  1. Is your ice maker located in the fridge compartment versus the freezer? Is it a top fridge bottom freezer layout? My Samsung at home which is a 23 cu/ft fridge has the ice maker in the fridge compartment located on the left side. It is that way with fridges that provide water and ice through the left side door. The ice maker gets frozen up occasionally due to the flapper on the exit port on the door not closing tightly. So, I have to clean that opening every so often. Also, we only make ice to fill the bin, then we turn it off until the next cycle. That procedure seems to have minimized the ice maker getting frozen up inside.
  2. Not a clue, sorry. However, when Googling your toilet I did see one listing that had a breakdown of parts for the Tecma toilet. I would start there, then possibly read some blogs from people who have done the job. I am not a fan of any macerator. Thankfully, the macerator that came on our Dynasty from the factory was gone when we purchased the coach last year. I prefer the "whoosh" affect with the 3 inch Slinky's.
  3. It is hard finding good reliable diesel mechanics these days. They are either too old or dead. Sometimes it;s just better to do the repair ourselves. That way we have only ourselves to blame.
  4. When viewing various ISM-500 engines removed from RV's on the Visone web site, none of them have what you are describing. Therefore it appears that the fuel filter you are referring to is not stock from the factory. https://rvchassisparts.visonerv.com/cgi-bin/f/cumminsdieselmotors.pl
  5. Not true! The furnace or Aqua-Hot functions through the control board located in the roof AC using the data cables. Without that control board the furnace will not function. The Houghton Rooftop AC's are a good replacement providing that your current AC system is a standalone system controlled with either a 4 or 5 button CCC and your furnace is controlled by a completely different and separate thermostat.
  6. Dwight, Based on the 40 SFT Floor-plan, your toilet is mid-ship but I cannot tell where your Black Tank is located. If the toilet id over the Black Tank then there is no reason to have a Tecma macerator toilet. You are basically macerating the waste twice. Once going in and again going out. My guess is that they have placed the Black Tank some distance from the toilet preventing you from having a gravity toilet. If in fact the toilet room is directly over the Black Tank then I would switch out the Tecma toilet for a high quality ceramic gravity toilet that is quiet to use such as the Sealand Concerto Toilet. The 2007 Monaco Diplomat Brochure states that your toilet is a Thetford Tecma Silence Plus Toilet. I guess it is not so silent any longer, EH! Maybe it is in need of rebuilding to return it to its original "silent" status.
  7. I have a very different opinion of Samsung than yours. The Samsung RF-197 installed in my previous Windsor has been running non-stop for 11 years. Not sure when the Samsung RF-197 was installed in our now 2006 Dynasty but it has had to be there for possibly the same number of years or close to it. Plus we have a larger Samsung fridge installed in our winter house in Florida back in 2016 when we purchased the house. The only problem I had was remedied back in 2012 with the one in the Windsor with the replacement of the main fridge compartment Defrost Clip with a larger one. We had water collecting under the crisper bins. That work was done under warranty by a local Samsung service department. After purchasing the Dynasty, I removed the back panel and installed the larger Defrost Clip into that fridge also before using it so I wouldn't have any problem in the future.
  8. Dwight, Is this toilet in the rear of the coach or is possibly a second toilet? Usually the floor-plans have a gravity toilet placed over the the Black Tank and a macerator toilet in the rear or in a second bathroom at the rear which has to macerate the waste in order to get it to the Black Tank. Not much help in solving your noise problem and I sympathize with you. I had a Thetford Aria II installed in the Windsor we owned previously which always sounded like a farmer's thrashing machine when used. Got rid of that and installed a Sealand Magnum Opus Toilet that has been trouble-free and QUIET from the very first day of use. The Magnum Opus toilet in our Dynasty is so quiet you can barely hear it flush.
