  1. Started the coach for a fuel run, no air. Fortunately I could hear an air leak coming from the compressor governor so I ran to Inland Kenworth and purchased a replacement ($15). An hour later I had air!
  2. Since the drag link has a specific shape to eliminate interference, the tie rod end is crimped on to insure it won't come loose and rotate. I split the sleeve on mine, replaced the ball joint and welded it back together. A machine shop could also replace the ball joint for much less $$ than a new drag link.
  3. I use pieces of pipe in the suspension. Lift the coach as high as the air will go and put these in.
  4. 72,000 miles; 2 Tie rod ends & a drag link, Wow, must not have ever seen grease?
  5. It was just a coincidence that I heard the leak using shop air. It may have been a slow leak that turned into a large leak or possibly a diaphragm ruptured at that point in time. I considered a rebuilt one but the ISX guys convinced me to get a new Holset. If it saves a problem while travelling it's worth it but we'll never know about that now.
  6. I aired up the coach with shop air and heard an air leak from 20' away. It was the Holset Turbo Actuator Air Control Valve 3770742 . Inland Kenworth had it in stock so a couple of hours later and a much lighter wallet that leak has been resolved. Who knows how long it was a small leak and in an inaccessible spot that I probably would have never discovered it.
  7. It's called a Data Card. Mine is attached. Rev has it but just doesn't want to help pre-bankruptcy owners. 2007 Monaco Signature Noble III Data Card.pdf
  8. That got my attention. Does anyone here have that connected to Aladdin?
  9. I have a 40350-RVC and can tell you it will NOT communicate with Aladdin. You will need to install the Southwire remote monitor as well as a new communication wire to that remote.
  10. It's a time consuming job as there are somewhere around 2 million screws that have to be removed. Hopefully your Signature has the generator on a slide out for access. I bought everything from Cummins and replaced some parts as preventative maintenance. Here is a list of parts I replaced on my HDKCB Spec B: Onan HDKCB Spec B Parts 43 Belt, Drive 511-0219 $16.64 39 Water Pump 132-0448 39 Water Pump Gasket 132-0447 Coolant Pressure Cap 14 PSI 130-4320 39 40 Thermostat 130-6329 39 Thermostat Gasket 185-6004 38 Coolant Hoses 503-2500 503-2501 40 Water Temp Sender 193-0318 25 Oil Filter Adapter Gasket 122-0886 25 Oil Filter Adapter Plug Gasket 122-0884 40 Pipe, Water Return 503-2553 40 Clamp, Hose 185-6722 40 Clamp, Hose 503-2552 Onan HDKCB Service Manual.pdf Onan HDKCB Spec B Parts Catalog.pdf
  11. It would help to see a photo. Perhaps a previous owner made an "improvement".
  12. My 2007 Signature has the AquaHot 600D so there's a good chance the Executive had it.
  13. Mine has a combination of those and Mate-N-Lok II TE Connectivity Universal Mate-N-Lok Digi-Key Mate-N-Lok
  14. The Espar units I see are very low BTU compared to AquaHot. What was done to cure that?
  15. My first thought when someone has questions or makes statements about Aqua-Hot is "Which Model?" Each Aqua-Hot model is capable of different amounts of heat. The AHE-100 is 50,000 BTU, the 400 series is 56,000 BTU, the 600 Series is 64,000 BTU and the 675 Series is 72,000 BTU. The 100 & 400 models have one 1650 watt electric element. Each of the two electric elements on the 600D are 2000 watts & the 675D has one 2000 watt element and one 4500 watt element.
  16. There are deep cycle batteries which are what you want for house batteries. There are marine starting & deep cycle batteries which are not what you want for the house. A dual purpose battery is not a true deep cycle battery. Crown Article - Start vs Deep Cycle Marine Battery
  17. 250 a day, no more than two days driving before at least a day or two off. May be less on narrow mountain roads.
  18. If I had a Shoreline reel I would get a spare gear from John just for insurance!
