  1. The sending unit is no more than a variable resister with one end connected to ground through the sensing unit and the there end connected to the insulated terminal on the sending unit which is connected to the "S" terminal on the analogue gauge. The only way that the analogue gauge could read backward would be if the polarity would have to been reversed on the gauge, This could have happen when they were troubleshooting the problem. Also make sure that the pointer on analogue gauge is position on the correct side of the mechanical stop on the gauge face. When I was changing the oil pressure sending unit on my coach I had the pointer jump to the wrong side of the mechanical stop and the pointer couldn't move. I had to drill a small hole in the back of the instrument and flip the pointer on the opposite of the mechanical stop. Jim Jim
  2. When I checked with Webb a couple of years ago they informed me that the 65555B was no longer in production and they didn't have an alternative drum. Mine wasn't tunable do to heat cracks and deep groove that exceeded max. ID.
  3. Attached is a spreadsheet for the dimensions for a Webb 65555B drum and the one I installed on my Holiday Rambler Endeavor. The bolt hole diameter is a bit larger however spacers are available. Price for drum was $129 and free freight from FIND IT PARTS on line Spacer were about $40, can't remember where I purchased them, it was on line Hope this will help. Jim Brake Drum Comparison.xlsx
  4. Point S in Astoria OR. is a good place to buy your new tires. Jim
  5. If you only issue is a little smoke on startup and it's not using oil you should be good to go. I would have a compression check and injectors cleaned before I would be thinking about an overhaul. Jim
  6. Reading 24 volts with batteries in parallel is not normal, If you have the manual for your ME2012 there is a trouble shooting section that may help you identify your problem.
  7. The REV group will provide you with a BUILD SHEET for specific vehicle if you provide them the VIN number for that vehicle.
  8. The inverter provided 120v AC to dedicated circuits when shore power or generator sources are unavailable.
  9. Many electronic products will not perform properly on inverters that produce a modified sine wave output such as your inverter/charger.
  10. Most any local sheetmetal should be able tofabricate a basement storage door and body shop will be able to paint. Jim
  11. On my 04 Holiday Rambler Endeavor with ALCOA wheels 425 ft lbs.
  12. Most likely your problem is the pressure switch that is located on the Parking Brake Valve. It can be found directly below the knob that applies and releases parking brake. This a common failure and they are readily available at any parts store that carry long hauls commercial truck parts. Jim
  13. Zingman 64 has stated the roller rotates and the fabric gets loose. Jim
  14. Thanks for the clarification, Most likely one gas struts has failed and remaining one doesn't provide capability to extend the awning. It could also be it just stuck and need a little assistance to manually pulling from the top when trying to extend it. Once you get it extended you will be able to disconnect one end of one gas struts to determine if is good, you will have to check each strut independently. Hope this helps to solve your problem. Jim
  15. Please clarify "SPINS" does this mean that the roller rotates and it doesn't extend or does it mean that you hear it running and no movement of the roller. Ji,
  16. I damages one of my basement doors, I took it to a sheet metal shop and they made one, He was able the damaged one as a sample of required material and design. Took it to a body shop for the painting. Total coast around $1500, Jim
  17. Glad you resolved the problem. It may be frustrating at times but is rewarding when you fix the problem. Jim
  18. My coach came with the BIG BOY but it would only combine the coach and chassis battery banks when you manually presses the switch on the dash. The coach batteries didn't get any charging when driving down the road unless you had you generator running to supply power to the inverter/charger. I never had the problem until I replaces the BIG BOY with an ACR, Jim
  19. One our coach (04 Holiday Rambler Endeavor) the alternator trouble WARNING light will come on. When you have both charging devices (chassis alternator and coach inverter/charger in the charge mode) connected to a common battery the voltage regulator of the two charging circuits are not designed for this configuration.
  20. I replaced the gasket on my neighbors 5th wheeler, it was a pretty simple job, His came with the large rectangular piece and a 6" strip of the same material. I had to cut the strip into 4 square pieces to place where the hold down bolts penetrate the roof that are located outside the parameter of the main gasket. He just ordered his from Amazon, I think it was around $25.
  21. Actually I have 2 brother-in-laws with coaches that have the 5.9 ISB, The one with a freight liner chassis (1999 freightliner chassis has the fuel pump is mounted by the ECM and he got towed in twice because of fuel problems (low voltage to fuel pump) His fuse is in battery compartment was found corroded. The other one just purchased his (04 Roasmaster chassis) and has had no problem and hasn't had need to locate fuel pump, he did look for fuse location and he couldn't find in manuals, manual did state that additional fuses were located in battery compartment. He did locate several in battery compartment and he believes they are engine related, because one was clearly identified as ECM, other ones were not readable.
  22. The part # that you listed is the hi pressure pump. You could start from the fuel tank and follow the fuel line to the engine to see if you can find the electric pump. Since your rig is 04 I'm still thinking that you will find it in the take, my reasoning is based that by this time that's were Dodge Rams were placing them. The fuel pump location may be a mystery. The chassis manufactures deliver them to the RV manufacturer as a drive-able unit, I know the fuse on my brother-in-laws 04 Holiday Rambler with the same engine is located in the battery compartment and they are poorly labeled and the wiring is a rats nest,
  23. You are correct, the ISB electric fuel pump run continuously and is the only low pressure fuel pump. The fuel system is the same as use on like years of the Dodge Ram trucks.
  24. If I were a betting man, i say the fuel pump was in the tank. you should be able to trace the wiring to the top of the the fuel tank. If the pump is in the tank you should find several wires going in the tank. I lead you wrong on the location of the fuel pump is on the engine, it would be on the opposite of the exhaust and turbo. I was think of location in a Dodge Ram. Before I was too eager to drop the tank you need to locate the fuse for the fuel pump, On my 04 Holiday Rambler with an 8.3 ISC Cummins, it't located in the battery compartment. In my rig there are in-line fuses and they aren't very well labeled. Jim Jim
  25. The 12 valve engines had mechanical fuel pumps. I believe all of the 24 valve engines have electric fuel pumps. The first 24 valve engines were seen in motor homes around the 1999 model year. The electric pumps run continuously on these engines, when they completely fail you are dead in the water. On the early 24 valve engines the electric fuel pumps were located on drivers side of the engine. Jim
