  1. I have a 2005 Safari Gazelle, which Monaco would I reference when researching for maintenance and repair information? Thank you
  2. Have you reviewed the Aladdin troubleshooting information located in the files section on this site?
  3. I have read on recent post that if your fan blade has dirt build up it changes the pitch of the blade and does not move the air across the radiator properly. It might be worth looking at.
  4. No, this is a switch not a current limiting device. The higher amperage rating allows higher current flow without damage. It does not mean you will see higher current flow.
  5. I replaced my chassis and house batteries with the 600 amp heavy duty marine switches. They both failed internally shortly after I purchased my coach. The footprint was somewhat larger, but I didn’t have to change the cables.
  6. My owners manual says their is a fuse behind the toilet. It’s worth a look even though the schematic doesn’t show it.
  7. In early April traveling through Texas seals in my hydraulic pump and PTO failed allowing transfer of transmission fluid to over pressurize my Nelson filter assembly causing overflow of the system and loss of transmission fluid. The only shop that could work in the rig was Robert’s Trucks in Abilene Tx. Pump and PTO removed and sent out to be rebuilt. I am not sure why but mechanic used yellow hydraulic fluid, not the Dexron III fluid the manual called for. Also the three filters were WIX which were reinstalled. I will be in Eugene Oregon in a week or so and will try to discuss this with Jim or Scott at Source Engineering. I will post their recommendations whether to drain/flush or keep it as is. Sorry photos failed to load. Also not able to delete.
  8. I would stick with the 52 oz. If that is what it says. There is no way to check the performance of the system unless you are moving the proper are across the condenser. Try the 52oz. and get it out on the road under normal operating conditions.
  9. Great information, please provide address to your shop and phone number to schedule appointment.
  10. I just looked at mine and it has the same hose and yellow ring. I think cutting back the hose and pushing the undamaged hose might work, but you may have to drain the tank. You might try moving the hose clamp closer to the yellow ring before cutting the hose. good luck!
  11. Ivan, thanks for the detailed information. I am not sure if I would tackle this job, but if I do I don’t want to cut any corners.
  12. Have you posted the process used to replace your air bags? Did you follow someones procedure. I would like to do the work, but want to make sure I do not miss a step.
  13. I can’t offer much help with your coach issues, but since you’re stuck in Elko the family style Basque food at the Star Hotel shouldn’t be missed. safe travels
  14. I believe you my be legal if you are under 40 feet, but over the 26,000lb limit. California publishes a recreational vehicle hand book that states what you can drive with class C non- commercial license. Otherwise you will need a non- commercial class. B
  15. Just returned from six week trip California to Texas. Fuel prices were 4.50-7.99 my local prices today is 6.99. im staying out for the near future. 05 Safari Gazelle, Cat C9.
  16. My PAC brake will not engage if the cruise control is on. Just a thought!
  17. Just completed California to Texas and back. We towed 2009 1500 Silverado with our 05 Safari Gazelle. my mind set was to avoid in hooking the truck at any cost, but it became second nature to un hook and reconnect the truck. I still used my check list to disable the electronic transmission and re-enable when ready to take the truck out. Mostly had to disconnect since the pull through sites advertised did not allow our 38’ coach with full sized pickup. safe travels
  18. On my 05 Safari Gazelle I chose to go the wireless route. I removed the rear center marker light added the camera, powered the rear camera from the marker. I added a front facing camera mounted on the dash. It took some time to realize that the antennas on the monitor needed to be angled slightly towards the center of the coach to receive the signal from rear camera. Since I can not feel my 2009 Silverado when towing, it gives me peace of mind just to be able to look at the monitor and see toad. Camera system I chose also records to SD card, not sure if I will ever need the stored data, but you never know!
  19. It's impossible to trace the wires from front to back by hand. Pick up a cheap signal tracer on Amazon, inject the signal abuse the tracer to locate it in the electrical system. You will find an open if one exist.
  20. Before I went to the solenoid, I would check the voltage through the house and chassis disconnects. Both of mine failed shortly after I purchased my 05 Safari. If they are open inside you aren't going to have power at the front electrical panel. I replaced my switches with 300 amp marine switches.
  21. I chose the NSA READY BREAK, initial installation takes a few hours. It can be moved to another vehicle, but the new vehicle would need the installation kit. Just completed round trip California to Texas with 2009 K-1500 Silverado extended cab. I had a hard time deciding which system to use. I wanted to to buy the RVi-3 but read some things communications, tablet battery life and I was concerned about customer service. If I was doing it again, I might go a different direction, but it works for now. If Richard recommends RVi-3 you might look closer at it.
  22. Thanks for the information, I will check these items. I know my rear marker lights work since I used the power for my new rear camera. I will look for the previous post. We have only owned the coach a little over a year, but learn something new every day.
  23. Woody, my 2005 Safari Gazelle also moves once when I turn the key on. All other wiper functions seem to work okay. It hasn't worsened so I haven't investigated further. Please post your resolution to your problem.
  24. Have you checked the wiring behind the control panel? Maybe something vibrated lose.
