  1. I changed all the main radiator hose’s about year or so ago and used this vacuum system to fill it back up. It worked fantastic and it eliminates air pockets in the cooling system. I had a big 5 gallon bucket and kept filling it as it was sucking the coolant back in. This way your sure coolant gets to all those hard to get areas of the system. I think I put in about 12 gallons you can’t get it all out.
  2. Thanks John, that’s strange that you are using the J1708 bus I thought that 06 made in 05 would be on the newer bus. Anyways thanks for the information I will give David a call. I’m not sure it’s a gauge problem or feed problem. I have unplugged all the connections to the gauges and they all seem good no corrosion and all connections are solid. Another thing I remembered is when I stated it I don’t remember hearing the low air pressure alarm but I’m going to double check that.
  3. Thanks John, I shut everything down and disconnected the BlueFire dongle and it’s still doing the same thing. When I was setting it up I picked the J1939 bus since I have a 2006 and I was trying to see if it could read the air pressure on the app but it wouldn’t so I also enabled the J1708 bus. It said to do that to see if you get more data but it still didn’t pick up any new information so I put it back on the J1939 bus. I don’t know if even the BlueFire has anything to do with it but it does seem strange it started doing this right after. If it is the BlueFire I’m not sure of another way to reset the ecm. Like I said I disconnected the chassis battery cables and let it sit about an hour no joy
  4. Went to bring home the Dynasty to get ready for a trip and the rpm air pressure gauge is acting up. When I turn the key all the gauges go through there start up procedure and the rpm air gauge works for about 30 seconds then starts doing the start up procedure non stop. All the other gauges work fine. Aladdin is showing correct information on rpm but I have no way of monitoring air pressure. I have found some recent gauge problems but not quite like mine. I disconnected the chassis battery leads for about an hour but that didn’t work. I pulled off the dash cover looking for loose wires and I’m pretty sure I have the Actia gauges. The only thing I did recently was add the BlueFire system so I’m not sure how that did anything. 00D2BC4B-B8EB-4D64-8ABF-F2B7A636078C.MOV
  5. I just purchased the BlueFire system and during setup I noticed that the radiator fan speed is one of the items that should work. Gauges on your screen that won’t work says N/A under it. On my fan speed it says it’s off and at 0%. The reason it’s not working is because I disconnected the Sauer Danfoss electronic system and installed a mechanical wax valve. My question is can you install some kind of fan speed sensor inline and hook to the wires that I left bundled up so it will show up on the BlueFire system? I don’t know if it’s even possible but It would be great to monitor the fan speed while driving.
  6. I went over today and checked the tail lights and everything seemed ok as far as clean connections, good voltage and clean lens. It looks like the taillights have been replaced but look like the originals but the red part seems very dark. The other thing I noticed is that the upper turn signal light is upside down and I don’t know why but it seems to make the turn signal less visible standing from behind. Anyways I have been looking for some brighter LED 3157 bulbs. Amazon has a ton but seems to have a reoccurring theme of Hyper flashing with the turn signal. Depending on your rig some work and some don’t so well. Has anyone replaced there taillight bulbs with LED with success and know what kind you used? Also my third brake light isn’t working as well and I know that’s another rabbit hole to go down.
  7. My turn signals and brake lights work except they are dim. I don’t have anything connected to the tow harness so I’m not sure what could be causing this. When you are behind it in the daytime you have to look hard to see it. I don’t think someone traveling behind me would see it. Seeing that they work the fuses must be good maybe a ground issue?
  8. Well that’s another difference between ours, mine is tied to the rear ac which we always have on so it’s kind of a pain when my wife wants to do laundry, we have to shut the rear air off.
  9. Crazy how we have the same model and all built around the same time and yet this box is in very different locations. Mine has a build date of September 05 although it’s classified as an 06. Richard you will probably find yours in a completely different location.
  10. Laura and Trevor welcome to the site. You have a beautiful rig there….. I especially like the color scheme it looks real nice 😊
  11. Man, I can’t believe how different the wiring is on the same model from one year to the next. You would think they would keep the wiring prints for the same model instead of drawing up new ones to keep costs down if the interior stayed the same. On our model it seems like a logical place to have it next to the breaker panel because that’s where all the feeds come to. Hope you find it.
  12. On your 5.9 there is a engine mounted canister filter housing only accessible from the top of the engine. I used to own a 2000 5.9 and it was mounted in the same place. It’s a paper filter not a spin on type. The black canister is mounted on the passenger side of the engine block. You should have a second spin on filter for a fuel water separator located somewhere. That could be anywhere along the fuel line. Here is a video on a Dodge Truck same engine as yours.
  13. No not the power cabinet. It’s inside the rear cabinet above the bed. Open the cabinet door above the bed on the passenger side and remove the panel that’s there. It is right next to power panel on our model. Forget the air vent it’s just a picture I found that shows the cabinet
  14. Bob R I have an 06 Countess and I found mine the other day by accident running some wires. It’s in the overhead cabinet above rear bed on the passenger side. You have to remove the inside panel in the cabinet on the outside wall to access it.
  15. I replaced mine last year and that’s what I found on my Penguin.
  16. I would like to order the Guardian plates for my slide. I have tried to call today multiple times and just get a message that they will be back from vacation on July 10 and the mailbox is full. Is there another number to call? I don’t want to email would like like to speak to them.
  17. I read somewhere that on the BlueFire settings page near the top is a Do Not Lock setting that needs to be checked that keeps it from disconnecting. Might be worth a try.
  18. This was my setup using a windows tablet in my previous Fleetwood Discovery. You can really setup and customize it with pictures and stuff. I Really liked it but I an considering getting the BlueFire because of one major difference and that is the Blue Fire is wireless and the the Silver leaf is not. I hate wires running all over my dash and I also like the fact you can use an iPad with the Blue Fire and only windows with Silver leaf. Again I like the Silverleaf but the fact it’s hard wired and only windows based makes me lean towards BlueFire. I think they both provide plenty of data and customization just depends on what your looking for. And yes that says 10-11 mpg on my old Discovery I sure miss that 5.9
  19. It’s a tough decision if you boondock a lot. Having the propane option really cuts down on your battery drain. I got rid of mine and went with the Amish 12 volt compressor model and I do feel a lot better sleeping at night in Motorhome but I do miss that propane option. I just can’t believe after all these years they can’t make a propane fridge that isn’t a fire hazard and cools really good.
  20. Richard, I have the same model Aqua Hot and have found the electric has been enough most of time for my wife and I needs. We can both take a shower in the evening and have plenty of hot water. Even in cold weather if we just turn on the rear bedroom heat and the temperature isn’t below freezing it will keep up all night. If I turn on the other zones I have to fire up the diesel burner. We mostly use the electric only and fire the diesel burner once in while if we use a lot of hot water for dishes or just to exercise it.
  21. Thanks…….that’s just what I’m looking for.
  22. Ivan, what shunt are you using? I have been looking at the Victron ip65 but it’s a little pricey for my needs
  23. Doug, did you ever find out what the problem was with your HWH panel?
  24. I had to leave it as a core for the rebuilt starter I received. I thought $300 was a fair deal
