  1. Same here, I keep adding stuff then realize I have two of almost everything now. One thing I carry is a lot of different size cable ties, it’s amazing what you can do with those things in a pinch.
  2. This is a good video on how to remove rusted exhaust manifold bolts
  3. Lots of great information here. The vacuum cleaner I used was the one that came with the Motorhome installed under the sink cabinet. I plan on checking the house batteries thoroughly and I ordered a deep cycle hydrometer. In the mean time I plan on running down the batteries to just under 12.0 and do this a few times. I can use my refrigerator as a test it draws 11 amps and is connected directly to the house batteries so I can leave the main disconnects off, turn off my solar panels and monitor the voltage and amp draw from my shunt meter and solar voltage meter. I will time how long it takes to deplete the batteries and hopefully it will improve with each cycle. In the two years I have owned this Dynasty i never have really exercised the batteries at all. The solar always keeps it fully charged and we never dry camp so I can see why they need to be drawn down and used like they where intended.
  4. Well that makes sense because I never have really drained them down much, they are always fully charged.
  5. I have a shunt meter on the house batteries and at the time the solar was adding to the bank. I did not have the refrigerator on being since it is at the storage lot. As I said in my first post the only thing on at the time was over head lights and the normal parasitic draws that are always on.
  6. I have 4 Trojan T105 batteries that are 3 years old. They have been always kept fully charged. I have 300 watts of solar that keeps them topped off when in storage. We don’t do any boon-docking at all but would like to start doing some in the future mainly just overnighting once in a while. The problem I’m having is I Don't seem to have as much capacity that I should have. Yesterday I went over to do some things at the Motorhome and both banks were at 13.5 float charging. I had some of the overhead lights on for an hour or so while working not much else. When I was finished I turned the inverter on to use the vacuum to clean up and after maybe 5 minutes of running the inverter shut down saying low battery. The low battery cutoff is set to 11.0 and it was reading 12.3 on the Magnum remote so I was confused why it shut down. Does the vacuum use a huge amount of power? I have the Amish 12 volt dual compressor unit that is connected directly to the house batteries and it draws 11 amps when both compressors are running. Both compressors cycle on and off so it wouldn’t draw a continuous 11 amps all the time but I’m afraid that it won’t make it through one night if can’t even run my vacuum for 5 minutes.
  7. Bryan, I replaced my skylight over a year ago and I wish I had gone with a darker tint. My original one was clear and I purchased smoke but it doesn’t block out enough of the suns heat during the day. Even though it’s supposedly smoke it only has a light tint to it so basically clear. I went to Home Depot and found some 1/8 white plastic type material that I cut just slightly over size for the opening and kinda wedged it up in there and so far it’s worked good at keeping the heat out.
  8. Larry, our 06 Countess doesn’t have the tv coming out of the ceiling in the bedroom. Its on the large wall and if yours is like this I installed a 43 inch Samsung smart tv and it fit perfectly in the spot. There is enough room for the slide to come in and clear the tv. I installed some additional speakers in the cabinets above our bed with a sub so we have surround sound. We love watching tv in our bedroom it’s like our own home theater.
  9. I am having this same problem of water filling my tank very slowly. Sometimes it doesn’t backfill and other times it does….very strange. I was thinking it was the tank-city water valve but never considered the pump.
  10. I did the same conversion myself almost 2 years ago and so far it has been flawless. We have the stainless steel doors on our Norcold and it matches good with our appliances so I wanted to keep it and didn’t want to do any modifications. I know the door seals can be an issue but ours are good and if they became a problem I would find a way to replace them without replacing the doors. Also I have read problems with the hinges breaking but I’m not sure how that could happen unless you forget to close the doors before you drive down the road. Ours are steel hinges and seem to be very stout. As long as the Norcold box is in good shape I would definitely get rid of the fire hazard innards and turn it into a residential. We have traveled the country this past year in all type of climates and it has been rock steady 36-37 in fridge and 0 to -2 in our freezer I would do it again in a heartbeat.
  11. You might try this place to get it repaired https://www.acsindustrial.com/repair-catalog/scs/3052547.html
  12. I used this from Home Depot on my last motorhome when I replaced the floor around the top of the steps. https://www.homedepot.com/p/M-D-Building-Products-Cinch-1-22-in-x-36-in-Spice-Fluted-Stair-Edging-Transition-Strip-43311/204768761
  13. Wow, I’ve never seen that before. I would look closely at all the other rims as well.
  14. I still can’t believe it was still actually pumping out the waste the last time I used it. Imagine what it’s going to do when I get it fixed!
  15. Dennis, congrats on almost turning 80! I hope I’m still able to drive my rig when I’m 80. Btw you don’t look 80 in your picture for sure more like 60.
  16. Thanks, yes I have read that. I plan on getting a strainer for the shower.
  17. My waste macerator hasn’t been working so great since I purchased the Coach so I decided to take it out and apart and this is what I found. I can’t believe it was pumping anything at all. It was totally plugged up and the plastic gear was totally designated. Anyways I have looked around on line for the little stainless steel blades but can’t find them. The ones I took off seem to be ok but I would rather replace since I have it apart. Anyone have a link?
  18. I have had the same issue on my ISL. It never drips any oil on the ground so I didn’t worry about it. I finally cleaned the area up a few months ago and no signs of any oil there now. I’m not sure where it was coming from either.
  19. My friend who has a Motorhome wants to change his countertops. He found a shop that would do it and when he was discussing what he wanted the owner said they would only put in Corian or Porcelain because of the weight. I never new porcelain was even an option but it’s a lot cheaper than the Corian so you might want to look into that if your thinking of replacing them.
  20. Jim, like others are saying it’s probably a CO or Carbon Monoxide detector if you don’t have one in the bedroom. You should have a propane detector near the kitchen somewhere as well. BTW Don Carter State Park is one of our favorite parks next to Vogel in Georgia.
  21. This is what I use when I get under my Motorhome. They are a little expensive but I never worry when I get underneath. It’s worth the investment. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GTMIQO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  22. Both of your roofs look very good for their age. I hope mine looks that good 10 years from now.
  23. As technology advances over the years you would think these gps systems would be fool proof by now.
  24. One thing about google maps that's happened to me is i will select a route and say to start then some where along the line its decides it found a better route. It will ask me if i want to change and i say NO and it will just change me anyways at some point. Its happened so many times that I have to keep checking if the route has changed. Has this happened to anyone else?
