  1. Could this Hutch Mountain thermostat replace the 5 button thermostat in my 05 Ambassador? It sounds like a simple replacement instead of going to a 7 button. Gary 05 AMB DST
  2. Remember that the rv is 12v and residential thermostats are 24v. The water heater will just take a 120v, 15a timer. I did the timer on the water heater. It took a homemade 12ga extension cord to put it between the outlet and the water heater plug. Gary 05 AMB DST
  3. I would think that a sharp u-turn would put the stress on those tabs. You always try to make it as quick as possible but you may have maxed out the angle at that point and it was trying to bend the tabs. If you have done this a few times, it just adds up. I hope this is understandable. Gary 05 AMB DST

  8. Terry, I used a utility knife and scored the paint on the top and bottom seam. I used #10-16x1 SS self drilling screws.
  9. It's not going to be easy. It shouldn't be rivets, it should be screws into the top metal framing of the side panels where the roof and side panel meet Those screws rust and break behind the removable rubber piece on the molding. I replaced all of my roof screws with SS self-drilling TEK screws. To get to area of separation, first you have to lock the spring on the roller, remove the topper roller and lay it on the roof, bring in the slide to make access to the screws easier. Don't let water run between the trim piece and the roof. It will delaminate the plywood from the outside panel. I've been down that road. That is why you have to check the caulk on the top of the trim piece regularly. I'll get back to you with the SS screw size. Gary 05 AMB DST

  12. Ed, aren't the doors covered with oval holes for air flow? This would jack up the price for a new formed door. Gary 05 AMB DST Ed Sorry, misthought the door in the discussion. Gary 05 AMB DST
