I had similar experience and changed both whirlybirds in the tanks. Since yours is a 2002 same as mine you should be able to access them from the propane access door and removing the inner cover. My black tank had a frozen up whirlybird so I replaced it and added one to the grey tank.

I have a 2002 Diplomat the waste tanks fit snugly into their space. Had to recently change out the flush sprayers in both tanks. as you can see they are a very close fit that does not allow movement. Cliff

Some of those mounts use a 3/8 holes through the roof and then others are half-inch. Clean off the old decor from the mount and you should be able to unscrew that plastic mount from the metal mount. That’s underneath it if it’s what I’m thinking it is a fairly easy job first thing you need to do is get all at all diecor off there so you can determine what type of mount that thing is if you get it down to the 3/8 or half inch hole it’s in the roof you can probably fill it with new diecor and whatever else is recommended or even use a piece of that Roofing tape and tape over the hole. Pat, I replaced the tank on my 02 Diplomat Just didn't trust the old plastic. I changed out the small hoses as well they were in bad shape. Ben, That compartment is just behind the rear wheel. All of the road crap gets thrown up into this area so it might look old and cruddy on the outside. Mine looks dirty but was just changed last year.

2 the one in the condenser compartment and one on the engine.

My 2002 Diplomat ISC-330 has the same filter in the condenser compartment it is a water separator. Cliff

I have been in Buckeys and WaWa stations with no issues. Did you have to back up or get the mud guard hung up on a drain grate? Cliff

Brian, The stair moldings I made from 1/4 round on my compound miter saw. The black tape on front edge of each stair is non skid with a glow in the dark green stripe it helps both the wife ang the dog. Cliff

Just finished my floor project. I used Lifeproof vinyl plank from Home Depot. I used the same material in the stairwell. Stairwell was glued, and the edge on the driver side where the slide is was glued down on the edge, so it wouldn’t catch the slide.

Chuck, I think that is not a valve. Might be pressure relief. My 02 Diplomat has only the electric valve for turning off the tank. That’s the one next to the light. Try tapping that relief with something, you might get it to reseat if not it should be replaced.

If you look at the stairs the green stripe is non skid tape and the green glows in the dark like your watch hands. The lights are powered from the original step light switch next to the salesman switch. Really lights up the stairs well at night.

Very nice job I brought the tile all the way into the stair well, It is glued down here used E6000 to hold it down the rest is clicked together with part under slide glued as well. I left the carpet on the slide as you did.

I just finished the floor in my 2002 Dynasty. I used Lifeproof brand vinyl planks from Home Depot. Other than some fancy cuts it went down well and comes with the backer already attached.

My black tank and grey tank were not flushing as well as they should and the resulting odors were not pleasant. after some investigation I found that the whirly birds in both tanks were not working any more (20 years old). Found replacements at Camping World on line and they were actually less expensive than the rest. Long story short the tanks now get clean and odors gone.

Steve, Monaco was pretty good on their wiring. All the white wires have their function printed on them, at least on my 02 Diplomat. Take a close look at the wire from the switch and it should thee you what it is for. On mine it goes to a relay board in the compartment under the driver. You will have to refer to the 08 wiring diagram to be sure. Cliff

Steve, I had the same problem but for a different reason. On my 2002 Diplomat there are 2 switches above the brake pedal assessable from generator compartment one is for brake lights and the other is for canceling cruise control. On mine the previous owner had installed a brake controller for his tow. Whoever put it in used the cruise cancel signal line instead of the brake light line for the controller. I removed the controller and every thing works fine now. The cruise cancel switch is a pretty heavy duty switch and the cruise cancel signal is low voltage so the switch is probably not the issue. The cancel signal goes to a relay and that relay actually does the canceling. There ends the similarity between our coaches mine being an 02 and yours an 08. You will need to trace the circuit to find which relay or board is the cause and it may wind up being a bad connection. Good luck and I hope the 08 diagrams are clearer than the 02. Cliff
