  1. Thank you very much John This will help us fast track everything in the morning. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  2. Ivan /John/Al 14 volts at C5 (-)(Brown) and C8 positive (yellow), took the burner out and surprise! The fuel solenoid valve coil ,the electrical terminals were broken away from the plastic or whatever material that is connected to the solenoid, when we fired it up before we took the burner out it did blow the fuse for the ignition again , so hopefully with a new electrical terminal base ( probably not sold separate) we solved the mystery. Hopefully good news if and when the parts come in. Tomorrow Alternator check! Thanks everyone Wayne 1999 Monaco Signature Caesar
  3. Sorry It was just an ongoing conversation with John, should have started a new post, sorry for the confusion, starting to do some tests now, thank you for the information much appreciated. Wayne 1999 Monaco Signature Caesar
  4. Always something to work on, I was reading somewhere when you own a coach you need no other hobbies, rains it pours, went to fire up the aqua hot and it cycles and getting Fuel but no ignition, fuse in the front drivers side and took the cover off the unit and ignition fuse is okay there as well. Batteries are good, shore power into the garage. ??? Thanks Wayne 1999 Monaco signature Caesar
  5. John /Dave As always take the advice posted before you make critical decisions, so in saying that I started at the batteries ,tested ,cleaned all good at this point, I checked power at the alternator and seem to have nothing, key on/off,master switch on. So one of my clients is who service the coach is going to do a house call, they have a fleet of trucks and have experience in the industry, I know that wiring diagrams have been posted in the past but I cannot seem to find one for 1999 signature, I would like to have a copy when Mike shows up on Monday. John would not happen to have a pdf copy ? Thanks for all the help Wayne 1999 Signature Ceasar
  6. Your correct Dave As per the manual the alternator /Tach /Transmission all linked together. Going to do all of the above, all the batteries are 4 years young. I checked out on the chassis batteries at the time, my maintenance on the house batteries should have been betters, going to go through all the connections ,clean and check, final step check the alternator. Appreciate the help Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  7. Thanks Bill/John Just a little panic yesterday, changing out all the batteries today, cleaning all terminals, new steering tires yesterday, hopefully it resolve's my Tach ,Transmission problem. On the 1999 does the battery charger work as well as the new battery tenders? Thanks Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  8. Transmission and Voltage/Tach any connection between the two?
  9. New some help, I have seen a similar post before just cannot seem to find it, on my way to put new front tires on and noticed before I left the Tech was not working, alternator charging at 12 volt, turn lights on and needle just jumped bit, stopped at a set of lights, made the turn and the transmission jumped into neutral and the light on the dash came on,pulled over, put it in neutral, sat for couple seconds and put it into gear away I went, sitting at the tire shop, going to check the oil bu I know it is good.leading up to this I had pulled out the house batteries (are pulled tray out) and topped them up with water, just checked the gauge on the RC7 panel and batteries are at 12 volt, prior to unplugging from the garage they were at 13 and change, isolator? I believe there is a connection / two systems run together, tach/transmission Any help will be appreciated Thanks in advance Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  10. Thank you Denis I am going onto year 5 with all the Tires, still in great shape, I have decided to start with the front axle this year and ordered a set of Michelins yesterday, little pricey but it is only couple hundred dollars difference to sit over top of the best tires on the market. 11. Vito If you don't mind telling us, what brand did you put on your Signature? Thank you happy easter Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  12. Ryan On a trip west in November and it was Cold! Had to go to Winnipeg to pick up a pool for the house, turn the big rocker switch on to turn the aqua hot on (located in my 99) on the cabinet above the sink, boiler fired, nice clean smoke from exhaust, went back in the house (did not turn) anything else on, I always let the boiler reach operating temperature first. Went back in turned on engine heat(located) drivers side, then turn on each zone for heat, went back in the house had coffee. Hour later , back in coach, turn the key engine already warm, coach warm. Arrived in Winnipeg, turn coach off, go to sleep in park (hooked up to shore power)woke up in the morning coach is not blowing hot and Aqua hot not firing up. In the manual that was sent to you explains where the fuse panel is "in" the aqua hot unit, sure enough pulled the cover off and fuse was blown for the "ignition" to fire the unit. Caution - read the manuals, there is low/ high voltage in there especially if your hooked up to shore power. Such a simple thing - fuse ! Now what caused it not sure yet, will find out next month when I fire everything back up. Good luck Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  13. Just be extra cautious because the Easter bunny will be extra busy during these difficult times with drop off's for every one to enjoy some delicious treats, our Bunny in the Boreal Forest is difficult to see because they are still camouflaged white to blend in with the snow! 14. Great idea Paul Thank you for the pictures and description, good old plunger! Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  15. The cord coming from the bottom of the coach is nice /clean, only concern I have is the large opening, like opening the front door to let mice in, anyone have pictures and or an idea on how they prevented these critters from getting into the bay, once they get in they will find their way around in your basement. in storage I am plugged into 110, so in saying that I made a small plate ,drilled a hole, pulled the plug through, sealed the hole, placed a weight on top and closed the bay door. would like to have something quick /clean for the big power cord, once you get mice inside the house it may be a problem for a long time. 16. Kevin. Mentioned in the post this morning that he only able to put 20k miles on the Toyo's and needed to replace, I am going to put Bridgestone back on when the time comes, what are your thoughts on 20 k miles and going on to year 5, they are in external visible great shape? Thanks Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  17. Thanks Kevin I may stick with the Bridgestone 's, tires on there now have no wear, like brand new, age is what has me concerned going into year 5 with 20k miles. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  18. I posted on Wednesday in regards to steering tires and tires in general, any recommendations and or link to other postings would be appreciated, I cannot seem to find the posts from a while back, I looked under tires and came up with no information. Thank you in advance Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  19. Well done! I have friends that think they are okay driving an Air brake unit in Canada (Canadian citizens) without an Air brake endorsement, they say they only drive in the USA,but you have to get there, I had one friend that does not really talk to me anymore because I told him to call his insurance company and explain to them what your doing. Like you said it probably won't be you but if someone crashes into you and it is critical that's another story. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  20. I sure glad that this came up again, I have 20,000 miles going into year 5 with all Brigestones , no wear what so ever, no cracking always out of the sun. I am heading to Nova Scotia in the spring and then to Tempe Arizona in November. I know there has been many posts in regards to "when to change the tires on the rig" I am concerned and was going to change out the steering tires to Toyo's, thoughts? Too soon, being to anxious? I never drive over 65 mph. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  21. ,I had a 14 foot Haulmark , nice trailer to pull, put some toys inside, only pain was if I had to unhook and park in another spot.there is no moving anything by hand.If we were somewhere for extended periods not so bad, benefit of the trailer everything locked up out of site out of mind. Enjoy the new bike!
  22. That is a good price! Like in other posts, keep the post clean and tight, spray them with CRC. Battery terminal protector/I like the Vaseline trick as well.if your coach charges them when on shore power that's great,I have mine on a small trickle charger/maintainer and when I have no power I use small portable solar panel, stores easy in the basement of the coach. 23. Great post! I fished Walleye Tournaments for 8 years and it was part of the cost of doing business, every 4/5 years there will be a bad cell here and there, could not afford for battery failure at any time so we would tear everything out of the boat and replace. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
