  1. Thanks Ivan i wasn’t sure if the cable end terminated in the cable real somehow so it just coils up inside there and the end just goes to the transfer switch. I am going first thing in the morning to an rv place to get a new end a I will check the connections in the transfer switch when I have everything disconnected Just was your post Tom. Yes my cord real looks just like the link Ivan has in his post and my transfer switch is about 6 feet away in the bin next to the electric bay so I believe it goes straight to it. Thanks for all the help hopefully I can get this fixed and enjoy the rest of my week here.
  2. Great advice thanks. Tom you said ….…and also found the J-Box from the Reel to the Cable going to the ATS and tightened everyconnection. MANY WERE LOOSE... I crawled in the bay trying to find where the cord real (yes I have one) connections are but just found a round cylinder that looked like I couldn’t get access to it. I already tightened all the wires in the breaker panels and they looked good but I need to do the transfer switch. The in side of the transfer switch has to go to the cable reel and terminate somehow and I want to find that as well but not sure what to look for.
  3. We are hooked up to water not using the tank
  4. Because I am having some power issues I am only running the Aqua Hot on diesel to heat the water at night for showers. I turned it off after my shower around 9 pm and when I got up this morning I still had hot water. We went out and just came back at noon and the water is still very hot. I have verified the 110 and diesel is off on the Aqua Hot so where is this hot water coming from? I verified the intellitec systems appears to be working with the 110 volt switch for the Aqua hot. I press the button and hear a click and the little green light comes on the intellitec module.
  5. Thanks Tom for the the detailed advice. I will definitely do all of those steps and see if that fixes it. One question when you say pull the the covers off you mean the roof ac covers? Is that where the phone cables are best accessed?
  6. NOTE. Moderator's NOTE. There were TWO THREADS RUNNING ON THE SAME ISSUE ON THE SAME MOTORHOME. THESE have been combined as they are confusing and the information in the first one is pertinent to the second. First time using are new to us Dynasty in hot weather. Arrived at campground and got all set up. Turned on all 3 ac units and some other small things including some small fans outside. After about 20 min or so we lost all power. I went out to the power box and the breaker was not blown. Went to grab the 50 amp plug to pull it out to check for voltage with my meter and it was so hot I couldn’t hold on to it. I checked for voltage and it was dead. I called the park we are at and they sent out there service people and found that a breaker in another main feeder panel had blown feeding my box. Now I am only running two ac units for fear I’m going to blow the breaker again. No one else around me is having problems. I don’t understand why the plug is getting so hot, I should be able to run all 3 units with 50 amps(really 100amps) without any problems. Voltage is within range and the plug socket looks ok.
  7. Well after some more digging I think my middle and rear ac units that are controlled by the rear thermostat are wired incorrectly or possibly a bad connection in one or both control boxes. As I said previously the original thermostat showed two zones when I plug it in. The problem is when I try and control them individually I doesn’t work. They both work in tandem…..they either are both on or both off. I have used the furnace setting and the Aqua hot works fine but when I use the ac or heat pump they both come on always. Now when I plug in the thermostat I just got the screen works but doesn’t show zone 2 and both ac units don’t come on no mater what setting I use. I took my front thermostat and plugged it in to the rear and it also is missing zone 2 but both units come on and seem to function ok. So basically I get three different results from the the thermostats. And yes I have reset all of them multiple times. I am leaving on a trip tomorrow so I’m not going to mess with it till I get back. It’s very perplexing as to why the zone two shows up on the original one but not the other two and they are all exactly the same
  8. That’s what I thought. I see two zones with my old one but when I plug in the second one only one zone shows up
  9. When replacing a five button dometic duo therm thermostat with another one that is the exact same model is there anything that needs to be set up? I have two zones showing on my first thermostat that is acting up when I plug-in the new one it’s only showing zone one I did a reset but still the same thing. I’ve been looking online for manuals but they don’t say anything about setting up for zones.
  10. Just a follow up on my microwave to help someone else. I read on line that most of the time when you have the symptoms I had the capacitor is the culprit. When I located it it was leaking something so I new it was definitely bad. I got a new one and replaced the fuse again and now it’s installed back in the Motorhome and working great. Saved 600-800 bucks
  11. When I first got our Dynasty the bedroom tv worked fine but after a few months it stopped receiving a signal from the antenna. Nothing had been worked on in the coach. I used a wire toner tracer to find the route of the cable and it stopped in the ceiling in the bathroom so I assumed that was where the break was. I couldn’t get to it so I ended up running a new coax to the tv. I think a wire tracer is a good thing to have when trying to figure out how wires run when you have problems especially when you have gremlins in the walls.
  12. When I first bought mine the Aqua Hot fired up ok but no heat coming from all the registers. Bought it from someone in Florida that never used it. All 3 valves where stuck. Someone on the site told me to tap the valves with a small hammer and bingo everything started flowing. One of them I really had to tap till it finally started working and I have been on a couple of trips in the cold and didn’t stick anymore.
