  1. Depending on which system and coach you have, you need to make a back up copy of the programing incase you need to reprogram. Chuck B
  2. I owned a 1998 Diplomat rear radiator coach and a 2004 Windsor side radiator coach. On the Dip, there was always the problem with keeping the inside of the rear radiator stack clean. The rear tires would always kick up the road dust and grime that seemed to pass through the rear radiator stack. The road dust and grime would always build up from the bottom of the fan shroud toward the top. I found that cleaning the radiator stack once every 6 months made the job easier. We were full timers back then. I purchased a Electric Karchner electric pressure washer that made the cleaning easier. The water pressure was low enough to not bend the fins. On the 2004 Windsor side radiator stack, the fans would draw the air in from the outside in instead of blowing the air from the inside out. Therefore you got cleaner air to pass through the radiator stack. Chuck B
  3. The only sealant I would use on my coach roof is eternabond, a tape type sealant. Once you put it on, it will not come off.
  4. At my many visits to both factory assembly lines I was told at the wiring harness board/loom that Monaco would include All the wires for all the factory installed options for the year, make, and model coach whether the options were installed or not. Chuck B
  5. At least I do not use the site to promote my business, taking advantage of the members, and padding my wallet like you do. Chuck B
  6. ??? How does auto leveling start the engine? Chuck B
  7. Which air compressor are you posting about? The air compressor on the engine, or the small HWH compressor located above the front axle? First you need to get rid of all the air leaks on the coach. Then you can manually level the coach. It should hold level for over 30 days. At least it did on my 2004 Windsor. The hardest leak to find was the air coupling under the emergency brake plunger. Chuck B

  9. There are several web site options in the parts list. Chuck B
  10. The sending unit is composed of a tube within a tube going down into the tank. The fuel level is determined by the amount of fuel between the two tubes providing a capacitance reading. The asphalt substance in the diesel fuel coats the insides of the tubes. Get some carburetor cleaner and spray the area between the tubes. Chuck B
  11. NAPA sells a headlight lens polishing kit. Used it on my Ford Ranger. After a little elbow grease, the lens will polish out clear. The local Sams Club auto shop might do them for around $35.00 each side. Chuck B
  12. What you are describing is usually a bulb burned out or a corroded bulb socket Chuck B.
  13. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Vann is the one who posted a reply to my post. I am playing nice .
  15. Ah, yes, Vann. At least I do not use the group to advertise my products from my business to make money. Chuck B
  16. Check the parts list for several companies
  17. An excellent example when a coach goes down the blvd at a speed that is not safe for handling. I never drove my coach over 60 mph.
  18. A lot of interest seems to be on what we tow, not about setting up the vehicle we tow with the proper braking system. IMO, the braking system needs to be both progressive and proportional. In additional to the above, does the hitch on the coach have the necessary rating to tow the weight of the vehicle being towed.
  19. Google the DOT number on the lens to find out where they came from. Better yet, many repair shops can get a polish kit from NAPA to restore them. My local auto repair shop polished the headlight lens on my Ford Ranger. Good to go for another few years.
  20. Be glad your grand kids are close enough for you to enjoy. Ours are over 500 miles away. What keeps me on my toes are the "honey do things" the wife seems to want me to do. I respond by "doing less than nothing", that creates work for others, including her.
  21. As each day goes by, one get older. When one gets older, things one did in the past have to go away. I turned 79 last week. I am no longer able to do the things I did in the past because of physical and mental aging. So instead of crying in my soup so to speak, I have resolved myself to find to do other things now and in the future to replace what I did in the past. In addition to giving me an attitude adjustment, I found new ground to explore. IMO, the whole thing is a part of growing older. The big thing for me now is to try to stay as active as I can both physically and mentally.
  22. If one does not know what to do or expect, and the tech doing the work does not either, one is left with additional problems.
  23. It is easier for members to give a more detailed answer when the OP provides the year, make, and model of their coach. I have been a member of this group since Bill D founded it. On the 2004 Windsor, it takes a special alternator that has a DUVAC provision. It is a known fact that unless you replace your alternator with the EXACT same alternator, you will have the problems you are having. The recommended procedure is to have your existing alternator rebuilt. A lot of members have fell into that pit. I would suggest that you try to get your old alternator back and have it rebuilt. Perform a motor home alternator search on the internet .