  9. Dexter, Not so sure "plastic on wood" is correct. There should not be any exposed wood on the bottom of your slide. The plastic that they are referring to is the "glide bar" that is attached to the edge of the flush floor. What happens is over time, the aluminum covering on the bottom of your slide starts to wear on the ends leaving marks or even breaking through the aluminum covering. The aluminum plates that they install will prevent any more damage to occur and allow the slide to roll in and out easier. I had a set of those plates installed on my previous Windsor back in April 2015 at their shop while on our way to Alaska. The main Flush-Floor Salon Slide on both the Windsor and our current Dynasty operate that way. That's why I recently had Guardian Plates installed on my Dynasty at Talin RV to prevent any damage occurring to the bottom of the slide. Actually some previous owner had some extremely thin sheet metal installed at the ends which had to be removed as they were JUNK with one end nearly falling off if it wasn't for the two screws holding it there plus the Gorilla tape I had on it. You will be very happy with their work as they are one of the few experts located on the west coast.
  10. Joel. So sorry to hear of your predicament and damage to your coach. You never know what any insurance company may or may not do when it comes to totaling a vehicle. It's really up to them. When I purchased my 2006 Saturn Vue back in 2008 it had been totaled out and purchased by an individual who rebuilt it and had it for sale (salvage title) for $7500. The current book value at the time was twice that, $15K. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that car with 23K on it when I test drove it and bought it on the spot. It now has 168K on the ODO. I cant imagine how the insurance company justified to total the car back in 2008 with the type of damage it had but they did. When talking about totaling a RV coach you are looking at much larger numbers.
  11. I would not put another red penny into any NotSoCold versus putting it toward a residential fridge. Got rid of my NotSoCold back in 2012 in my previous 02 Windsor and the new owners are now enjoying the coach and the fridge. That runs on a Xantrex/Trace MSW Inverter. My current 06 Dynasty came with a Samsung RF-197 already installed and that has been working great also. It is powered by a Magnum PSW Inverter. I would not own a RV coach unless it came with a residential fridge. I am so DONE with RV absorption fridges and their inherent problems.
  12. I have a working Cummins Auto-Gen-Start System Model EC-30W for sale. This unit does detect no shore power if it is plugged into a duplex that is non-inverter driven when shore power is disconnected. It comes complete with the special Y-Cable needed for diesel generators. The only thing that is missing is the rechargeable battery pack which had worn out some time ago. I had the battery pack rebuilt a few times but it only last a couple of years before it no longer accepts a charge. So I switched to using two AA Lithium batteries to power the remote. Here is a web site which explains the usefulness of the EC-30W Auto-Gen-Start System https://www.generatorjoe.net/html%2Fonan%2FEnergyCom30W.html
  13. That's the same filter that is used on my previous Windsor which has the Cummins ISC-350.
  14. Or you could just leave it as is and enjoy the extra cooling airflow without the fin installed.
  15. When we owned the 02 Windsor with the PBT Floor-plan, getting to the two large pass-through storage bay trays when the slides were out was always a hassle. Don't miss that at all. Love the 06 Dynasty Countess III Floor-plan with the side opening bay doors. One bay has a full size storage slide that will travel in either direction. The second bay has a full size custom storage slide that extends the full distance in one direction (to the curbside) which allows you to retrieve everything stored in the slide tray.
  16. If you have one my guess is that it would be located in the FRB (aka Front Run Bay).
  17. Don't waste your time and money on side cameras. They are totally useless versus using the mirrors. Unless you have a DVD recorder hooked to the side cameras recording video ALL the time in case of an accident, then they can substantiate your claim, etc. Using them in lieu of the mirrors takes your eyes away from the road versus using the mirrors. I try NOT to drive at night unless it is absolutely necessary. The headlights on my previous Windsor were totally useless. The ones on my Dynasty are better but I think most of the headlights on the older Monaco's were not that great. JMHO
  18. The dealership is still operational. The only part that is closed is their RV Park where The Monacoers Gathering has been held for the past decade or so.
  19. Your closest dealer may be the one in Oregon. Have you tried to Google any information in regard to possible dealers? Google is your friend. Or you could call the one in Oregon to see if they know of someone on the west side of Canada that could help you.
  20. So, your engine now has three fuel filters, two on the passenger side and one on the driver's side. I would want to know how the three are plumbed if it were my coach, such that which one is the primary, which one is the secondary and the mysterious third one the "step child".
  21. Are you sure that it is a fuel filter? Does your engine have a coolant filter?
  22. That unit does not use the C-Plug Harness connector. I think the one that he is looking for takes the place of the actual control module box.
