  1. I too want outside sound. But Instead of installing permanent speakers through the wall, I'm attaching a Bluetooth sound bar to the top of the forward bay opening. Adding another 110v outlet will provide power. Using my Pandora on my phone will provide endless music independent of what's on or off inside the coach. Don't even have to turn it on as the higher end units have auto sleep mode and don't have any problems with on/off power situations that we can encounter with our RVs.
  2. You can drive any "house car" 40' or less with a C. Yes there special "house car" rules. The 26000lb rule is for any single vehicle excluding rv. Gave up my A year's ago.
  3. Try switching the lines at the park brake valve. Remember, red is always supply.
  4. Wow!! That's a hard hit. Yes, you are correct about the possible bend in the steel tubing in the ceiling. Good news, it's all fixable. We use to say when doing steel fabrication, "it's only steel". And yes you want someone with knowledge about Monaco construction. Try getting a hold of this rv repair/inspection specialist who runs a YouTube site called AZ Expert. I've watched a lot of his vids. He does a lot of work on the older high end coaches like complete roof replacement, delam, and other major coach repair. He knows all about our Monaco rigs, and he can travel to you. Can probably find him on Google.
  5. My '99 Kenworth had the same TRW smart wheel. Lighted controls. Both Kenworth and Peterbilt used that wheel. Any of those dealers will have it.
  6. I use River City Indoor RV storage in Sacramento. Very pleased and reasonable rates.
  7. I have a '99 Windsor which has the same headlight assy as yours. They're from a '95, '96 Ford F150/250. You can stay WITH OEM, but there are some real nice custom led projector units available. LMC Truck is a good source. I'm doing mine before my next big trip.
  8. Commercial truck grade at NAPA. went longer too. I think 32".
  9. Sounds like a valve problem. Oil under pressure is making its way back to the reservoir via a leak through the valve. Check that the manual valve stems are closed tight.
  10. Have driven it a few times. Seligman to Kingman. Last was in 2016. Road was in very good shape. Stop in to go through the Grand Canyon Caverns. And they have a real nice rv park. Sites have power. You won't be disappointed.
  11. I need one as well, for a 99 Windsor to carry as a spare.
  12. Just a coincidence. I was just reading through my Allison operator's manual for service scheduling purposes, and the read your post. On page 12 it says to not "idle in reverse for more than 5 minutes. Extended idling in reverse may cause transmission overheating and damage". Sometimes we do find a situation during maneuvering that takes longer than usual. Maybe this applies to your situation. This also apply to idling in Drive as well.
  13. If you can locate a hydraulic supply shop, they should be able to make one. That's how we did it on big rigs all the time. Should be one in Milwaukee.
  14. I will be installing a FASS pump/filter system on mine asap. Also, I use Amsoil all-in-one fuel additive for lubrication in EVERY tank of fuel.
  15. It's a power upgrade that was offered by Banks for the ISC8.3. Consisted of an electronics package, turbo hot bowl replacement, and a gauge package with boost and pyrometer. To my knowledge, it's no longer available.
  16. Great info. Thank you. I know that the smaller 8.3s are going to want more rpm than the big 14L Cummins we used to run. They liked to settle in at 1600. What kind of boost were you seeing before the Ottomans quit? Gotta love spell check Ottomind Good to know re the Temps Thanks
  17. Hey guys, I'm new to this and am really impressed with all of your knowledge and advise. Our new to us coach is a very nice low mileage '99 Windsor 40' with the ISC 330 equipped with a Banks power pack tuned to 400hp. EGT tops at 1200 wot on a 5mi 6%er making 25lbs of boost. Coach drives and pulls hills great. In my former work, I owned big rigs with 525hp pulling 80k so I've been around that block. Question: Will this coach comfortably pull an '02 F250 4x4 weighing in at 7300lbs. Coach is rated to tow 10,000. Doesn't have to rocket up the grades, but would like to see at least 45mph on a 6%er. Let the thoughts begin. Thanks
  18. Our Caltrans dollars hard at work, NOT. Another horribly mismanaged state agency.
  19. Bought my '99 Windsor for $36,000. Stored indoors since new with literally thousands of dollars in parts and camping accessories. To high.
  20. '99 Windsor Very interested Will get some pics with tape measure next trip to storage.
  21. Thank you Roy Regards Keith & Suzanne
  22. Would be interested in the shelves, door shelves and ice maker if possible. Can do paypal to cover parts and shipping to Ca.
