det944 Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Took the 2006 dynasty for a spin last night and had the coolant line rupture at the nipple going into the turbo. Made it home ok since I was only a couple of miles from the house. Once the hose is replaced are there any cautions as to adding coolant? Any suggestions on accessing the reservoir since it's at the top of that engine compartment? Thanks, Dan
Doug and Nicki Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 You will need to gravity feed coolant into the tank by siphoning or get a bulb hand pump. Also, Harbor freight has an inexpensive electric water pump that can be used but rinse it out well afterwards.
Solution Dr4Film Posted November 21, 2022 Solution Posted November 21, 2022 My coolant surge tank on my 06 Dynasty is fully accessible which can be filled with a small plastic bottle. Are you saying that your coolant cap is not accessible?
det944 Posted November 21, 2022 Author Posted November 21, 2022 I can see and remove the cap just looks like using a funnel will not be possible. I'll just try to use a plastic anti freeze bottle to add the coolant. Thanks for everyone's help! Dan
Frank Bergamo Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 You can use a funnel with a piece of hose pushed onto the end of the funnel. By raising it above the opening, it will drain without making a mess. Hope this helps.

det944 Posted November 21, 2022 Author Posted November 21, 2022 I noticed water vapor and droplets on the rear camera. Also saw steam in the camera. When I stopped the rig the stop engine light came on with a message " low coolant". 1
det944 Posted November 22, 2022 Author Posted November 22, 2022 Used the 1 gallon antifreeze container to fill the system w/ 50-50 mixture of water and anti freeze. Worked well laying the bottle on its side. Thanks all!
