  1. I'm also looking for a filter. I checked out the Filter Barn and got this "Filterbarn Has Closed." They weren't even nice about it.
  2. Had this happen and it cost me $108.00 to get it fixed. There is a 3/4" nut on the starter (main Batt Lead). Tighten it. For some reason it seems to loosen up. According to the mechanic the cummings engine is bullet proof, except for this quirk. I carry a 3/4" open end wrench in my center console, just for this purpose. Used it number of time. Every time I pass this on I figure my $108.00 is well spent, consequently the cost goes down. I figure the cost is some where around $20.. by now. John 97 Dynasty 40' 2006 Jeep Cherokee
  3. Halogen are normally bright, that is there intended purpose. I think you probably have them wired in series and they are lowering the voltage. I replaced all of my interior lights with LED's. Cost was about $4.00 a fixture. My front 3 in the living area are switched so I can turn off half the fixture. Still plenty bright. I am going to do a paper on how I did it as soon as I find the pictures. No I did not use strip lights,
  4. I had a Smart Start for over 4 years, it came with the bus. Worked fine till a guy where we had it stored, left the disconnect on. It froze. Trying to see where it is at. So far it is checking out. If it is bad I plan on replacing with the same AGN 8D. Same problem with the house batteries. I people before us replaced the batteries with 2 100AH Deep Cycle. I'm going to replace them with 2 AGM 4D's 220AH each. There goes my COVID money. 97 Dynasty.
  5. Good choice in rigs. We have a 97 Dynasty and love it. Enjoy the journey. John
  6. That looks like a typical expansion reservoir. Mine is much larger and isn't pressurized. I guess old is different (97 Dynasty). Mine also has a sensor that give me a reading on the level of my coolant. John
  7. Sorry this is what I have. The instructions that come with it are: REMOVING RADIATOR CAP When the engine is cool turn the coolant surge tank cap counrerclockwise slightly untilyou hear PRESSURE ESCAPING, STOP and WAIT until allpressure is relieved before unscrewing cap completely. Add coolant mixture to the level indicated on the surge tank.
  8. Am I missing something? My 97 Dynasty has a screw on cap on the tank. It's a plastic tank with the level sensor in it. John
  9. I submitted my files and they were added to the files section, just after this site went active. I want to add your files to my Google Drive for access by other Monaco owners who are not members (God only knows why). I do thank you for your drawings. John
  10. I have the complete 97 Dynasty manual loaded on my Google Drive and would like to add these to it. They are great. Thank you. John
  11. I filled the old holes with calk and put some butyl tape behind them. The only thing you have to pay attention to is the polarity of the wiring. Don't get to macho on torquing down the screws. Enjoy.
  12. I replaced all of my clearance lights on my 97 Dynasty last year. I found these on ebay and they fit the recesses perfectly. https://www.ebay.com/itm/20pcs-10-Diodes-Double-Bullseye-Red-Amber-Trailer-Marker-LED-Light-Clearance/143470196642?hash=item21677d77a2:g:pl0AAOSw1kxd8vDj They worked well and very affordable.
  13. Check in the roof fridge vent cover, they should be 10 to 8 gauge wire. The wire on my 97 Monaco went directly to my rear panel. I wouldn't pull new wire. The wires go to the main panel. then to the cut off switches, then to the battery , using the main cables. I had no direct wires from my panels. I mounted my panels with "L" brackets using tape, screws and sealant. I can tilt them. I hope this helps. It ain't rocket science.
  14. You have a loose connection. Wire nut the wires together. Depending on the number of wires you can use a yellow or a red nut. The nuts should be tight. How many wires are we looking at? If I have a bunch, like 6 or more I'll break them down and use jumpers. Hope this helps.
  15. I used 6" aluminum ducting from Lowe's. Seems to work fine. Installed over 3yr ago. https://www.lowes.com/pd/IMPERIAL-6-in-x-96-in-Aluminum-Semi-rigid-Flexible-Duct/50169335 $14.98 Just-John 40' 1997 Dynasty

  18. When I got my coach 4 years ago, my tube was missing. So I went to lowes and got some 6" duct pipe. Fit slicker than frogs fur. I know it is suppose to be smooth inside, but what can you do. Just John 97 Dynasty 40', 2006 Jeep
