  1. This is on my ISM passenger side rear right behind the idler pulley (see red arrow). It looks like a small spin on filter but I don't think it's that. Anyone with an ISM have this? Does anyone know what it is? Rick P 05 Sig
  2. Since you have 3 wires in and 3 wires out, it could be this type (see below). It's hard to tell from your picture whether the box is a 2 to 3 converter or something else. https://www.homedepot.com/p/CURT-2-to-3-Wire-Taillight-Converter-56196/205632568 . As Tom said, it's a good idea to to test the wires. A meter helps verify which are coming in and which out. If you expose wire ends, check with a meter (or test light) to see which wire is energized when the the left turn signal is on, which is energized from the right. An ohmmeter will show if the third wire on that end is grounded (near zero ohm). Also, at the other end, if you get, say 5 to 10 Ohm on two, and about half that on the third, it is likely the box is of the type below; (1157 taillight bulbs would read 5 to 8 ohm, LED's, less. ) That would be if two of the wires turn out to be left and right turn and both are energized by brake, with third being ground. There may be other possibilities and the box could be something else. Note that this as well as other adapters may be available locally. Butt connectors too. .. Rick P. Jim, After writing my post I saw yours (I work slowly). Looks you are on to the right type of converter. If both the yellow and green going in are good it appears you have the problem in hand. That white should be connected to a good ground; that can be checked when you do the replacement. .. RIckP
  3. Hanging camphor blocks, like "tidybowl", can be strategically placed. I hang them in every compartment, especially where there are lots of wires. Don't take the wrapping completely off, just a little at the top so the fumes release slowly. Avoid putting it in areas which can get so hot it melts the camphor of course. Rick P.
  4. There's the part number GM 15150990 which runs in the $100 range. (https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-15150990-Original-Equipment-Accelerator/dp/B010GMRIAQ) Then part 6570417 appears to be for Monaco built coaches in early-mid 2000's , at a tune of around $600 (https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/6570417-Pedal-Asm-Accelerator) They look alike , but I believe the latter one, 6570417 , is a Hall-effect design. Is the GM 15150990 also a hall effect or is it a rheostat type? .. Rick P
  5. A few months ago our old front Penguin-II Heat pump was toast so we searched & called around for a 651816HXX1C0-01, planning to change the front thermostat also to switch the front thermostat to the CCC2. After a frustrating experience with two different RV parts dealers telling us they "had" the Penguin, ordering one and then discovering they did not have it or had a different model, we made a decision to go with the Blizzard-NXT, model H551816AXX1C0. it's about 3 1/2" higher than the Penguin-II model but other than that, works the same with the new CCC2 thermostat. ... 6. I found out that it' possible to convert most DirecTV Traveler antennas to Dish. Winegard's info on doing the conversion is good, as is their online tech support. It took about 2 hours to do the conversion on our new-to-us 05 Sig. That includes hooking up and activating my receiver as well as carrying the DirecTV LNB and related parts to my garage. By the way, I now have the "kit" to convert back to DTV, which I don't think I will any time soon. If someone has Winegard DirecTV Traveler that was converted to Dish and wants to convert it back, let me know by PM. (Winegard says it is not possible to convert a Traveler that was originally a dish model to DTV with these parts.) UPDATE: Did the conversion to DISH last week and tested the Travler. Went thru its power down and after it was stowed, started up and it found the DISH satellites OK. Reception was great. Yesterday I powered down and got an "EL Motor Stall" message. Went thru the manual and found info on doing a reset; after that I was getting "AZ Motor Stall". Called Winegard and the short version is that the Traveler is gone. They do not have replacement parts because it is "too old" and offered a "refurbished" Traveler at about half the price and half the warranty of a new one. Thinking of other options. I was able to manually stow the Travler... wondering if it's worth trying another power on to see if the problem went away. Rick P. [not happy with Winegard]
  7. I tried two months ago. None had the correct PenguinII for my ducted system. Got a Blizzard from Tweetys; they seem to be readily available... it's a few inches higher but cools well.
  8. Thanks. I found a few sources for that Parker 300200 part. It's on my next filter order list. I;ll clean the old one as best as possible and hold on to it as a spare until then.
