  1. Morning Flat tow with the correct equipment is so easy and quick to connect/disconnect. No wheel bearings, flat tires to worry about. I have a 2500 dodge diesel and a 1500 dodge ,I have both with front mounts to hook up,the dodge is nice with the neutral push button for flat tow. Wayne 1999 Signature ceaser
  2. Congratulations, nice rig. Just keep smiling, it will be rough at times but alI we can do is laugh about it and move on. This group will help with everything from a monthly budget to troubleshooting everything in a Monaco, good news is you bought a Monaco. Wayne 1999 Signature ceaser
  3. Sorry for your loss, will eco Richard, my tenant burnt my shop down next door to where our home is,he was working on his car which started the fire, it is a complete loss, it burnt on December 23 rd and I have called, sent emails asking for a progress report, she finally responded yesterday and said I think we should have some answers for you in a couple weeks!!! It seems to be a new world ,short staff, people sick, people using this pandemic for leverage. All I can say is take a deep breath, no one got hurt, hopefully replacement cost from your insurer, use weaknesses as strength, looking for a new/upgrade coach ,condo whatever the next chapter may be could be very exciting. 4. Scotty I know it is a tremendous effort to keep things rolling,in saying that, thank you. The site is great, I am busy with business, training and family, I don't have the time to spend searching for specific items,I like the general dash board ,in the am with my coffee in hand I can have a quick glance and keep up with what's going on. Thanks again Wayne 1999 Signature ceaser
  5. Power may have shut off for a moment and came back on, in my coach the TV will come on. Wayne 1999 Signature ceaser
  6. Brad, do we have to do a PCR test when returning back to Canada? Wayne 1999 Signature ceaser
  7. Same as Richard, 300 max/6/7 hours, stop to use the washroom, walk around the rig(in trip inspection) 3 to 4 times.start every day with a 5 mile run before getting behind the wheel.shower, cup of Joe and away we go. As for the rabbit, he is wiser then the others! Wayne - Ironman Madison 2019, Tempe Arizona 2022 1999 Signature ceaser
  8. Bill You will likely get a lot of responses in regards to this topic.I have a 1999 signature ceaser and have not changed out a air coil, have 103000 miles on it. I have a couple that probably leak a bit air but nothing to be really concerned with, all the coils are Firestone, they all look like new,I tried to purchase a spare Firestone but they sent me another brand that is very comparable and a little less pricey, they also had lots of inventory. Rubber is hard to come by these day due to the situation around the world. I do have a spare that I carry with me just in case. I would never attempt that project,I would but the bags and bring it to a truck shop and have them do it, the guys are going to chime in here after my post, there are a number places but one in particular that is very helpful, they are located in Florida, my coach is parked 1000 miles from where I now and all my notes are in it, one of the guys will give you the name and number. Good luck, it could be a dangerous task . Wayne 1999 signature ceaser
  9. Congratulations! Big boy coach! nice light color on the exterior . Enjoy Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  10. Tools to winterize coach 1 - 3' soft rubber /plastic hose ,I believe inside diameter 1" 1 - 3/4 gallon jug RV antifreeze. Take the intake line off water pump, put hose on,put hose in jug, turn pump back on, go to each system that supplies water in coach , hot and cold, and run until pink. 20 minutes, $ 20 dollars and your coach can go to Alaska in the middle of the winter. If you use your Washer and ice maker and your sewer rinse you will need more antifreeze and time. I don't use my washer and Ice maker, keep it simple and can switch from when we travel from - 30 to plus 30 in a parking lot in 20 minutes. You would need a little RV hand pump to flush your black water tank (flush) system. I have fired my Aqua hot until it reaches operating temperature , shut it down and you will be amazed at how warm it will stay for many hours. Lots to learn Remember you do not need any hobbies when you own one of these rigs! Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  11. Morning One of my clients has a inspection station for commercial vehicles, they service my coach, crawl all around and underneath to find something wrong or possibly things that could go wrong. I have 100 900 miles on my 500 Cummins and I ask the question about valves and adjustment and he says "not even close" one of the things to watch for would be over fueling which in turn could see lots of black smoke, if it were me I would find a Cummins (Motor). Mechanic, someone who services generators and or rebuilds. I would keep my hands out of there. Good luck Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  12. House batteries 4 /6 volt Duracell golf cart batteries, 2 /31magna starting batteries, 4 years old, clean all posts and spray on battery protector once a year, top up house batteries with distilled water after they're charged every six months . If I get another year out of them I will be more then happy, 7 years they owe you nothing, great run, time to replace. