  1. Remember that your backup camera needs power to work. there should be a set of rca cables that will plug into your radio for camera and Aladdin
  2. No more wiring. It is all complete and ready to go. You just have to find it. I highly recommend labeling the wires when you find them. Mine were all messed up.
  3. The Panasonic could have the cameras or the Aladdin on it. replacing the stereo is actually pretty simple. You do need to take the entire dash out though. Be careful as it is just plastic that is 30 years old and there is some weight to all the electronics.
  4. All the camera inputs go into a switcher box and then there is a cable google out. It is the same one that went to the original Panasonic display. Do you have your wiring schematics, it is all in there.
  5. All cameras run through a switcher and only use one cable. When I have the cameras on the left and right work with the blinkers. Reverse camera takes over when in reverse. There is a box in the dash in front of the passenger side.
  6. I can have the Aladdin and the gps going at the same time. It just puts the Aladdin in the small screen on bottom. If you look at the first pic I can switch between Aladdin and cameras in the one on the bottom right. Where it says no input is where the gps from my phone would be. I have 2 video ins on that unit so I put the camera and the Aladdin. My sony screen quit on me, I have a replacement that I need to put in, and I would like to use that for my Aladdin and then have my cameras on the stereo unit. Or vice versa depending on what I need to pay attention too.
  7. I installed a pioneer head unit. NEX something. About $1100 for the unit. I also I talked a USB in the dash so I could plug in and charge my phone.
  8. I upgraded mine in my 2003 signature. I spent more than you are looking to spend but I checked out the Boss head units. I think they will work as long as you have video in capability and the ability to control what the screen is showing in the way of inputs. I also bought a wiring work around for the park brake so it would show video at all times. I can listen to radio, have Bluetooth for the phone, watch my Aladdin and can switch to all cameras. There is a rats nest of wires under the dash and I spent 2 days figuring them all out and going through the wiring schematic to track them all down and get them to the right place.
  9. Moderators EDIT. This topic was merged with an older one that had a lot of pertinent information. It is suggested that an additional search of topics using delamination be used. Number of hits with topics that had many replies or posts Original Post The sun was shining right the other day and I noticed a spot that looked like it had a bubble behind it. I went and pushed on it and sure enough it had separated from the wood. The area is just above where the power cord comes in. It stops on the top at what looks like a cross brace and goes down to just above the belt line. About the color change, delamination is area in tan. I can access the back of this area from inside the bedroom closet. 2 questions One: I had the coach sealed up by a reputable company a year ago and if water was coming in from the top you would think that the delamination would be up above as well. Any idea where the water could be coming from? Two: If I drill holes through the plywood from the inside of the wall and inject glue into the void. Apply pressure from the inside and the outside. Do you think this would work to fix the problem?
  10. I had it done a year ago. Has been amazing. My fan was running wide open for no apparent reason. Would work fine for a half hour and then run for an hour, maybe 2 or 3, then would go back to normal. The fan running killed my mileage, made it hard to use the exhaust brake because it performed so differently, and was annoying as all get out because of how loud it was. Wax valve fixed it all. I took it to premier rv in junction city and I am pretty sure they sent it to Source to get fixed. Good investment.
  11. Anybody who does their own oil changes use the Costco heavy diesel oil? At less than $10 a gallon it seems pretty reasonable but have not heard much about it in big motors. Definitely not worth the money saved if it cannot protect the big ISX!! Thanks
  12. There is no way to remove them other than to take the dash out again. I put them in when I replaced the dead radio head unit. So, another question. All I did when I put those in was to take the wiring off of the cigarette lighters and connect it to the usb inserts. Why would that cause my voltage to spike or appear to spike or cause my monitor and VCM to go wonky? I understand the basics of electronics but this one has me baffled.
  13. So, I checked the voltage at the batteries and all is well. 13.6 volts. Each battery has its water topped off so all is good there as well. Engine running or not running does not make a difference on batteries or the weird voltage. What do I check next? I would really like to not tear the dash out again as I don’t know how many more times it can take it before it just falls apart. I can’t believe it has lasted this long with it just being plastic and supporting all that weight. Thank you for the ideas.
  14. I have not had a chance to hit anything with the multimeter yet as I left it at home on my workbench in my shop today. The other weird thing is my Sony monitor for the back up camera starts to scramble every time the voltage goes above 15 volts. If it drops below that the picture is clear. Above that it scrambles and will shut off when the reading is over 17 volts. 🤷‍♂️ I have 2 of them and they both read within .1 volt of each other. My Sony monitor will not even turn on now which effects my VCM ability to work correctly.