  13. Ivan, you are correct those are the vacuum lines that you circled. I have ordered a vacuum test gauge and going to pull that control box out of the dash. I found some videos on line on how to test this Ford control box so I will update for those with similar problems. For me it makes it easier to learn how something works first before I can fix it so I’m trying to learn as much as I can.
  14. I’ll have to take a closer look at that. I thought it was wires but maybe not. You said yours is under the Allison shift pad?
  15. Frank, mine does the same thing sometimes when on high for a while it will start just coming through the top vents. Today I started looking at it but couldn’t find the small black vacuum line on the inside. I was looking under the radio and center console area. I can see all of the vent tubes terminate behind the Aqua hot vent it seems. Not sure how to take apart the dash in this area. I didn’t see any vacuum lines connected to the back of dash control box so the vacuum part must be located somewhere else or behind the heater vent. Anyone ever take this area apart? My vacuum pump works and when I put the control to floor air just comes out of the floor. When I change to floor and top vents it comes out of both. When I go to just top vents it stays coming out of the floor and top vents. When I change to defrost I get some air but it still comes out of all the other vents.
  16. I guess I’m just going to have to tear into the dash and see what I have. I am going to try and find that thin hose that comes from the ball tank and try and find where it comes to under the dash. Found a thread about that line getting scuffed as it goes thru the fire wall. I guess I will try and get to the back side of the control box and see if I can figure out how it works.
  17. I finally fixed my dash ac today. I found a small hole in the condenser and used a aluminum brazing rod to fix the hole. Vacuumed down and added 134a now its cooling good again. I have a problem with the dash vents not operating correctly. When I turn to max ac it should just come out the top main vents but it comes out of the floor vents as well. It seems to come out of all the vents at the same time. I can hear it trying to change but never seems to go all the way to just one item. When i turn to defrost i get some air but i still have it coming out of the floor and front vents. I checked in the front generator compartment and found that the vacuum pump is working. I pulled the tiny line at the bottom of the round ball storage tank and the pump kicks on then when i plug it back in it will run for 20 seconds then shut off. It seems that is working correctly so i assume the problem is under the dash. I have looked through the site and cant find much info on how it works under there. Any help on where to start looking would be helpful.
  18. Richard, no switch anywhere in mine either to go from OTA to cable. I have verified that both systems work they must share the same coax. I just select auto scan and it picks up the cable when I have it hooked up at a campground. I just select Air on the Samsung’s when there is no cable hook up. As far as video components I have a Sony DVD player with am fm and surround sound that is up front by the door I think it’s original. There is a subwoofer under the kitchen sink you probably have the same thing. I was missing the video components for the bedroom tv so I went to a local thrift store that sells a lot of electronics and found a similar system like the Sony up front and it works great for the bedroom. I used the two speakers in the head board above the bed and added a small subwoofer.
  19. Having problems trying to find the correct dryer for my Dynasty. There is no part number on the old dryer just “made in China” I ordered one from Amazon and it has the wrong size fittings. I would think they used the same dryer for quite a few years so does someone no the correct part number?
  20. Yes I did see that post about the voltage drop and I plan on checking that out on mine, thanks
  21. We only use rv toilet paper so nothing else was flushed down. I haven’t looked into replacing the impeller it might be the original one so maybe that’s the problem. I will have to see how to replace it. When I first got this Motorhome and saw this macerator system I was very skeptical about it but after using it I really like it a lot.
  22. I am new to having this macerator and have used it on a few trips and didn’t have any problems. Just got back from a week long trip and when I went to dump just before leaving I had a clog in the sewer hose. I shook the heck out of it trying to get it freed up but couldn’t get it to clear. When I got back home I had to disconnect the hose to get it unclogged and had quite the mess. I use Happy Camper in the black tank and never had a problem on my old Motorhome. Just wondering if there is something better to use for this type of system. I like having the macerator system bit I don’t want to go through this again.
  23. Before we left on our last trip I had the ac on and was walking near the back of the Motorhome when I heard a sudden burst of air leaking out. It was Freon and it was coming from the condenser area. I think I may have caused the problem because when I changed to the wax valve for the fan control I was having some issues so they told me to take to restrictor out so the fan doesn’t start to turn for a while on start up. I was going to put a needle valve on it but haven’t got around to it and I forgot and turned the ac on right after I started it. I’m sure the head pressure got to high and found a weak spot in the condenser. I found the leak and I’m going to attempt to braze it with some aluminum brazing rod made for this purpose. I am replacing the dryer and after I vacuum it down do I need to add any oil back? I really didn’t see a lot of oil residue around the leak but there was a little.
  24. Thanks, I found them right off of the compressor
  25. Well I located the internal fuse for the microwave and it was blown. I also took apart the plug socket in the cabinet and it was making good contact. I ended up replacing the socket because I don’t like those rv press in plugs they use. I replaced the internal fuse and the microwave powered up fine but when I tried to heat some water up it ran for about 2 seconds and blew the fuse again. So now I’m looking for a new microwave……..bummer
