  1. Yesterday we decided to reroute and spend the night in Tupelo, MS. Debbie located the Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing. It’s minutes from shopping and downtown, and less than a mile off the Natchez Trace. Beautiful, wooded campground with very friendly owners who seem very easy to work with. All sites are pull-thru. It’s not new, but is well maintained.some sites have concrete pads; some are crushed stone. Full hook ups (50A) Great place to stop off for a night while heading down the Trace, or to stay longer and visit Tupelo. (Or even to stop off on the way to a ballgame at the beautiful Mississippi State University in StarkVegas [Starkville] MS!) http://www.cgbarnescrossing.com/
  2. I’ll have to go back and check. It was a local truck supply store in Atlanta. It’s on my receipt, but I’m traveling for work right now, and the receipt is at home…
  3. Steve, Responding to your original request, here’s parts info from a 2006; I’m pretty sure that didn’t change for the 2007-2008. The original brand was A Frigette Coach-Step. The Coach-Step brand was purchased from Frigette by Lippert not long after our coaches were made. You can call Lippert Tech Support with the “Vendor P/N” below and they can cross it to the replacement.
  4. Dave, my 2006 Diplomat is the twin to your 2006 Endeavor. Here’s what I learned. I ended up paying about $400/ea for new front drums. Back drums were fine. The actual OEM drums were right at $1,000/ea., so I passed and went with a quality aftermarket drum. To clarify: the $400/drum was just for the part. No labor, etc.
  5. Not sure if they’ll still do it, but REV emailed me the original window sticker (Monroney label) and the Data Sheet from my coach. I sent an email to the address: mcctech@monacorv.com and included my VIN, Unit serial number, and coach details. Took a day or two to get a response. Cara Lynch was the individual who sent two pdfs - one of my window sticker and one of my data card. hope that helps!
  6. Hello Monacoers, This weekend we are testing using a different method to send out the Newsletters and general email from the site. The new system should improve our ability to manage email delivery n if you haven’t been receiving emails and start getting them again, please let us know. if you have been getting them and they stop for several days (give us some grace in setting up the new system!), please let us know that too. You *may* get two copies of this communication, if so, please ignore Thanks, The Monacoers Moderators
  7. Or in my case, it’s usually measure 3 times and cuss once…🤦🏻‍♂️
  8. Minor point, but… Intellitec refers to their EMS as an “Energy Management System” Progressive calls their EMS “Electrical Management System”
  9. After a few hours at the lake in the RV, I was able to think more clearly and wanted to add... When I say "loose neutral", most of us (myself included) tend to immediately think of the neutral in the pedestal, BUT... that loose neutral connection can be at the pedestal, at the switchbox, at the service entry (point of connection between the power company and the campground, i.e., the meter - very common), or even before that, at the power pole (or for underground systems, the padmount transformer). Hence, my advice that if the problem is at the pedestal, let the campground, their electrician, and their host utility handle it. By virtue of the fact that we own these complex beasts, most of us are "Fix it" type folks, but for safety's sake, this is one instance we shouldn't try to fix it...
  10. Yes, it’s still available. I’m at the lake for the rest of the week; will have to get freight info when I get home Sunday. 😁
  11. You can post product names! Happens all the time!
  12. After spending decades dealing with these type issues, I can tell you it’s unlikely(but not impossible) that the power company has the voltage taps set too high. Why? Liability. If the transformer taps are set on too high voltage, the power company is liable and will likely end up paying damages to all of the customers on that transformer. Anything over 132 volts at the transformer taps and they won’t even argue - they’ll just cut a check. In 40 years I don’t ever recall having to lower the taps on a transformer because of high voltage. Not saying it never happens, just saying it didn’t happen to me with a pretty decent sample size So what could it be? In all my years of investigations, high voltage complaints typically boiled down to two issues: 1) Loose neutral, or 2) something a neighboring home or facility was doing (I.e., very large loads cutting on and off, like Tom’s big resistive load mentioned above) Can a loose neutral cause voltage to be high? Absolutely. Does your EMS detect it? Not always. This happened to me last fall at my in-laws house. Grounds were not bonded, neutral was loose, and my EMS was shutting off the heat pump in the middle of the night?l. Solution… although I knew how to fix it, it wasn’t my house so I called an electrician who brought it up to code. I ALWAYS check voltage - even at places I stay regularly - at the campground with the pedestal tester Richard @Dr4Film built for me. It also detects open neutrals The best advice in these situations was given by Ivan. Get a real voltmeter and check it. If the voltage is above 132 VAC on either or both legs, call the campground. Short of repairing their system for them (not recommended), the best you can do is use the 30A adapter and limp through. also noted… a loose neutral was the most common cause of electrical fires during my tenure. Can’t say if that’s true nationwide, but in my little corner of the world it was. Which brings me to my final admonition... Do your annual maintenance on your electrical system and make sure alll connections are tight! With NO power to the coach, genny off, and inverter off. Even then, treat every connection like it’s hot until/unless you’ve checked it with a voltage tester or voltmeter.
