  1. Yes I have the 12 volt dual compressor and it works great. I have been on two trips and now down in Florida for thanksgiving and I am impressed. The freezer is at 0 and fridge is a steady 36 all the time. It only takes a few hours for it to get to temperature. Now I don’t have to worry about keeping the doors open when looking for something. I did run new 10 gauge wires direct from the house batteries to power it. They recommend that if your wiring is a smaller gauge. The installation was easier to me than putting a new gas absorption unit that didn’t work to well anyways. If you have any questions let me know….glad to help
  2. I had Toyo tires on my Fleetwood Discovery for about 6 years before I sold it and never had a problem. They still looked great when I sold it. One thing also is how the owner took care of the tires. Did he cover them? Did he let it sit for months at a time without driving it? I always cover mine and drive it every Month to flex and warm up the tires. Even if you do all these things it is possible on a rare occasion that you just get a bad tire. My new to me Dynasty has all 2021 tires Toyo on all the rears and two BF Goodrich tires on the front. Like others I have the Ez tire monitor system at all times to warn of a slow leak that’s what I worry about the most when it comes to tires
  3. I have the 3 mirror Velvac mirrors and they work fine as far as being able to adjust all 3 mirrors. The 2006 Monaco Dynasty brochure says “Triple head Chrome exterior mirrors with turn indicator lights”. There are no amber lights on the mirror arms like I have seen on some so I was wondering if it’s supposed to be on the mirror face (led). The reason I ask is I saw a Monaco Dynasty driving by me on the highway about the same year and the turn signal indicator was on the mirror face in the glass. When I turn my turn signals on there is no lights on my mirrors so is both my mirrors broken? Just wondering what everyone else’s mirrors do.
  4. My wiper arms look like they are not attached correctly. I can see daylight from the inside of the generator compartment so water is getting inside. It has start to rot the dashboard wood form underneath a little in that spot. Is there some sort of rubber washer that is missing? Also is there a cover for the nut that holds on the wiper? I am getting the front painted and want to get this fixed.
  5. Tom you stated the the circulation pump runs when the boiler is on diesel or electric. I thought that high pitch wining noise was the pumps running but I only hear that when it’s on diesel never on electric. In fact mine is quiet as a mouse on electric so is there a problem with mine? when I run the ah on electric only I have plenty of hot water and have used the furnace mode and it puts out heat but not as much as when it’s in diesel mode.
  6. I am having a few areas painted on mine next week. I drove over to the paint supplier with the Motorhome and he did what Don said and used a paint camera gun to get all 3 colors. I had the paint codes but the guy painting the Motorhome said it is not going to match as well using the codes since the paint is 16 years old. Hopefully it will turn out good.
  7. If you go to the web site https://www.arprv.com/products.php it will answer all of your questions. The recall kit lets the temperature get to high and can cause damage to the coils that could lead to a fire the Fridge Defend shuts it down before damage can occur
  8. I purchased this around January when I changed my cooling unit on my Norcold. The Amish cooling unit they sent me was defective so I ended up going with the 12 volt compressor unit so I don’t need the Fridge Defend anymore. It’s in perfect working order. I paid $225 for this package with fan control and extra fan. I am asking $130 and I will pay to ship it.
  9. Coming home from a recent trip I noticed a squeal at times coming from the front when applying the brakes. I have looked over the site and found a lot of information about drum brakes but from what I have read I believe I have disc brakes on the front…..is that correct? I just hit 70000 miles so if I have disc brakes maybe it’s time to get it checked. I’m not sure of the longevity of disc brakes on these rigs.
  10. If you are looking for an easy way to keep tabs on your propane tank level then try this….https://www.amazon.com/Mopeka-024-2002-Sensor-Magnets-Steel/dp/B08RR2HP1Z/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_w=RFLXI&content-id=amzn1.sym.116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_p=116f529c-aa4d-4763-b2b6-4d614ec7dc00&pf_rd_r=ZZGNDXKYYA4KXQF16ZPM&pd_rd_wg=SmGYb&pd_rd_r=3c105933-4007-4171-b432-b6ae4e47a8f4&pd_rd_i=B08RR2HP1Z&psc=1 I have used this for years and it works great. You just stick it on the bottom of your tank, put in your tank dimensions, download the app and you have your tank level on your phone. I used it on my old Motorhome and moved it over to the Dynasty when I purchased it last year
  11. I just came back from a trip yesterday traveling through the Tennessee mountains I had an 8% downhill grade for about 3 miles. It was the first time using my Two stage brake and wow did it preform well, I was impressed. I started in low down the hill and the rpm’s started creeping up slowly when it got to about 2400-2500 rpm I switched to high and man it started slowing down fast almost to slow. I just toggled back and forth a few times till I got to the bottom never touched my brake. My old Discovery had the exhaust brake and I always had to jab the brake to keep the rpm’s from getting to high and up shifting so to answer your question Richard yes I love my Isl 400 engine brake
