  1. Joel, Couple of things... 1. I moved the post to the “Water Systems” section (in case you’re looking for it. 2. When posting a new topic, go to “Home” use the “Start New Topic” button or link towards the topic of the topic listing. When you do that, you should get a drop-down to select which forum to post it in. 3. If you are in a forum viewing topics or posts and use the “Start New Post” link, the site assumes you want to add a topic in that forum. If that happens, let us know and a moderator can move it to the correct forum. Hope that helps, Scotty
  2. Yes, Thanks. I equalized my batteries about two weeks ago.
  3. Steven, Here is a pic of my 4-6v battery setup. Shouldn’t be too hard.
  4. Thanks Chris! I’ll tell Debbie I have it from competent scallop-loving authorities that I should go ahead and buy the AGMs from Sams. I’ve been looking at the lithium batteries Bill has been talking about, but by the time I buy the batteries, inverter, and all the other stuff I can justify, it gets to be 2 - 3 times what the agms cost. If we boondocked more, that would make sense, but we rarely boondock. of course, once I buy the AGMs we’ll prolly start boondocking more...
  5. I’ll check on that default setting... if there is a way to change it I will...
  6. Ok gang! I've added a "profile" field that doesn't show when posting, and changed the old profile field to "Brief Bio" that DOES show when posting. If you look at my posts, you'll see my "Brief Bio" by my name. If you click on my name and view my profile, you can read the longer version with more detail.
  7. Hey Gang, I’m trying to figure out if I need to replace my batteries... I’ve tested battery voltages, both with load and no-load (I have a good battery tester), and for specific gravity. The batteries are Interstate Deep Cycle Extreme GC2-XHD-UT 232 Ah, installed December 2015. Two of the batteries test perfectly fine in all respects. One battery tests “weak” for voltage under load (5.4v). No load voltage and specific gravity are fine. One battery tests “weak” for voltage under load (5.8v) and has lower specific gravity in one cell (1.210 - 1.275) We rarely boondock. Should I try to stretch these a little longer until they go from “weak” to “fail”, or is the wise thing to go ahead and replace. If I replace now I can save about $80 on the batteries I’ve selected due to a current sale. Advice? Thanks, Scotty
  8. Display Name changes are enabled. You can change your display name once every 30 days. The PREFERRED Display name is your first name and last initial, or first and last names.
  9. I like the idea and have invited the TSD staff to look at the site and discuss with the moderators. They have joined the site - and hopefully will be able to answer questions for us directly.
  10. I went in and changed the site setting to 90 minutes. The 5 minute setting was not working properly.
  11. Terry, You're not doing anything wrong. My son and I are working to import the message database from the Yahoo group. It's quite a large undertaking, with over 263,000 messages, and is taking longer than hoped. (We are both volunteers 🙂). Meanwhile, I'll try to find that post and post it here... Terry, let me know if this is what you were looking for. It's a string of about 30 messages, but here's one that gives details:
  12. Rich, Before you go... please take a look at this and see if it may provide what you want to see. Initial feedback has been positive, in that it gives updates on all posts. Not email, but pretty easy to use once set up. We just added this last night to attempt and provide the type info you are looking for. Scotty
  13. Ok gang, trying to come up with a solution. We don’t have an email notification, but if you’re willing to try something new, this might give you what your looking for... Download an RSS new reader app (I use Newsify, but that’s one of dozens, just search the App Store or google play store for “rss reader”) and subscribe to the “Test” feed at Monacoers.org. I’ve set this up to send everything - all new posts, files, articles in a steaming format, similar to receiving sequential emails. If you click on a message, it takes you to that post on the website It feels very much like the content I received from emails, without the duplication... and can be read from a phone, tablet, chrome book, or PC. I may be an old dog, but I can still learn a few new tricks... I would appreciate your feedback... Below is a view of the app showing unread topics only:

  15. In your Account Settings, go to “Signatures” and change the slider to “Show Signatures”.
  16. Thanks Ron. We actually added that feature, but your note made me realize it was somehow disabled. Go to Account -> Profile, the in the upper right click “Edit Profile”. You can add information in the “About Me” section. To view another users info, just click on their name/icon.
  17. Thanks Mike! I haven’t spent much time looking at the leaderboard, so I can’t tell you much about it. It’s one of the default features of this software. I do like the idea of posting more about the “staff”. We’re all volunteers, so staff isn’t really the right term, but the idea of giving more information about the group leadership is a good one.
  18. Update: After much searching, probing, and gnashing of the teeth, I finally broke down and reached out to the software developer that wrote the core program we use for the website. Here is his response: I’ve requested that be added as a new feature in a future release. He’s adding it to the list, but I don’t have a timeline when it will come. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  19. Whatever you’re comfortable with. You can have the last coach you owned, or just “Monaco Alumni”, or Former Monaco owner. Dave Pratt lists his SOB (some other brand) coach that he currently owns. Some list the last Monaco. I don’t think it’s big deal either way. We’re just glad you still participate and share your knowledge and experience.
  20. I recently went through the same thing... had to replace it. About $50-ish to get a new one. Manufacturer says they should be replaced every 5 years. I didn’t know that - I thought they were good for 10 years - until I read the data sheet that came with the new one. When they start beeping randomly, they’ve gone south.
  21. Joel, if you download the EFS app you can see the actual net price you will pay. TDS also publishes it daily (for members only) on the private side of their website.
  22. David, I tried to go capture this info from Yahoo, but sadly they took everything down a day early. There's nothing left of the admin interface (which would let me view that), the files, links, or photos. Just parts of conversations. Well, I tried...
  23. Tom, your signature automatically shows below your post, under the "Quote Edit Options" buttons. 😄
  24. Click on your username in the upper right hand corner and select “Account Settings”. A page showing your user id and password will show, and click “Change” to the right of your password. Scotty Webmaster