  9. @DR4Film, Excellent idea to relocate the HWH compressor in the FuelTank-LPTank bay! Another project for my growing list. Rick P 05 Sig
  10. I removed the preflter screen (300200) of the Racor 90S1230c filtration system on my ISM500 and found lots of gunk. Monaco owner manual says to clean in solvent but doesn't say what kind of solvent to use. I don't know how long this has accumulated. First time I had the filter element changed the mech. left this alone. That was 2k miles ago and it didn't look that bad from the angle where I could see into it. Has anyone with this Racor-300200-pre-screen had this much gunk in it? Monaco owner manual says to clean in solvent but doesn't say what kind of solvent to use.
  11. Frank, Still learning a lot from the posts and files on this site. I wish I could say that I've read and thoroughly studied all these 🙂 Rick P. 05 Sig
  12. Hi Frank I just went through my files which I've been accumulating for my 05 Sig. Here's what I found; checked listings, I don't think there are any duplicates but I may have missed. I'll be submitting them within the hour. Let me know if any didn't come thru. 06/25/2020 05:44 PM 833,801 Aladdin Troubleshooting.pdf 05/22/2020 06:50 PM 242,740 Girard-G2000-WiringDiagram.pdf 05/21/2020 10:17 AM 116,854 Heliotrope-RV-45D-Solar-Panel-Manual.pdf 10/27/2015 08:51 AM 342,901 HWH AIR LEVELING SYSTEMS TEXT BOOK ml20635.pdf 05/12/2020 11:44 AM 323,640 HWH-AIr-Leveling-2000Series-ml25489.pdf 05/16/2005 09:29 PM 414,684 HWH-Air-Leveling-RepairManual.pdf 05/18/2020 01:43 PM 1,112,556 Monaco-2005_Signature_Air_Line_system.pdf 05/18/2020 01:42 PM 21,274,771 Monaco-2005_Signature_Wiring_Diagrams.pdf
  13. The Bedroom Monitor displays only a "white-screen" when the Aladdin is turned on but the dash monitor works OK. The label on the back of the bedroom monitor shows "LCM-702R"; the data card for the coach lists "TRISTAR LCM-702R" . Presumably it is part of the coach's "See-Vision" system. I checked the Aladdin box under the dash. Two cables plug in to its RCA jack outputs. If I remove the cable which I think is going to the rear, that screen goes dark. So it looks like the video signal to the rear is coming from that output. Moved the cable coming from the front monitor to that output jack and it shows the output is good. Bedroom Monitor has a DIN 8-pin connector which presumably passes power and video. I removed the shelf from the wall cabinet in the bedroom where the monitor is mounted and found a male 8-pin DIN connector plugged into a Female DIN. That short cable to the monitor has DC power wired in to it. My preliminary diagnosis is that the monitor is likely bad, but it could be that something is affecting the video signal between Aladdin and the rear. If it was just an RCA connector that would be easy to check but I don't have an adapter from the DIN to anything else. My wiring diagram book shows a different monitor (Panasonic CYV7500U) with what looks like RCA connectors so that's no help. Has anyone repaired or replaced one of these? Does anyone have the wiring for the Tristar LCM-702R? Suggestions please. Rick P, 05 Sig
  14. Hi Paul, It happened after I had the power off, e.g. unplugged and both battery switches turned off. After I turned power on I noticed that driver side front window awning going out... some minuted later it wen in by itself. Could it be a "feature" of the inverter software of that era? Rick P, 05 Sig
  15. This morning I noticed one Girard window awning go out about half way ; then about 1/2 hour later it came back in. No, this is not a joke. After it came back in I notice it is about 1/4" from fully in the "home" position. I seeing that before... weeks ago, once or twice. I thought it might have been wind. (I do not know if I posted this in the correct section.) .. Rick P 05 Sig
  16. I've been using DeLorme Street Atlas 2008 for some time now. I started using DeLorme products a decade earlier than that, upgrading every few years. Whan I looked a few years back, Delorme Street Atlas was no longer available... even for older years. Street Atlas2008 does run on Win 10 . Anyone know if Delorme StreetAtlas 2015 or earlier years are now in the public domain? If so would it be possible to post disk images here? Ron, Have you tried copying the scratched 2015 DVD using another computer? ... Or using an external DVD? Hope this helps/. .. Rick P
