pwhittle
I found my doorbell box behind a false wall in the cabinet under the sink in the bedroom. It is a NuTone KB-10WW-1 RevA. It looks like it was stuck on and one of the plungers in inoperative. The other is not conncted. I switched the wire to the other plungers, but it is still not working. Does anyone know where the 16VAC transformer is, or how it is wired to the button and the doorbell? Thanks! Paul
ktloah
Not sure if this helps Paul, but mine was mounted in the same spot under the bedroom sink. Couldn't get it to work at all. Popped off the doorbell button and replaced it with a home-depot one and it works! Seems moisture gets in and shorts them out
Harvey Babb
It's possible that the doorbell is using 12 volt DC instead of the transformer.
Frank McElroy
Mine uses 12 vdc. No transformer.
Hypoxia
Does it have the Trimark system? Trimark Doorbell Warning.pdf Door Tri Mark Lock UM17_22271-03_2013-07-Rev_5.pdf Edited February 20, 2021 by Hypoxia
pwhittle
Thanks all. Found the blown 2a 12v fuse in the panel near the Intellitec modules. The button needs replacing too, but I can manually short the contacts of the button to make the single Ding! So new doorbell box as well.