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  13. Ted I can run my norcold fridge, c- pap, bedroom furnace fan ( Aqua hot on electric) for 8 hours before I need to charge up the house batteries, in 1.5 hours with Generator on, batteries are back up to full charge, I just came home from the east coast and was living in the coach for a month and this was the routine. Hope this helps Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  14. I use the same as Vito, Shell Rotella 15/40 and Fleetgaurd filters, Never add oil between servicing, it will drop down a couple quarts but I never add(gets to it sweet spot) if it is down to low there is either a leak and or do for service. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  15. Don I put all new carpet (I like white expensive carpet) feels nice on the feet, warm. I took out the seats/sofas and that's it. The most labor extensive part was tearing out the old with all the staples, buy lots of blades for your knife, I hammered all the old staples back into the wood, nothing was rusty or wet/ moldy ,nice and dry. would I would do better next time is try to keep all the areas in one piece, I have a fairly large garage, so in saying that we took the pieces out laid it onto the new carpet and cut/traced everything out, mind you we had washed the garage floor to ensure everything stayed clean, air stapler and away we went. 2 days of labor and I think it was 2100 for carpet /staples and looking after a friend to help out. I have the original heated tile in bathroom and galley that I will not get rid of, my wife hates it but she says "it's your coach" do what you want. vacuum often, shampoo once year/ more often if needed. When it looks and starts to get worn I will throw it out and do it again. I like carpet, I like the retro look, I still Remeber the first prevost that I traveled in, 1980 streetheart band bus, we new the driver so he dropped the band off for the night to perform and pick us up and we headed to a party, what an entrance that was! Good Luck Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  16. Morning Thanks guys Took the motor out this morning, Air mailed to Alberta coach and chassis as a core, they are sending me a new one, brining batteries in this morning for load test, also sent electrical module with the motor. Low voltage and fuel pressure are crucial, you are correct. Fingers crossed Thank again will let you know the outcome. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  17. Going to check in the morning, going to dream about aqua hot tonight, can't wait Thanks Ivan Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  18. Brand new electronic ignition unit, blowing the 15amp fuse (ignition) driving me crazy already
  19. Any ideas will be most welcomed! Aqua hot serviced, filter, nozzle.lots of fuel, lots of battery/shore power. Changed fuel solenoid because it had cracked after 20 years, changed the motor after 20 years, worked 4 or 5 times with furnace on,6th time started to blow ignition and fuse, took it apart noticed coil wires all dry and brittle, one cap broken off coil so thought I had it figured out, put brand new could wires hole works in and thought we had it, fired it up lots of black smoke and I know what you may be thinking but it has only ran 6 times since new filter and nozzle, turned it off, turn it on again and it fired, black smoke again then it quit, check ignition fuse and it was blown, put another in and it blew again, I have isolated the wiring harness from the Aqua hot and it is all good, hot wired fan motor all good, no cracks,no leaks. Any idea? Thanks Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  20. JB weld or find a place that sells spill kits for fuel and they will have an amazing sealant that works fantastic, we use it on tanker trucks/ skid tanks for the back of pick up trucks (contractors) for portable fueling, it can be leaking and this stuff will stop it. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  21. Morning Nothing wrong with that cost! I will take that all day long, five gallons of 50/50 antifreeze, belt ,water pump and labor ,good deal! My 2014 Ram gas water pump at 185 000 km - $ 3 hours labor, pump, belt antifreeze $ 650.00, 2010 dodge Ram 6.7 l diesel, same parts just under $ 600.00, book says both vehicles 3 hours min. Labor plus parts. Changing out a water Pump as pre maintenance you cannot beat yourself up for that one, never heard of it, when it's time it's time unless you are doing a overhaul Rad/ valve's which I am going to have to get set , just over 100,000 mile now., cody had to spend time running the engine as well, getting all the air out so not a bad day I would say. Glad to hear you back on the road Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  22. Ray Funny ,I found that same thread on Friday, cleaned up the thermostat and fingers crossed seems to be working, going to try it on a short trip at the end of the week, if it acts up we have a specialty electronic shop in town that I will take it to and have them have a look, they said they have repaired thermostat before, going to print the thread and take it with me for their review. Thanks Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  23. Thanks for the info Richard, we were going to renew our CAA RV plus but their service is unlike coach net, if you flat out it has to be on a rim and only tow 100 miles,I just sent customer service an email to see if we can be members as Canadian citizens, Thanks Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
  24. Thanks, good luck, it always works out. Wayne 1999 Signature Caesar
