  1. Hey gang, good news! We busted out of the hospital and are halfway home. (Valdosta, GA) we will complete the journey today Yesterday was scary as heck, and I haven’t slept in days, but joy comes in the morning, and yesterday morning she felt well, all of her labs came back clean, and we were discharged. 21 days in the hospital; 11 in intensive care, a major surgery, and an infection/relapse... Might be about a year (2023 Gathering) before I “vacation” in Tampa again… Thank you for all of your well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Special thanks to @pwhittle and @granvillebarker for taking care of Magic (it dog) for a few days each. Thanks to the ladies (and Gents) of the Monaco Gathering, led by @stacyhall for putting together the cards, games, and activities for Debbie (adult coloring books are a hit!) Special thanks to @David Pratt for helping arrange the extra days at Lazydays. Thanks to all who prayed, and who got their prayer warriors praying for Debbie. As much as we love traveling in the RV, home never sounded go good! With deep appreciation, Scotty & Debbie Hutto
  2. Heads Up: This thread is in danger of going off the rails into politics. Please remember to keep the discussion focus on RVs and politics affecting RVing. Fuel prices and a civil discussion of why they are rising is fair game. Blasting specific political parties or specific politicians is not. Personal attacks are not As a reminder, here is a link to the Site Rules: https://www.monacoers.org/guidelines/
  3. I created a new section in the Downloads section to upload STL files of your 3D creations for Monaco coaches (or any STL file, really) that you would like to share with other Monacoers members. Once we get home and can access my PC I’ll upload some of my files.
  4. Winner winner chicken dinner! But I want the Bluetooth version. 🤪
  5. Well gang, we spoke too soon. Had to take Debbie back to the hospital and she’s been readmitted for a few more days. How long do we have to stay here before I become a Florida resident? 🤪 Three weeks and counting today… Lazydays has a rally starting tomorrow, so we’ll be moving to a nearby park called Quail Run RV Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL. Lazydays has been very gracious and accommodating, and worked with me to extend my stay.
  6. Richard, I had the same issue about a year ago. It was as simple as defrosting the water tube feeding the ice maker with a blow dryer. Had to pull the ice maker to figure it out, but once it was thawed it has worked well since. It had frozen while I had the ice maker off for a few weeks in storage Hope yours is that easy to fix!! Scotty
  7. Monaco Friends, Debbie and I met with the surgeon earlier today, and Debbie is being released from the hospital today! Mel (our daughter, who is a Firefighter and advanced EMT) is here to help out, and we’ll be heading back home to Marietta tomorrow! Still a lot of recovering to be done (keep us on that prayer list), but being home and close to friends and family will speed up the process. Thank you for all the love and prayers as Debbie and I have gone through this “adventure” in Tampa. Let’s hope the Gathering next year is more fun!

The annual Ramblin' Pushers Maintenance Session (MS) held at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, IN. The MS Calendar includes Early Parking Day (4/27) and Arrival Day (4/28) with a First Timers Reception at 5:00P. The purpose of the Reception is to acquaint First Timers with the Ramblin' Pushers organization and welcome them to their first of many MSs in the future. The MS program begins on Friday (4/29) with morning hospitality and the opening session. From there, the event consists of a program of more than 100 technical seminars provided by industry professionals and knowledgeable participants. We also present a collection of non-technical sessions centering on RV Lifestyle topics, such as major appliances in the RV, planning a trip in the RV, performing interior maintenance tasks and personalizing your RV. There is also an assortment of crafts projects and other activities (Bingo, a Book, etc. exchange, and an RV related Flea Market. The event ends on Wednesday (5/4) after a catered closing dinner. Departure Day is Thursday (5/5). The purpose of the MS is to deliver high quality coach maintenance education for selected brands of Diesel pushers and Super-Cs. The brands currently eligible to attend the MS are: American Coach, Beaver, Entegra, Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler, Monaco, Newmar, Renegade, Safari, and Tiffin. The Ramblin' Pushers organization was chartered in 1990 and has presented a Maintenance Session in every year since--except the Covid-19 years of 2020 and 2021. Many of our colleagues here in the Monacoers group are regular attendees at the MS. We would be delighted to have anyone who owns an eligible coach to attend. You can learn more about the Ramblin' Pushers by