  13. There was an article on this today in RV Daily Tips. Also includes link to a video on YouTube. https://www.rvtravel.com/video-universal-toll-pass-end-transponders-1926/
  14. I still have the VIP211K receiver that was purchased with it for sale, listed seperately…
  15. I switched from flooded cell to AGM. Paid $179.00/ea (on sale) for 4 Duracell GC2AGMs at Sam’s Club. My 2006 Magnum ME2012 plays just fine with them. Two years no mess no fuss. After reading the manual and still having a few questions, I called Magnum Tech Support, gave them the battery brand and type, and they walked me through all the inverter settings for my specific batteries in about 10-15 minutes. Update: The Duracell GC2AGMs are currently $217/ea at Sam’s Club. Still a deal in my book The trick is a) finding a Sam’s Club that carries them, and b) finding one that has 4 in stock. With any luck, and a little TLC, they should last a few more years and I’ll think about LiPO4 or whatever’s next.
  16. Oops. Had satellite on the brain. I’ve hidden my totally irrelevant post so as not to confuse the thread. 🤦🏻‍♂️ …and I thought it was such good info 🤣
  17. If I may offer another option… I used this receiver with this antenna. No control boxes, no “power injection”. The VIP211K receiver powered and controlled the antenna with nothing other than coax between the receiver and satellite antenna. https://kingconnect.com/dish-tailgater-pro-premium-satellite-antenna/ They also make one that works with ANY satellite service for about $200 more: https://kingconnect.com/king-one-pro-premium-satellite-antenna/
  18. I haven’t worked with a Winegard Traveler, so I really don’t know. Winegard tech support should be able to tell you. I’ll check on the cost to ship and let you know.
  19. I have a DISH Network Vq2500 Tailgater HD Antenna for sale. This is a single output portable unit that supports a single receiver. Model VQ2500R manufactured by King. Well used with scuffs and scratches, but works reliably. Features Supports both HD and SD programming Display resolutions: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i Portable and lightweight with built-in ergonomic handle Compact to fit any space Weather-resistant cover Integrated security bracket
  20. I have a used Dish VIP211K receiver for sale. This is one of the best receivers for RV use and is a full function Dish receiver. It syncs quickly and will even work with in-motion dish compatible dishes. The 211k offers features and full connectivity that the other Dish receivers do not. It will interface with HDMI, component, s-video, composite and and has a channel 3/4 coaxial output that are not included in the newer units. You can add a small external HDD via the USB connector and you can schedule, record and play stored programming.
  21. I have a few more pics of Bill’s Coach I’ll try to find and share…
  22. I believe @Steven P has one of those. Maybe he will comment.
  23. All, I want to take a moment of personal privilege to share an update on my wife of 29 years, Debbie. For those of you who were at the Gathering back in February, and others who reached out about Debbie's colon rupture experienced at the Gathering that resulted in a 21 day hospital stay in Tampa, I wanted to give you the great news... Debbie had "reversal" surgery here in Atlanta in June performed by a brilliant young surgeon (Dr. Crystal Koerner). To say it was a success would be an understatement. We are now through the recovery period, released by the doctors, and Debbie is back in good health! Doc says she can eat anything she wants, which after being on a very strict "bland white" diet (chicken, pasta, rice, potatoes..) for four months is a real treat (and since I eat whatever she eats... well, you know.) Thanks to everyone who helped along the way. It was a very scary time for both of us, and having y'all around sure helped us get through it. The kind gestures, the caring, and most of all the prayers offered up got us through this. With Grateful Appreciation, Scotty
