  1. Sounds like I may be wrong about shutting the system off, shuts the pump off as I leave the manual switch I have in the off position. Have enough of a leak… probably in the 6 pack, that it would definitely wake us up at night. I would add a relay with the auto reset breaker on the load side, and run 2 small wires to a switch inside so you do not have to go outside to shut it off.
  2. When I store our 08 Navigator, I lower it to the stops and turn the system off by pressing the power button. Do the same thing after leveling so the pump doesn’t come on although I have a on/off switch for the aux pump on the drivers side console too.
  3. Our 08 Navigator has a on/off switch on the driver’s side console. You can also turn it off by shutting the system down.
  4. Your 07 uses the multiplex system to control the slides and I assume the jacks… our 06 & 08 Navigators do not have jacks. I started a thread on multiplex problems and solutions on IRV2 but cannot access it since I’ve been banned. I searched “ivylog irv2 multiplex problems” but can’t copy the link for you. Often, doing a reboot (shutting the 12v power off) to the multiplex, gets the bits lined up. A problem that persists is often a grounding problem.
  5. Easy enough to increase the HP of 250+ HP mechanical 8.3 which has a bigger turbo and bigger injectors than engines that are less than 250HP. A different profile fuel plate is the main item… I grounded my own based on this picture or a complete kit: https://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-9372-tst-power-kit-cummins-83-6cta
  6. Price of lumber will not come down until the demand decreases. Loggers are still limited on how many days they can sell their logs and that price has not gone up. During the 10 year downturn, many mills went out of business and the equipment was sold…much of it sold to countries were labor costs are lower. A new mill costs $millions and takes 3+ years to build IF the permitting is easy. Will this bubble last another 3 years? Not likely so doubt any new mills will be built.
  7. Fifty year’s ago a Millionaire was a rich person…unfortunately today it takes being a multi-millionaire because of inflation. This has been caused by both parties deficit spending… we are still paying interest on the debt from WW2 as rarely have we had even a balanced budget. I remember when a 6% interest rate was considered a good rate and today’s 3% is artificially low. Pretty sure it’s not IF inflation is ahead so will our debt payments double or even triple? Some economists say once we go over $30T owed, the game is over. Because of an agreement with Saudi Arabia in 1972, everything to do with the production, transportation, and sale of oil is done in US dollars…Petro dollars. Other countries have to buy our dollars so they can buy oil, artificially holding up the value of the US dollar. China is already circumventing system and pushing to be the “Reserve Currency”. We can survive higher inflation, even Carter levels but unfortunately, it’s not IF, but when China becomes the Reserve Currency and that’s when it really hits the fan. I do not see a good ending with China having the “Favored Nation” status.
  8. Question by Ken was “the front passenger side topper does not have a cover”… no half circle aluminum cover over the roller/fabric. I’ve had to carefully adjust my patio awnings (mounted to the raised rail) so the lateral arm on one end hits the aluminum cover on the slide topper when out. While I like having 40’ of awnings, without doing this, there isn’t enough slope to the awnings to shed water… front one to the front and back one to the rear.
  9. Helped a friend (03 Sig) take a NoCold out the door without removing the chair or removing the door stop …2 people . Took 3 to bring a Samsung in…did cover the chair with some canvas to protect it.
  10. All the big Monaco’s, HR’s, Beaver’s since around 2003 have been 9”.
  11. Main advantage is it covers the fabric when the slide is closed. Replacing the fabric more often will be cheaper than trying to find one.
  12. Tried to find the spare wires on our 04 Dynasty, found the ones in the dash but could not find where they were in the back of the coach. Gave up and mounted the brake controller in the engine compartment (took 45 minutes) and then a year later, behind the rear run box, I found the four wires connected to a white plug….same as in the dash near the steering column.
  13. Inflation has been alive and growing for years. Will the rate increase…YES! You can add 7+% to the “official” inflation rate… limits how much our SS increases. Friend runs a gas station and 2 years ago I could buy gas for 18 cents/gallon paying in 1964 and older 90% silver coins. Today it’s even less as the value of silver has doubled while gas has gone up 50%… closer to 13 cents. That’s how much the $ has declined in 57 years. Bought a new machine before Christmas (2nd one in 50 years) because the year end closeout price was good and had the money sitting in the bank doing nothing. Figure I can sell it in 2 years for what I paid. Finally the “news” is talking about inflation…duh, you can’t print Trillions of $ without inflation and pay people not to work without prices going up. Will it reach the Carter years… hopefully not for our kids and grands futures.
  14. The foam seal is about 1” square with sticky on one side. Like above you’re better off attacking it to the metal flange, not the plastic top.
  15. Interesting that our 04 Dynasty (owned for 14 years) and our 08 Navigator (owned for 3 years) didn’t have those problems although I haven’t had the covers off the 3 ACs on the Navigator as they cool well. Agree the foam seals are critical for good operation. Frank, do you know when your 08 as built? Ours was 10/2007.
  16. If you are stuck, it will take some serious blocking to keep the jack from just pushing into the ground. Although you should have nylon straps between the MH’s frame and the drive axle’s H frame, doubt a jack will have enough travel to lift the axle.
  17. 13 turns but unless you loosen a end bolt it’s probably a broken spring. Easy enough to replace the spring and while you are up there, I would remove the fabric (if more than 8 years old) and have all the seams re-sewn as the thread usually gives up at 10 years. The smaller slides (those that only go out 20”) have enough unused fabric that I cut off the old fabric and sew the large plastic rod back in…. good for another 10 years.
  18. Try lowering the temperature a couple degrees when it stay running and see if it keeps running. Mine will and this rules out it being a power/Intelitec issue. Theres nothing wrong with the unit… the Tstat is turning it off. All 3 heat pumps are original on our 04 Dynasty that did the same on the BR unit until I messed with the remote temperature sensor. Having the sensor clear of everything and the clamp further back from the end seemed to help.
  19. I’ve read much the same for voltages plus for extended storage, 6 months, you want them at 60% or even 50% SOC to keep the positive post from being damaged.
  20. Several years ago I added a manual disconnect switch to the wire that energizes my BigBoy relay to decrease its amp draw when dry camping…switch extends out the bottom of the rear run box. Just ordered a $12 WiFi relay to go in parallel with this switch so I do not have to go outside to put the BigBoy back in the system. Decided on the one below as it appears to have an antenna wire that I can run outside of the metal rear run box for better reception.
  21. Chris, thanks for a good breakdown of what’s happening. Supposedly NADA prices are just a percentage adjustment based on age… not based on sales. Currently the prices on 06-08 Monaco Exes, Sigs, and HR Navigators values (only ones I check) are back up to what they were 3 years ago.
  22. Friend just bought two group 31s for his Sig’s engine at ORiley for $127 each… maintenance free. Been using AGMs for the house but price of Lithium cells have come down enough to make them cheaper than AGMs if you build your own batteries plus probably 5X the cycles. I just finished building 600AH for $1200 including BMSs.
  23. Took the one like your picture out, measured diameter of the hole and found ones on Ebay that would fit. Not sure these are the ones I used... but something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/274758617597?hash=item3ff8e3c9fd:g:7nYAAOSwy09geWMh
  24. I only go 10 years out of the chassis batteries (2 group 31 Interstates maintenance free) in our 04 dynasty... actually got another 3 years out of them in a 24V machine. No need for AGM chassis batteries.
