Supposedly, I need that to find the part# for the serpentine belt. Does anyone know that part number and the best place to purchase it? Chuck B 2004 Windsor Posted June 4, 2021 Share Posted June 4, 2021 I suggest you bite the bullet and take your coach to a "Cummins Authorize Distributor Shop" and let them do the work. They will be able to provide you with the serial number of your engine and the associated parts numbers. Since you have a Dip with the rear radiator, unless you are physically fit to install the belt and and tensioner, they will do it for you. RNMCBR Posted June 4, 2021 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Gary, Your coach is the same as mine. Your belt is Gates: K080830HD , or Cummins: 3972263. Your tensioner is Cummins: 3950-01-503-4617, p/n 3976831. It will cross to aftermarket if you desire. Belt replacement is not that hard but you will probably get your arms dirty. You will need a long (2’) ratchet, breaker bar, or belt change tool to release tension while you slip the belt off the tensioner, and also to put it back on. Just take note of the routing. You will have to route most of the belt from above. Especially as you thread the belt around the fan blades. You will probably want to remove the engine cover rear extension in the closet. You can unscrew the closet door rail and twist the rail out without taking out the closet doors. But the doors come out pretty easily. I cut a bevel on the back side of my rail to allow the engine cover to come out without removing the rail. Just takes time and patience. Would be nice to have a helper but I never do. Admirial RVr Posted June 6, 2021 Share Posted June 6, 2021 I have an 2006 Dip with ISL 400 same as yours. I changed my serp belt and tensioner . Not really that difficult.. I did have a helper. The Cummins part numbers that Roy gave you are what I installed. My biggest issue was getting the belt. I live in south central Florida and none of the dealers had a belt available in FL and they wanted $33.00 just for shipping. If you want original parts from Cummins check for close by dealers that you can drive to. I did find a Cummins parts distributor in Boca Raton, FL, they orderd the belt for me and shipping was $9.95. When I bought the coach last October, I had systems overload. I am not sure how many different systems are onboard but the thought of maintaining them all (while still working) was a bit stressful. With a mechanic friend helping, and all of the great input from you guys. I think this thing is really gonna work and create some great memories! Don't worry about the picture page or other info. Hit submit and I'll handle the rest. Alternatively, If you have all these files in a file shared directory, send me an email with a link and I can handle the upload for you. If all these files are applicable for the 2007 Diplomat, I can also combine them into one pdf file so folks don't have to open and print each page. This would give folks the option to have all the files in one document. I already checked and we don't have a wiring diagram set for a 2007 Diplomat in the download files so the info you provided will be great for helping others. Roy Frank, I just noticed that there are a set of wiring diagrams already uploaded for the 07 Knight. However, when I tried to download them, Mcafee said that they are dangerous and possibly infected with a virus/spyware. I don't know whether this has something to do with how the files are handled by the web site or whether Mcafee is correct. I added in the description how folks can download individual files or if they want to, I combined all the 95 PDF files into a single 117 page PDF document so all these files can be in a single document download.