  15. 2003 Monaco Signature 42 Triple Crown, 525 ISX. I appear to have an electrical gremlin somewhere but I need help understanding what is going on. About a year ago I installed some USB outlets in the dash where the cigarette lighters were. I installed the ones that read the voltage going to them and have a little display on them. I got into the coach this morning for a short run of 45 miles each way on a day trip. As I headed down the interstate the USB chargers started climbing in voltage. Finally settling on 27.2 volts after climbing for about 10 minutes. I get where I am going and shut her off. Sitting here and the volts are at 22.3. My VCM is reading 13.9 while driving and never gets above 14.2. Any ideas on what could possibly be going on? I don’t want to burn out any electronic pieces in the coach. I also don’t know how where to start looking. I turned the salesman switch off and on and it made no difference. Thank you in advance.
  16. I got one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Converter-Adapter-Composite-Supports-Chromecast/dp/B07BBSQ83R I plugged the red and white into the Bose surround and the yellow video into my switcher box. I plug an apple TV into the HDMI and that is what I do the streaming from. I have tried and tried to get the Bose to work with the tv using Optical sound cables and plugging in the mini jack on the tv to the Bose. Nothing worked well for me other than this.
  17. That is the area where our sub woofer is mounted too.
  18. When we went on our first real trip last summer I tried to find #2 every time on advice from a buddy who owns a trucking company. Unfortunately #2 is harder to find in different places in the country than it is in Oregon. After putting on over 1,500 miles and running 3 tanks of bio during this time my fuel lift pump started dumping fuel one morning in Montana on start up. Had it replaced, gasket was leaking. Was this because of the bio, who knows. Maybe the previous owner hadn't run much lately but I know bio reacts differently in hoses and gaskets. My guess was it was the bio. I have a 2003 ford diesel pickup and have seen similar things as people describe above. Plugged filters from it cleaning the tank, loss of mileage etc. Older engines it can ruin fuel lines as well.
  19. I had a beeping alarm from the same general area. It was coming from some kind of short in the keypad. The keypad had gotten water in it. The disconnected and all was good. I never used the keypad anyway.
  20. Dennis, I just got done installing a Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX into my girl last weekend. I chose this unit, while spendy, because it is single DIN, has a large monitor and most importantly has 2 RCA video ins for it. I was able to plug my camera system into the backup camera RCA and then plug the feed from the Alladin into the AUX RCA. I can watch them on the Pioneer monitor and they function pretty good. I will try and get some pics. I would love to get rid of the Sony monitor, or at least have it work again, but I need the power it provides to run the cameras. The best part, it was pretty much plug and play. I just cut the old wires and spliced in the new and everything works exactly as it did before.
  21. I am following very carefully. I just got all my cameras to work but am now having problems with getting my Sony monitor to display and the picture quality is very shaky. Question for you Scotty, if I don't have my Sony monitor powered on I get no camera feed from any of the S video or RCA cables. I assume that is what feeds the power to the cameras. How did you get the power to the cameras in your system?
  22. What a shame. It could be a diamond in the rough or it could be a total nightmare. I guess it just depends on how much of a gambling man you are. It looks like some electrical components have been removed, most likely torn out. Who knows how much wiring damage there is behind the walls.
  23. I agree with Dennis, Shark Bite fittings are the way to go. More expensive but they make me a 10 times better plumber!! The ease of use is amazing and they work on different types of pipe as well, brass, PEX, cpvc etc. Having the ability to pull it apart to make future repairs or if something does not fit just right is worth the extra cash. Knock on wood but I have yet to have any fail and I used them exclusively for the top out in my house 12 years ago.
  24. My Interstate chassis batteries were made in 06/15 and I just replaced them. One was off gassing and I believe it blew up when they were welding in the bung for the wax valve, nobody will tell me for sure. Anyway, I put two group 31 batteries back in there. I thought I was getting Interstate batteries but they are Centennial, I had to have them ordered so I was not going to refuse them. They were $149.95 each out the door. We will see how long they make it.
  25. HMM. Any idea what the Infrared is for? I have it pointed out in the dash layout in the wiring book but when it gets time to look at the back of the panel in the book it no longer has it in there. I am thinking that VCR or the Panasonic might be the best bet. The Alladin does not go through it, and I have video from my cameras. I am thinking I am just going to take it out. Any idea why the Panasonic head unit would be grounded to a screw in this thing? Sorry for all the questions, I am getting deeper into a simple project than I ever intended. The wife asked if she should even come in and look at what I was doing or not and I had to hesitate. She saw it, gave the look of "what have you gotten yourself into" and then walked away.
