Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has seen a connection like this before?  Changing out house batteries and I discovered this in the battery bay after removing old batteries. Was not attached to batteries as far as I could tell.

thanks for any help

Looks like the temperature sensor for the charger/inverter. They are usually attached to the battery to measure its temperature. The best charge voltage is dependent on temperature and this is the best way to get it right.

Mine is a block with tapered ends that sticks to the battery with double sided foam tape. Anything to keep it in contact with the side of the battery case is OK.

Thank you all for your input.  It is the battery temperature sensor for the solar.  It’s a Heliotrope Controller sensor as Keven said.  I looked up the wiring diagram for the controller and it is put between two batteries to get a temp.

Again, thanks!

Battery thermister.  Batteries are charged based on temperature and charge.
