  1. Richard, I do exact same thing with our Windsor. But it has the ISL, like your dynasty, with the 2 speed Jake, so the magic spot for it to shift into 6th, is about 62, and that's what I typically cruise at. I'm sure our overall weight is less than you dynasty, but I've averaged just over 8 mpg at that speed. If I slow down to 55, it downshifts into 5th.
  2. Mike, I upgraded my ceiling a few years ago. I don't have a lot of "bling", but have had lots of compliments. My roof air filters are easy to access and change and I wrapped the interior chase of the roof vents in wood. I'm not sure when Monaco raised the ceiling height on your coach model, but take that into your design if you do have the lower ceiling, fortunately, I have the higher ceilings.
  3. Jim, Looks like your looking for battery brand recommendations. I put in (4) 1300 Lion batteries, each at 105 amp hours (these are 12 volt batteries). They are nearly the same size as my old 6 volt batteries. I actually have room to add 2 more lion's, if/when I decide. Costco offers them about 2-3 times a year on this particular battery (Not in their inventory continuously) I believe they have it going on right now, until the end of May. $1399 for 2. Not too bad a price. They do not have internal heaters. They should fit right into your battery tray. Just have to change out the cables and address the charging issues with engine alternator and inverter/charger.
  4. I'm retired, but in my day, I've done 100's of corian/solid surface countertops. All the joints, edge details and undermount corian sinks were glued. Corian is a registered trademark of DuPont and DuPont made their installers use a proprietary 2 part epoxy if they wanted DuPont to warranty it. I never once saw a failure when the correct procedure/product was used, but the houses were not subjected to bouncing down the road either. The guy that did that repair either didn't prepare the surfaces correctly, or used the wrong product, or both. Back then, DuPont would not sell the epoxy to anyone except their network of installers.
  5. Andy, You say this is a new issue and the "water pump leaks at the seam" now. Is there a chance you over pressurized the system from the city water hookup? Do you have a pressure regulator connected at the source? I've seen water pressures in excess of 100-110#'s, and that will damage these coaches. (houses too, for that matter)
  6. Yea, for something like that, HD or lowes are both worthless. Maybe try ACE or TrueValue, (or whomever in your community) but my suggestion of a shower door/glass shop, would be my 1st choice.
  7. Rick, You're correct. You have to rewire pretty much everything. Not easy, quick or cheap. I did mine last year.
  8. Yea, your right. What was I thinking. The 712 BMV only does the DC side. My other Victron components do the AC side.
  9. check out Victron's 712 BMV. You can see information on it's display and it's bluetooth capable. It can also monitor battery temperature as well as engine start batteries. https://www.amazon.com/Victron-Energy-MONITOR-VTBMV-S-BMV-712-Battery/dp/B075RTSTKS?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A2VHGGOHXF24LJ&th=1 I have it paired up with Victron's inverter, cerbo, display monitor, DC/DC charger and a MPPT solar controller.
  10. Yep, can't believe it was 6 years ago, but you're about right. Their website is http://onextreme.com/
  11. Thank you. Yes, it does make sense to relocate it. It's bothered me from day 1. The stain is custom color. I've been doing wood projects on this coach for several years. All my wood is cherry so I took a piece of non finished raw cherry, along with an existing cabinet door and had Sherwin Williams match it. Absolute perfect match. I wouldn't trust lowes or HD to do it. They just use their color scanning tool and their attitude is 'this is as good as it gets'. Now I have a quart of stain and when it gets low, I can call SW, and since they have the formula on file, they mix up a new quart.
  12. Ben, I never thought of that. Usually this thing takes great shots. I know the lighting in that room was kinda poor. I thought it was the loose nut that was holding the phone.
  13. thanks Harry. That picture doesn't give it justice, it makes the wood looks blotchy. The finish is a perfect match, however.
  14. So right Myron!. I don't have the water heater anywhere near it. My issue is Monaco put a big Cummins heat sink right below it.