  17. Thanks, I'll check settings on mine Rick P 05 Sig
  18. What are the settings you recommend?
  19. I think that there a lot of Monacos out there of the '04 to '07 vintage which have a double set of house batteries. That is there are two sets of four golf-cart type 6v batteries in a series parallel set up. One of the four 6v-golf-cart setups is in a tray in the big, (standard) battery compartment and the other tray contains the chassis batteries. The second set of four is in a smaller compartment, aft of the mani battery compartment with an identical set of four 6v-golf-cart batts. (1) The first question which came to my mind is: why did they do it that way? It would seem that putting the chassis batteries in the aft compartment and putting all eight of the four 6v-golf-cart batteries in the big compartment would have made more sense. It might have even shortened some of the Chassis Battery cables going to the starter. (2) Secondly, with the big compartment dedicated to House batteries, why have eight of the golf cart types? Could one of the trays be eliminated, installing four bigger 6v batteries, L16's for example. That second option would reduce the number of cables/connections, although I do not know if there are larger batteries available which would match the capacity of the two golfcart batteries being replaced. Has anyone done, or considered doing (1) or (2)? Are reasons not to do either? I'd appreciate advice. .. Rick P 05 Sig
  20. Thanks, I wound up taking measurements. It turned out that the Lower hoses were the same as Gates specifies for the DD60 on an 05 Sig. Posting this info here as it may help someone else out. Radiator hoses Dayco (for DD) Gates Equivalent Lower - Pipe To Engine 71736 21302 or NAPA 7722 Lower - Pipe To Radiator (lbl 72139) 72140 20397 or 21194 The Upper hoses measured differently than the hoses in Dayco's spec for the DD, The ISM hoses are: Upper - Pipe To Engine 70920 21194 Upper - Pipe To Radiator ??? 23795 or 21516
  21. I checked the Dayco website yesterday. They only list the DD for the 05 SIg (and Exec), although that year the ISM was standard and ISX was an option. I then checked the site for the 06 SIg (& Exec); they list hoses for only the ISX version. For the 04 SIg, they list the DD. Finally, for the 04 Exec they list hoses for the ISM (only). They list hoses for the 03 Sig with ISM also. Not sure which to go by I wrote Dayco,. If they give an answer I'll post it here..
  22. I'm planning to change coolant on my ISM. I think it would be a good idea to replace the radiator hoses at this point. Does anyone have the Dayco or Gates part #s, for those hoses?
  23. Note: From Racor's wiring diagram I was able to determine continuity of wiring to pump motor and of momentary switch. Measured voltage from switch when momentary was pressed at <12vDC so that momentary switch button seems to need replacement. Cleaned contacts of 6 pin connector between control panel and pump unit with contact cleaner & put back together. Pump worked. Replacing the filter unit with the new 790R30 is now in the *Eventually* section of my to-do list.
  24. I finally received some info from Racor about the older, obsolete system and I submit this to show similarities and differences (hoping this helps someone else): Electrical wiring between coach and filtration system are the same three: 12vDC power, remote warning light, and ground; connectors may be the same. Part#s of the obsolete systems are 12962 for control and 48027 for the filtration unit. The new is 790R30. The fuel connectors are 7/8"-14 UNF fittings (SAE J1926) in both cases. If I can re-use my existing connectors there may be space to put shutoffs in horizontally (I like pwhittle' s idea of putting in shutoff valves). If the old connectors are not re-useable I'm not sure what's involved installing (crimping?) new ones. Suggestions? The filter elements used are different, the old using the Racor S3230P; the new uses the Racor R90P. The now obsolete 12962/48027 system has prime and "drain water" capabilities, whereas the new, 790R30 system has only the priming capability, with draining done manually. One possibility, now that I have the complete spec of the old system, is that problem diagnosis/repair may be possible. If it's the momentary switch which is preventing the pump from working I may try that repair, at least in the short term. If the pump motor is bad, I guess the whole thing is 'toast'. One way or the other, I know I'll eventually install the 790R30 . I am not sure if I can post the documents Racor sent me. All have copyright notices.