  12. Mine are all missing so i would buy some as well.
  13. Just a follow up on my Norcold Amish unit. When I installed my new cooling unit it was cool weather and it worked ok but when summer hit it was a different story. When the outdoor temperature was 80 or above the refrigerator section was about 50 degrees. I added more fans to no avail. I called JC refrigeration and they asked me some questions and determined my new cooling unit was defective. I said I didn’t want another absorption unit and said I wanted the 12 volt dual compressor model. They sent it out to me in a few days no charge. I just installed it a few days ago and wow I am impressed. This thing cools down in about two hours and the freezer gets to 0 on setting number 4. My Norcold box is in great shape. The door seals are good and the doors are stainless steel to match my other appliances. So now I have a residential refrigerator and no more fire hazard. I would recommend it to anyone and again JC Refrigeration was great to work with.
  14. I managed to install my Autoformer in the bay right in front of the power reel. I followed the 50 amp cable coming from the power reel heading to the transfer switch and found a large tie wrap up in the bay ceiling so I cut it and had enough slack without having to run a new cable I didn’t want any additional splice’s. I just went on a two week trip part of it in Florida and had the AC’s running all the time and everything worked great.
  15. Just an update on my ac silencer……we have been on a few trips and currently on one now using the rear ac all the time and it has preformed very well. Much quieter and doesn’t bother us when we sleep at night. The biggest problem before I installed it was when sleeping you could hear when the compressor kicked on and off very distinctly. Now it sounds pretty much the same all the time so just a constant white noise that doesn’t wake you up.
  16. I ended up going to the Monaco website and sent them an email with my information so I will see what happens.
  17. He is actually camping right now in Georgia and going to be there a few more weeks. I told him to take the cover off and look inside for burnt contacts and tighten things up good. He’s never taking the cover off and looked at it because it’s never been a concern to him he didn’t know.
  18. My brother-in-law has a newmar and he was showing me a picture today and I noticed the transfer switch. Is this one of the ones that can cause a fire?
  19. The Discovery group I belonged to had a gentleman that installed a 12,000 btu mini split in his Discovery. They didn’t use the front tv above the dash so that is where he put it. He ordered a kit from Amazon that was pretty reasonable and spent a lot of time doing a nice install of it. We went to a rally last year and I saw it first hand. It was very quiet and he said it cooled the entire Motorhome and that they rarely turned on the rear ac. He installed the condenser in one of the storage bays outside. Here are a few pictures I found
  20. I am getting ready to replace my Magnum inverter and remembered a problem I had with my old Motorhome with a Xantrex inverter and the sensor probe. There is an issue where the voltage from the battery can back feed thru the sensor if it fails and destroys the inverter/charger. The instructions on most of the charger/inverters say to install it on the positive battery post and that’s a bad idea in my opinion because it messed up my old Xantrex inverter. I sent it in to be repaired and the technician call me and said that’s exactly what happened. I ended up buying a new one. Here is a video that explains it a little better.
  21. Looks interesting. Web site doesn’t say anything about pricing.
  22. Thanks Don for the info. I did have an old solar panel on the roof it looked original and it went down to the refrigerator compartment to a tiny little controller. Here is a picture of it. I just reused the wire that looked like romex but it is stranded heavy gauge cooper. If it never had Solar from the factory then why is the line showing up in the Aladdin system? Maybe they all have that?
  23. I installed a Morningstar solar system in my Dynasty. I have the Dual bank controller located in the last compartment next to the battery bays. I looked high and low for the factory RV 45d but couldn’t find one so I figured it never had it. The reason I was looking for it is because on the Aladdin screen it shows Solar charging status which is confusing. Does anyone know how I would tie my solar system to the Aladdin system?
  24. Went over to do the steps Magnum suggested to no avail. I disconnected the battery Leeds at the inverter and shorted them out. I let it sit for about 45 min with all phone cable leads disconnected. I turned on the two battery disconnects and started the generator. I went straight to the microwave because I know it goes through the inverter pass through and it came on. I was excited for about one minute and it went dead. All sub panel circuits where dead again. I plugged in the Magnum panel and had the same error code. Time to order a new one.
