  1. Same here. Gave up living aboard my Newporter 40 to go Land Yachting. Kinda miss it though.
  2. I had mine restitched and they only lasted another 3 months. I purchased all four toppers from Stone Vos. Mine were folded over all four edges and stitched. My only issue is the ends are very taught (very good) but the middle is lose and holds water worse than before with OEM toppers that were not stitched on the ends. I did discuss this with Stone Vos and came up with a solution to make the middle taught also. Just haven't done it yet. I still highly recommend Stone Vos. PS Just need to add something the same material thickness to the roller to tighten up the middle. All will be good.
  3. Great info!! We are in Desert Hot Springs and will be calling him.
  4. I have recently had an issue with my upper section of my ladder coming loose from the rear cap. Not really sure if I need the hole ladder though. Is $200 a firm price and does it include all mounting hardware? I am currently in Desert Hot Springs, Ca.
  5. Don't know how close 07 and08 are but there has been a 08 CD for sale on ebay for quite awhile.
  6. Yeah I’ve been hem hawing about buying the Silverleaf. DW is thinking sticks and bricks maybe.
  7. Dont know about where your at but Cummins only wants $95 to run a diagnostics with a printout.
  8. Got a call today my coach is all good. Their explanation is once they reprogrammed and updated the ECM, all started working great.
  9. Thankyou Frank Thats been the issue..no codes. And they are using the insite software. Just before I left the shop, all my slides stopped working. Geeze Louise!!!!
  10. Well its now Wednesday and the VGT actuator was not the only problem apparently. Cummins is conversing with the techs and giving them a list of checks to follow. Left coach behind and rented a second car to grab as much stuff from coach and heading to a family funeral. Will check back with shop next week.
  11. Very interesting. Just wish I was more mechanical. I’ve only built two engines in my lifetime with the help of my dad before he passed in 96. The last on was a 57 Mercedes Benz diesel we removed from our 40’ Newporter Ketch that we had planned to sail to Hawaii and back. All mechanical engine, easy peasy!! With help of course.
  12. Thankyou so much for all your knowledge. I will check Monday to confirm what software they are using. And if I remember right the boss deals with my extended warranty company “Cornerstone” and mentioned replacing whole turbo with actuator. But I will ask Monday. Did not take filter apart. Just ran manual regen to hopefully fix the issue.
  13. Thanks Frank As of 4:30pm Friday the techs say they found the problem. VGT and actuator. Ordering parts. Closed over weekend so we are sitting in a motel. Extended warranty says it will be covered. I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞 Wasn’t towing at the time. Techs finally say they found the issue. VGT and acuator. Will see!!!
  14. Well it started doing that issue when the engine and hest light came on. I drove 25 mi doing 10 mph to get to the shop. Ended up having to do forced regen and then the codes cleared. No Allison codes via their diagnosis so far.
  15. Not yet. It shifts all 6 going downhill and going up hill down to first. Engine in neutral sitting and driving max’s out at 1500 rpm.
  16. Yesterday we lost engine power by check engine light and hest light blinking. Engine berated down to 10mph. Found shop and they did a forced regen and all seemed good. Started out to get on fwy and trans will not upshift. I tried to manually shift and trans started to upshift but then regressed back down. Any ideas? Waiting for same shop to open and limp back.
  17. The number that starts with DOT is the DOT registration number. It is required to be imprinted on approved lenses to show it is a DOT approved headlight. There should be another number starting with a manufactured symbol of name like Hella, Sylvania, Depo, etc. then a part number. Look very closely at the lower edge of the lense, it is not easy to see sometimes.
  18. Well I hope someone with a coach like yours responds.
  19. How about some pictures. From all external TV’s I’ve seen, not sure who makes the enclosure, but all Ive seen have a keyhole mounting. Also they had some sort of access from inside. I would love to be there to see your setup.
  20. My screws were accessed under sink. Loosen then slide up. Previous coach not current one.
  21. Granted I will check the voltage. BUT why would the pump motor start up on its own, keep running to the point it drained bats to the point Magnum started screaming like a jet taking off trying to charge bats which alerted me something was wrong while sitting in the living area. Tripped 150 amp resettable breaker and blew 5amp fuse in the lippert brain 🧠 of which Lippert tech said didn’t exist. Whew!!!!
