    Rik, I give you so much credit to do that project. Does your 03 have the eight air bag suspension? I'm trying to determine when the Endeavors started with the 8 air bag because my 05 Ambassador was the first year for the 8 air bag. Basically my Ambassador is a downgraded Endeavor with the same platform. Gary 05 AMB DST

    In an earlier discussion about a problem with the slide motor gear box disengage. Where is this disengagement switch that disengages the drive gears from the motor. I have been looking, feeling for this switch if I ever have to return the slide with a wrench. Gary 05 AMB DST

    15 years, time for a new portable supplemental brake. My Roadmaster Evenbrake has passed away. Looked at the new Evenbrake and it isn't a easy connection to the auto's brake light setup. Looking at Blue Ox Patriot 3 brake system. Does anyone have one? Gary 05 AMB DST

    Ray, the brake shoes have a V cut in the shoe. When that V is gone, it is time to replace the shoes. That is how the state truck inspectors judge the life of the brakes. I always thought that was the joint between two brake shoes. Gary 05 AMB DST

    In our ramblin'pushers site, I think it was said that these older (05 down) didn't have the charging ability. A trickle charger is required to jump the trombetta switch. Gary 05 AMB DST

    Chip, I had problems with installers using urethane adhesive with primer. I have found that cleaning the gasket and using a primer before using pure urethane gave a much better structural connection to the body. My 05 Ambassador has a two piece windshield and the upper right corner seems to flex more and sometimes will pull away from the gasket needing a reset. Gary 05 AMB DST

    In my 05 Ambassador owner's manual it gave a replacement time for the coolant filter. Couldn't locate the filter. While in Elkhart, stopped at the Roadmaster chassis factory and asked the manager about it. He told me that the EPA eliminated it for 2005 because it was a environmental hazard. Showed him the owner's manual and he said that the manual is carried over year to year, the elimination of the fuel filter was missed. Gary 05 AMB DST

    My 05 Splendide had a auto door lock that would keep the door locked until the total cycle was done. Somehow I bypassed the lock and can open the door anytime. Gary 05 AMB DST
