My 05 sig wouldn’t turn the compressor until I un plugged it and jumped a hot and ground to the compressor and once it was spinning it would take a full charge and after fully charged it worked fine. I believe you are unable to charge it if the compressor isn’t running. I am sure more damage is done to these coaches from not being used. paul

I don’t know if my 05 sig castle is the same but I have been having trouble with the low beam staying on. My high beam switches on and off with column lever but low beam light go out and will not come back on. There are wires coming to smart wheel controller in side electrical bay and one of them was scorched. They are labeled high and low beams. I replace smart wheel controller, light switch and still had trouble. Turns out wiggling wiring harness from panel going through to front of coach was a loose connection. Cleaned all grounds and connection worked for me. paul

Jon, I think the trouble might have been in the surge protector I was using. It seems when I plugged directly into the power it worked. I bought a new one and everything is working. thanks

My 2005 sig castle has an oblong mirror detail in the living room and smalller one in the bedroom. One has 3 bolts and 2 for the other. They are under the trim detail and easily reached with a socket extension. The other side is hinged so have someone help hold it. Easy to do with help. paulb

Doe any one have a recommendation for a 50amp surge protector? I have a basic one now and started full timing and think I should up grade. paulb

Maybe someone could help with this. I have only used 50amp shore power in my 05 sig. I moved today and have to use 30 amp for a week. None of my 110 outlets work when I plug in to the 30 amp panel. When I unplug shore power everything works as should. I have only owned coach 5 years so this is new to me. paulb

I had this problem with my 05 sig. turns out nothing but a crack in the plastic return line fitting on the bottom side. Replaced it with a brass fitting and worked as should since. good luck paul b

Craig, would this read engine codes? I have the Aladdin system working fine on Detroit series 60. Would like to be able to read engine codes. Don’t know anything about your system. paul

I recharged mine 05 sig Detroit diesel and the port is in the rear right by the serpentine belt. paulb

My 05 sig Aqua hot shuts down when diesel fuel is down to 1/4 full. Electric heater will still heat minimal water. paul

I might be missing something myself. I am pretty sure the refrigerant for my units was R22. The coach dash air conditioning takes r 134 as my Chevy 2002 trailblazer does. My son in law bought the refrigerant for me. I will ask him tomorrow and correct if I am wrong.

R22 is the older refrigerant. Still available for older cooling units.

I just tapped all three of my units and one used stop leak with a charge of R22, send one was full and third one need a top off. Been working great for 4 months. The taps are 4.50each on Amazon. The stop leak works great. I paid 90 for a tech to climb the roof and check and charge what was needed. 05 sig

I am not sure what steps you have but I had to replace the motor on my 05 sig steps. Started working slowly the often not closing fully. Motor from NAPA, ford Lincoln, thunderbird and cougar pasanger door window motor. 85.00 from Napa. good luck paul

This is the scan code that guy read on my series 60 check engine light. Does anyone know if this is serious? I don’t know what level 1 means. The engine starts and runs good. paul I forgot to attach photos

Ernie, I only have the Aladdin which came with the coach. I usually drive with the engine diagnostic on which reads engine and tranny on a split screen. Rpms, temp, speed, gear, and fuel mileage among other things. It seems to work well. paul

George. I was coming through West Virginia last October it started when I was climbing the long hills and quit descending and after a few hours the check engine stayed on. I might have had the tranny in Economy mode. I couldn’t tell with the light and sunlight. The tranny was stuttering while up shifting but that cleared up ounce we got out of the hills. According to Aladdin engine and tranny never overheated. The red flashing light is on all the time now when running. I can lower the warning noise and put tape over the red light to get by. It never has smoked and doesn’t now. I had a mobile tech come out from San Antonio Monday to read the codes. He seemed competent. He said the was an old code FLUID LEVEL SENSOR which someone on this site had suggested. I had changed that last week. He cleared that old code and it stayed cleared. My coolant is full. My oil is clean, no coolant in it. My tranny is full. It was about 3quarts low which I added a couple weeks ago. I changed tranny fluid and filters a couple years ago, about 15,000 ago. I know cleaners might not resurrect a failed injector but am hopeful I might be able to clean it if not to far gone since no smoke. One of the problems I have with these guys is for 165.00 they stand around, scratch their heads and say they don’t know. The accumulated knowledge on the site is the best resource I have come across. I changed fuel filters, hydraulic filter and fluids all are good. I have not really added any additives so am going to give it a try. thanks Paul

George, I am leaving in a little while and won’t be able to order the optiLube you recommended. I picked up some BG 245 from NAPA. Do you think it would hurt to run it for a tankful till I get to where I will be for a while to order the other product? I also have some DieselKleene with Cetene Boost. Could I run that? I am trying to clean up one injector before it dies. I am leaving on the 16th for about an 750 mile trip and will be parked for another month then. paul