  15. Finally got the project behind me. I've never liked reaching across the toilet room, bending down to turn on the lights. I wanted to get the switches closer to the doorway. My toilet room is quite small. There is just no room to move the switch unless you put in on the wall, but it's just too close to the sink for my comfort. Water splashing on the key pad was a big concern. Only way to get it closer to door was to put it up higher on wall, which is fine by me. Since Monaco put in wall blocking (similar to fire stops in stick built house), mainly to attach back splashes to wall, it took a little creativity to get the new wires to location I wanted Had to dismantle interior upper cabinet to install the new wire runs as I didn't want anything visible. Took about 8 hours over 3 days to get everything finished, but happy with results. Wish I took more pictures.
  16. Tom, I believe your correct, but I've never heard it called the "mini". Makes sense, though. Mine controls only lights and the water pump. No shades, fans, slides or anything else. It gets power from the intellitec EMS. On my other thread, which I'll update, I did move the toilet room switches to another location. Same switches, same functions, just a different location. It was simple to extend the wires. While I was chatting with Paul, he said it would be 'easy' if I ever wanted to add another switch plate at some other location and program each individual switch. Just splice in the wires and run them to the new location, program a switch pad to the light of your choice. Boom! Done! Hard part is finding the switches/switch board itself. Maybe @pwhittle can comment on any 'mini CPU', these beast have, but I don't believe it's in my coach. There is really nothing for me to 'back up'. Paul did offer to re-program my individual switch plates, but as I mentioned earlier, not real high priority right now.
  17. @Bill R Glad you got that pesky non-op switch working. I am fortunate, my multiplex has worked pretty well over the years. I did have to replace the main board once and I'm convinced that was caused by excessive heat in the back closet where those electronics are housed. @myrontruex (I think it was Myron) had a great solution to ventilate that area, but got his butt chewed on IRV2 at least once when he posted about it.. But I liked the idea. You and I could purchase a wrecked '06 and make good use of the parts off of it. I had a great phone chat with @pwhittle (Thank you Paul!) about multiplex system, then it moved into headlights, cameras, and I forget what all. It's good to know both he and Frank can program these systems, if needed. My OCD hasn't kicked in enough to send keypads to them to reprogram each button position to make it a little more consistent and sensible to me. But I'm tempted.
  18. To get an accurate price, IMO, you need to have them quote it for you. Some coaches have center rollers. My rear PAX slide has 4 rollers, so I needed 4 guardian plates. Some slides only need 2. I installed myself and wasn't a really difficult project. Accurate measurements are important. They will walk you through it.
  19. I just finished removing the lower carpeted piece in one of my cabinets. My problem was the bottom was installed before the side walls, so the side walls were sitting on top of the carpet. Both sides had to come out first. A stiff putty knife and patience. Everything was pin nailed down.
  20. @pwhittle I'd be interested in learning about backing up my system as well. Tried a PM, but looks like your box is full again.
  21. I hope you meant 'bowl'. Otherwise I'm not sure how you'd do that! lol
  22. Tom, You were right on. The only difference is the pigtails. The red/yellow/black wired one is the main controls for this switch. The pigtail with the purple wire controls the momentary water pump switch in wet bay. Thanks for the help and insight. My son's new 5ver/toy box, is that way. Helped him with some non electrical issues. But I couldn't find the switches for interior lights just so I could see. Turns out, it's on the display touch pad on the wall or on his IPad.
  23. thanks Ben. So you also have to reach across the room to turn on the lights when you walk in.. But yours are up higher. We've got to bend over to see the switches that are mounted in the lower cabinet (basically where your night light is). Like I said, perfect when your on the toilet, but that's it!
  24. I'm struggling with the best location for the pad. That room is pretty small, I'd like to put it on the wall next to the sink, but I'm concerned about water splashing on it. Maybe up high? Anybody post some pictures of your switch location in that toilet room? I could put it on the wall, directly outside the door- in the hall. Not too convenient if you're using the toilet and forgot to turn on the water pump, however.
