understand it, the soft start device softens the spike in current draw at start-up. Might well be worth the investment!

My acrylic handle is illuminated by a single led bulb in a reflector inside the chrome trim cap at the bottom end. Perhaps it's something you could retrofit if the factory didn't install one.

Great info, Dennis. Brings me back to my boating days before upgrading to a land yacht. Had a few sh*tty stories, mainly from guests treating the head like a trash can!🤬 I love being the envy of my camping group of friends. While they are setting up their stinky slinky's for a week-long stay, I put the macerator wand in the drain at the end of the stay.😁👍
