There are other threads that are several years old and no clear consensus (of course, every one's 'mileage' varies, right? LOL).  Ours is coming due and would like to get a sense of the Community regarding current thinking on which is preferred.  If it all worked as I think it would, there should be a Poll.

Coachnet starts out very expensive but the rate does come down when you renew, not that I know what the minimum is.
Also, Coachnet was purchased last year and the jury is still out in terms of the level of service and if it will be the same in future years.

Had my first blowout a few months back, was in the middle of nowhere on some backroads. Initial call to coach-net went great, they followed up with me every step of the way and kept me informed. Was back on the road with a new tire in a few hours.

AFTER our $1650 tow bill we joined CoachNet (sigh), but at $250 / yr for 10 yrs we're still ahead of the game.

Last fall I had a gash in a sidewall.  I had a used tire but "Changing of your vehicle's flat tire, delivery of a comparable tire for towing of your vehicle to a repair facility".  I'm not sure what that means.  Another service said they would change a mounted tire but they wouldn't mount a tire onto a wheel.  In that instance I was able to drive (cautiously) to a truck stop and have the tire replaced . . . to a 22 yr old tire!  That got me home, then 6 new tires a few days later.

Haven't contacted CoachNet yet.  Maybe I should retract my vote . . . ?

Thought that's what roadside service did!

Brought a tire..... mounted onto rim...... mounted onto coach🤔

I’ve had Coach-Net for several years and used them once for a tow.  All went exactly as I expected.

As “additional ‘for what it’s worth’ info”, my brother-in-law owns of the biggest large vehicle towing services in the southeast (think 18 wheelers, Buses, Motorhomes, cement trucks) with about 12 wreckers, multiple other specialty two vehicles, and -to the point here- a specialty low-boy “bus trailer” for towing large motorhomes and buses.  He will not take calls for motorhomes from anyone but Coach-Net.  He said “the others” (he didn’t call them by name) try to beat towing companies down on price, then don’t pay on time.  Coach-Net pays agreed pricing and pays promptly.

FMCA Roadside Assistance is very reasonable and has outstanding coverage.

+1 on FMCA. We had two tows within on year of our 45' coach, each of which would have cost us around. $1k (per towing service). I never had to do or sign anything; all taken care of quickly and efficiently. Also includes my wife and cars for no additional cost.

I also have Coach-Net.  I recently signed-up for their Road Hazard Protect program for 6 years.  Total cost for 6 years was $502 or @ $85.00/year.

Hazard Protect Coverage includes:
  • Sign and drive, no deductible
  • Up to 2 tire replacements per year (no limit on cost)
  • Up to 2 wheel damage repairs per year (up to $300 max)
discounted rate of $340 for 1 year or $502 for 6 years

We have had Coach Net for all three of our RVs, 5th wheel, our previous 40' class A and now our Monaco. They changed tires on our 5th wheel 2 times in one night 😂 that's a whole different story. They towed our previous motorhome from RI to MA to repair a fuel line. This one we recently used them for a problem with our air system. The tech helped us get underway and they found us a mobile repair service in remote Colquet Georgia at Christmas time. We have now signed up for their tire replacement. Second call we made after insurance when we purchased our Monaco in August was to Coach Net, wouldn't think of driving without them. Their call in tech service is wonderful also.

We had coach-net on our 2013 Allegro Bus. I had an AC compressor lockup after a stop near Mesquite, NV. Tiffin provided an AC bypass belt with the coach to use in the event of a compressor failure. I wasn't sure if the resulting engine overheat had done any serious damage. I just wanted a service tech to help install the replacement belt, however, if more damage had occurred, I would have needed a tow. Coach-net said that I could have one or the other, however, I could not get a tow if a service tech came first. With that, I chose to have a tow. They sent a big enough truck from St George UT. When he arrived, we installed the shorter bypass belt, (it took three hands) and all was well. I drove into Mesquite for overnight at a Casino. The next morning, we noticed that the right lower corner of the windshield had popped out enough that I could slide my fingers through the opening. It was due to my having to get off the interstate for the belt issue and put some twist to the body. Another call to Coach-net. The rep said that was a common occurrence. He suggested I duct tape the opening shut and proceed to our destination. I did and we traveled 1600 miles home with no issues and had it reseated. This was three years ago. Since they have changed ownership, I can't attest to their service, however, I'm going to sign up with them again even though I already have Good Sams roadside coverage, The cost is a small price to pay when you need help.

Appreciate all who voted and commented. It was very insightful.

We had FMCA for several years on both current and former coach and while we only used twice, it was not a good experience. First time, had a bad tire valve, ended up paying for 2 tires and new valve stems in a rest area but the stems weren’t actually replaced.  Second time was continuation of 1st 4 days later. Long story short IF the tow truck HAD arrived, the place they were going to take us had closed 5 years earlier. Yikes!😬 Just signed up with Coach-Net. We’re hoping for a better experience.  We’ll see, right? Thanks again.
