  1. Check the fuel line to and from the genset to the fuel tank. Pin hole leaks introduce air into the system. IMO, the fan belt can create a lot of problems. Like most all systems in a motor home, Preventive Maintaince (PM) is a recommendation in all the manuals. Yet, a lot of folks ignore it. Nothing breaks until you start to use it. I have always suggest that if your coach has set up for several months, the weekend before you leave on a trip take the coach out to a local campground and live in it for a couple days and nights. 2. Monaco purchased a complete front axle assembly back in those days. Check on the part of the axle facing the rear of the coach for the number. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  3. IMO, Monaco added the temp sensor for a reason. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  4. Be aware there are a lot of cavities inside the diesel engine depending on the engine size that can hold up to a half a gallon of antifreeze after draining. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  5. Frank B is correct. If you do not replace a alternator that has a DUVAC provision, you will run into a lot of problems. There are alternator shops out there that have NO understanding about DUVAC. All they want to do is make a sale. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  6. I recommend you install a high end strainer to keep particles out of the pump. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  7. What is the "etc?" That might be a clue as to what is wrong. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  8. For us half the fun of driving anywhere was the drive. We would see new scenery. Everywhere we went was a two timer, The first and last time we went that way, or it was come back to see more in the future. We never let the cost of fuel determine where we went. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  9. If I were you, I would go pick up my coach and move it to another shop. Seems that that shop is creating more issues than repairing the problems you are seeking to be repaired. I hope that they will release the coach without any payments for the mistakes they made. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  10. I am having problems following the time line of your post. How can a turned off AC last night and it came back on yesterday? Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  11. So you forget what you forgot? Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  12. One of the few braking systems that are both Progressive and Proportional. Using the controller in the coach, you can dial in any amount of braking needed for any situation. Great in bumper to bumper 5 mph traffic. I would adjust the controller to zero and let the coach brakes stop the toad, saving the toad brake wear. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  13. Check for air in your water lines. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  14. Monaco had a defective run on ABS modules. The problem was the spring under the push button was too weak causing the button to activate while traveling due to road vibration. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  15. You might want to unplug your coach from shore power until the problem is resolved. If someone accidently removes the neutral wire from the system, you will get 240 vac into your coach. The local power company needs to come out. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  16. • REV Recreation Group is recalling 538 2017-2021 Fleetwood Bounder P Model, Holiday Rambler Vacationer P Model, and 2018-2021 Fleetwood Southwind Model P motorhomes. The floor may have improperly sealed holes that could allow gases such as carbon monoxide to enter the living area. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  17. You might want to check your universal joints. When is the last time you greased them before this time? They should be greased every 3 or 4 thousand miles. Make sure they are in Phase with the correct drop angle at ride height. If the U joint that is closest to the front of the coach fails and drops down, you will do a lot of damage to the rear end, transmission, and the engine. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  18. Lowes and Home Depot has it in the plumbing department to install in bath tubs to keep folks from slipping while standing. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  19. Wives have ways around that. Us husbands end up loosing that battle. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  20. True, BUT the door stays closed 99% of the time. Try leaving the door open and see what happens. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  21. I remember reading in a earlier life that the air conditioners cannot bring down the inside temperatures lower than 12 or so degrees lower than the outside temperatures. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  22. Always get your alternator rebuilt because some alternators require a DUVAC wire. Check your chassis wiring diagram to see if your alternator has a DUVAC wire. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  23. Just put all the red cables on one side of the battery cut off relay. Disconnect the small wires and tape them individually and store them. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  24. On some coaches the dash gauge ground buss is located on the generator side of the firewall. Loosen up all the screws on the ground buss and spray it with WD 40, retighten. Road vibration will cause the wire nuts on the back of the gauges to become loose. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
  25. Dometic sells a tool to clean around the rubber seal every so often. Toilets need preventative maintance also. Chuck B 2004 Windsor
