I too have a 2006 Knight 40 PDQ and put a Samsung RF18 residential refrigerator in my coach.   To remove the Norcold I had to take the doors off to get the rest of the unit through the coach door.

To get the Samsung in I had to remove both captain's chairs, remove the screen door and the entry door.  It was a very tight fit but the frig went in with the doors off and the freezer door removed.

it is definitely a two person job and that entry door is heavier than it looks.

@Knight 40 PLQ thank you and pretty much did as Bykerboy did above except I left my door on and just opened it fully and only removed the passenger chair.  However, I got a little tear in the driver armrest so should've pulled it too. Here's a link to my original write up:

Good luck.

2 or 3 AC’s.  Tiffen, at one time, was offering a 3 AC with W/D in both a 40 and a 38.  Was tempting…. Enjoy!

No aqua hot, 2 furnaces.  Power hose reel is in small compartment in very back. Wet bay is similar to the Diplomat but no cold water faucet.
