  1. Does this make sense? 1. These "coils" are basically solenoids similar to the ones used for the air leveling system, correct? When power is applied the coils pull the valve out, opening the valve so that hydraulic fluid can flow through , opening or closing the slide. Agree? 2. If #1 is true, then if I can identify the solenoid that operates the slide "extend" flow, I can open/loosen the extend valve "T" Handle/Valve release nut, then press the out switch, and the pump will allow the hydraulic fluid to flow to open the slide out. 3. If you agree, then I can do this to open the slide until I can replace the solenoid. Of course I can also swapped solenoids to achieve the same thing, but opening the "T" valve seems easier. 4. Anyone know where I can order the solenoids, or have part numbers? Does this make sense, or am I missing something? I was planning to try this later today when we reach our destination if you all think it makes sense. Thanks, Bill
  2. I don't think my 2001 has a control board. I know from experience that when the outside door is open, nothing happens. No power, no noise, no anything. In this case I don't think it is the outside doors. Thanks, Bill
  3. Wow, that's a surprise. You need a wrench to check the fluid level. I suspect the fluid is probably fine, based on other intel, but thanks for the education. Bill
  4. Good Point Brad. I appreciate your taking the time to provide good input , thanks. I think you might be hitting on something. If it is the coil, anyone know where to get one, quick 🙂 Thanks
  5. Another question. Where do I check the hydraulic fluid for the Slide/GEN? I think I have found the oil reservoir, and the vent cap on top. It has four coils connected, with the pump, on the side of the reservoir, but when I turn the vent cap on top, it just turns and turns, like it is not threaded. Do I just pry it off, or is there some other place to check the hydro fluid? I have 2 slides, one LR that is hydraulic and the bedroom slide, which is mechanical (motor/gear driven).
  6. I think this is a picture of the hydraulic valves, correct? Tomorrow I will use a screw driver and see if they are working, by seeing if the coils "magnetize" when I press the slide and GEN in/out button. Good Idea Brad. They only question I have is: If the slide does not come in, or out, wouldn't that mean two coils are bad? Thanks, Bill
  7. Coil? I'm not familiar with a coil holding the slide. Please educate me. Slide does not budge, or even move one IOtA when button pushed either way.
  8. I think you are on to something. The sound I hear sounds like the oil is being bypassed, which is why I think it is stuck or locked. How can I undo the travel lock?
  9. I checked the bypass valves to sure all are tight (4, I think one for in, one for out for the GEN and for the slide). Feel free to correct me if my assumption is wrong, but since the pump runs and GEN goes in and out, the fuse must be good? Having said that, I did find 2 fuses and both were good. Thanks Bill
  10. Pulled in to campground and can't get the Main/LR Slide to move in or out. RV is level. When pushing LR slide switch I can hear the normal sound as if it was moving, but no motion. My LR slide is hydraulic and uses the same hydraulic system as the GEN uses. GEN comes in and out just fine. Since GEN works, I feel like the hydraulic part of the system is working, and the sound I hear when pressing the button in/out is the normal hydraulic sound I hear when it worked fine. It's like the slide is stuck and the hydraulic fluid is going in bypass mode because the slide is not able/wanting to move. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can convey. Bill USN Retired
  11. I’ve seen a couple suggestions of places to look. Would anybody happen to have a picture of what I’m looking for?
  12. I did replace my dash plate this last year had to disconnect the wires to the AC controller. But I have double checked and triple checked them and wiggled them since this problem started so I don’t think it’s the dash control. I do have a set of gauges if somebody could tell me what they should read when it’s normal that would sure be appreciated. I’m not a AC expert just a hacker
  13. Good Day, and thank you for taking the time to review my issue. I can't get my coach A/C compressor to engage (dash set to MAX A/C). I could not find any fuses in the outside fuse panel below the driver’s seat. In the engine compartment I found a reset-a-ble fuse OK and replaced the relay, just in case (both are labeled A/C clutch). I'm not sure where else to look at the moment. I checked the freon, added one can, and with the filling cord trigger released, it reads green, indicating it has enough freon. I hate to add any more, in an attempt to get the compressor to engage, for fear of over filling it with freon. I looked at the compressor for wiring and only found one wire going to it. Is this normal (here is a pic). Should I read ground or 12v at this wire? Any help would be appreciated as we live in FL and the warm season has started. Thanks, Bill USN Retired
  14. I installed the 360 degree Bird View Camera by SZDalos (as suggested by several members) and noticed a delay in the time a car passes me and the time I actually see it on the monitor. I also noticed that a vehicle sitting next to me at a stop light is physically located at a little different location than is being displayed on the monitor (I think it was farther ahead of me than was displayed on the monitor, but the location might have been behind be more than the monitor displayed, I've only driven the RV on one short trip to the shop so far). Has anyone else experienced something similar? Thanks, Bill
  15. This pic shows where to measure the ride height.
  16. You wanna make sure your RV is level going down the road. For example mine has the auto leveling airbag system. When it is not working properly it’ll pull in one direction or the other depending on which which side is lower
  17. Thanks for sharing. When I’m in the market I’ll definitely look up these
  18. Sorry to hear about your wife Scotty. Sending thoughts prayers your way. Bill
  19. I see what you mean Chuck B about "Good luck with Tadi Brothers. ". I chatted, called and even tried to order the cable they advertise on their web site, but every one I talked to said they don't carry it, so go away. The little video that the company shows says if we don't have it we will make it, there is no body we can't help. I think that is a bunch of BS. I tried the other recommended web site but still not luck finding the right cable.
  20. Does anyone know if there is an adapter to go from the old Sony Backup camera/monitor cable to RCA, HDMI, or? Here are a coupe pics of the old Sony cable and one of the monitor I would like to plug my old backup camera in to. I need to convert the Sony cable to one of the options on my new monitor. Thanks
  21. Bob S, Did you replace your airbags yourself or did you have somebody do it? If you had somebody do it how much was it per airbag to do?
  22. R.Clarke R, are you still interested? I forgot to find out shipping for you but will do it if you are still interested. Bill