visiting our website at www.ramblinpushers.org and downloading these three documents in the big blue box. The Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking the link. It contains all of the schedule and fee information you will need in order to register for the 2022 MS. The Invitation file provides information about the event and the organization. There you can find the 2019 MS Program that includes the entire schedule of events for that year and the 2022 MS Registration Form. The Half-Page Handout is a concise way to introduce owners of qualifying coaches you meet in your travels to the MS. I hope you will print it, cut the pages into halves, and invite others to join you at the 2022 MS. There are QR codes that can be used to take the user to these documents on the Ramblin' Pushers home page. Most MS participants, especially owners of new-to-them coaches find the event very useful. It is the rare person who fails to learn something new at the MS. If you are a member of the Monaco Owners facebook group, you will have seen numerous instances of persons who just bought their coach and don't understand what all of the systems do and how to use them. Very often the first replies advise these new owners to attend the MS to listen to presenters and ask questions about the care and feeding of their coaches. I hope we will meet cbr046 and many other Monacoers at the next MS (April 28 to May 5). For your convenience I have attached the MS2022 Registration Form. 10. (Also sent as an email to all members, but since we have about 500 members who have opted out of receiving any emails from the site, I am also posting this on the site.) Hello Monaco fans! Since we have a lot of new members, I just wanted to remind everyone to check your signature and make sure that it includes, at a minimum: First name & last initial Coach Brand, Model, & Year Location** ** - Location is optional, but it’s helpful to include your “home base” or where you are if you are looking for service, shops, vendors, etc. Remember, that’s at a minimum. You are more than welcome to include additional info (toad, spouse, pets, etc.) and a picture (max size 200 x 200 pixels) of your coach, etc. Here’s my sig, as an example: Scotty Hutto, Webmaster 2006 Monaco Diplomat 40DST / 2017 GMC Canyon Denali / Marietta, GA

  12. You can also post them in our Classifieds section on this site, too!!
  13. Update… Good Evening Y’all! Debbie continues to recover nicely from surgery and get stronger. We spent a lot of the day handling details and getting her set up with a surgeon in Atlanta to handle the handoff when we go home. We are hopeful she gets out of the hospital in the next day or two! Debbie is in good spirits and is looking forward to getting home and continuing her recovery there with the help of our pup, Magic (who she hasn’t seen in two weeks). Magic is safely home with our daughter, and appears quite comfortable: Thank you for thinking of us, asking about Debbie, and mainly keeping us in your prayers. PS - I’m doing fine and learning lots of new “skills”. 😁
  14. That’s what I did on my 2006 Diplomat… and yes, I greased the zerk while it was open.
  15. Hello all, I wanted to take a moment of personal privilege and update those who attended the Gathering on my wife, Debbie. For those not here, the first day of the Gathering, Debbie was was taken to the ER and admitted to the hospital here in Tampa with a serious gastrointestinal issue. She has been treated in the CCICU at AdventHealth Tampa for a week as of today. Today we were informed she will have to have emergency surgery here in Tampa, meaning we will be here another 10-14 days. We had hoped to get her well enough to travel home for the surgery, but that’s not how things have worked out. Best Regards, Scotty
  16. On my 2006 Diplomat, the water pump switch is on a different panel. I only have (had) the switch on the left to display levels. Since then I’ve replaced it with SeeLevel gauges and monitor. I have the old monitor panel shown above if you want it.
  17. To clarify, Tim and I are both correct… heat pumps on our coaches are very inefficient below 40°F, and they automatically shut off around 30°F. Newer residential heat pumps are a different story, but that’s not the subject of this post. 🤣. The technology that Dometic (Duo-Therm) used and still uses in RV heat pumps is about 40 years out-of-date.
  18. Penguin heat pumps shut off at approximately 30°F according to the manual.
  19. No worries! The plumbing in our coaches only have one relief stack. All of the sinks have an air admittance valve under them (somewhere nearby) to allow air behind water so it drains easily. You know they’ve gone bad when you can *smell* your gray water tank inside the coach. 🤣
  20. Mentioned by @granvillebarker in the Roundtable at the Gathering: Better air-admittance valve for coaches than the ones you can buy at big-box hardware stores: https://braxtonharris.com/products/pv112/
